5 My Idols

"Come on Tev your on now. Break a leg." Chloe cheered loudly giving me a boost of confidence which I needed terribly.

Our sound check didn't go extremely well. Nicoles voice was surprisingly shaking so we had to stop the sound check early in order for her to tend to her throat. Since I'm lead vocalist I offered to help her on her high notes in our performance. But now I'm kind of regretting the offer I let out as my body wasn't in the best of shape either. My body was in pain mentally and physically and I didn't know if I wouldnbe able to cope.

"I rather not break my leg today, Chloe. Thanks for the offer but no thanks." I replied sarcastically as the stage lift I was on started to move. Lizz preformed her song just before me and was walking towards the other stage lift. As I was waiting to start she was being lowered to under the stage. We were on opposite sides of the stage so I could see her pretty clearly.

She was gasping for a air once she knew her body couldn't be seen by the audience. The lift she was on jolted to a halt and she stumbled out nearly dropping to the floor. Handing a bottle of air, water and a protein bar to her, I could see that the rest of the band was starting to get worried about our performance. Nothing bad has happened yet but that only means that everything could go down hill very quickly. I shared one last worried glance with the girls before my lift started moving up and my solo song started blasting through the speakers.

I got into position and held my microphone loosely at my side in my right hand. As I emerged from under the stage the crowd started to scream loudly and frantically. I gave a slight smirk at the camera which made the crowd shout even louder. 'If looks could kill', am I right?

It was as if time was messed with and now everything passed in slow motion. The crowd jumping up and down, me dancing and singing to my full ability, the music blasting through my ear monitor and the sensation of happiness filling my body from head to toe. It was as if nothing matter in life anymore. Just me, the stage and most importantly the fans. Nothing could compare to this. And I owed it all to our fans.

Well... Not only my fans. If it wasn't for my idols I wouldn't have even thought about singing. WAR, the name of the group I idolised. It is a group of 7 middle aged, korean men who were full of fun and had different personalities. Their names are baby J, Tae Tae, Gloss, WWH, Joon, Sunshine, Kookie - (if you know, you know 😉). God, if it wasn't for those guys I wouldn't be here doing what I love.

I preformed as perfectly as I could with little to no mistakes. As I was running off stage a fan screamed "Please one more solo song!" They pleaded. I laughed and waved towards the fans voice. I ran back stage with a greatful smile on my face. To be honest I didn't feel any pain which was great.

But as soon as I got back stage I collapsed to my knees. This was normal for all of us. We put so much effort in out performances we foget the result of of our when we're finished. I crawled for air and some water. Thankfully the girls handed them to me quickly and efficiently.

Nicole was on next. She was to enter through exit one second sub stage. Which meant I couldn't wish her any luck beacuse she was on another stage to me. I just hope her voice is alright.

"How was she?" I managed to gasp to Chloe. "Yeah...., the docor gave she some weird tea to help warm up her voice so now she should be alright but you still need to stand by to cover for her. If she needs help she'll press her ear monitor. This should send a beep through your monitor. When you hear that beep, that when you need to help her. When she doesn't need help anymore she will send the beep again." Chole throughly explained as I wolfed down the rest of my cold, bottled water.

"I hope this performance will go well." I wish out loud. Chloe nodded in agreement as both of us sighed in unison.

One wrong move and we've disappointed the whole crowd.
