Life Note (Death Note Fanfic)

It's been five years since Light stopped killing, crime has went up the rails again.. but, it's been five years since L's death aswell. All Light could think about was what he could've done before Misa walked in on L and Lights first kiss. No matter what he did, he grieved every pity second he lived.. "I JUST WANT HIM BACK" The soft voice of a broken hearted man echoed through his room, in his empty house. Little did he know what was about to come his way.

Nothing new, Light spent his remaining days trying to make up for the bad he caused, he gave up on college, the task force even. Everything reminded him of L and it destroyed him right to the core.

"Hmm.." He groaned to the sound of his alarm clock repeatedly screaming, it just wouldn't... "SHUT UP!" Light swung his hand across the alarm clock, hitting it across the room. He jumped out of his bed and into his normal clothes, sunlight beaming through the curtains as he opened the door.

I can't handle waking up to the same thing, I know I go on and on about it but look at me, I'm a mess without..

His tears rained down his cheek, the sorrow filling up his heart was caged inside.

"I miss him, I need him.. SOMEONE DO SOMETHING" He pleaded and pleaded, that's all he could do.. hoping for something or someone. Awaiting his eyes, the notebook fell, similar to the deathnote. Light hesitantly walked over to the notebook, he instantly knew that a notebook falling from the sky wasn't normal, trust me. He picked up the grey covered notebook and turned the cover around, "Life Note?" Light froze, closing the door behind him he walked into his room and swept through the pages. It was very similar to the Deathnote, it had rules and a bunch of empty pages. "In order to use this notebook, read the following rules. Those names who're written in the death note shall be granted the opportunity of life once again. If you burn the notebook or such as lose it, all the people you brought back to life will die in the same way at the same time." Light shook uncomfortably, he dropped his pen and cried. "This means.. I'LL BRING YOU BACK LAWLIET, I WILL!" he was crying and smiling at the same time..

ink to paper, L Lawliet.. He awakens, at 10am he arrives at my door step, knocks on the door with full memory of who I am.
