"Are you OK? You look pale." Asked his mother.

"I'm fine, just tired" Replied Marcus.

"Atleast I hope I am." He thought.

You see. for the past few hours, Marcus has been contemplating whether he's crazy, or he's the luckiest person in the world. And like any normal person he's rooting for the latter half. This predicament started when he woke up. For some odd reason he felt like none of this was real. Like reality is fake. It wasn't until he recieved a quest from his mother that he figured out why he thought this way.

Quest: Wash Dishes After Dinner

Looking down at his food, he couldn't taste a thing. It was hard to describe. Sort of like nothing with texture. "God, oh god. I think I am going crazy" he thought. "Should I tell mom? No! I don't want to be labeled psycho by her!"

"Well, I'm going to my room. Don't stay up late." She said while walking away. After seeing her go to her room he pondered. Wasn't that long of a ponder for he whispered "status"

You are now a gamer. You shall Complete quest, tasks, and missions. You are now in the begginers tutorial and I will act as your guide. You have 30 days in the beginners tutorial. After 30 days tutorial will be over and 'the guide' will no longer function. You can choose to finish or skip the tutorial. I will answer what questions I can

Looking at the sudden words he was both excited and startled. He was going to scream, but remembered his mother and suppressed it to an awkward squeel. Realizing what just happened he started to think. "Guide? like an NPC who shows the newbs what to do?"

Looking over his status he remembered his quest. Grabbing the dishes and walking towards the sink he called out "Guide, how do you function?"

"Guides function when called upon, guides can also be called by thoughts"

"Well that's great, tell me everything you know."

The dish washing only took 4 minutes, but the guide kept on talking until he went to his room. He took out a note book and wrote down everything the guide told him. It could be summarized into an RPG game. You level up, increase your stats, and do quests, tasks, and missions. These quests can be issued by any person. Tasks are when quests are broken down. An example would be hunting a deer for someone, task 1 track a deer down, task 2 kill it, task 3 bring to the issuer of the quest. Last but not least the Mission, it consist of multiple quests. Thinking he had everything he needed to know, he decided to end the tutorial.

Thinking to himself he called out guide. "End tutorial."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes" He answered.

Thinking to himself once more he thought "I got everything I need to know, what's the worst that could happen?"
