The Birth of Lunox Chapter 1

One starry night, where a war started, there was a dying father trying to protect his pregnant lover. His name is Orfax and he was once served the Dark Abyss while his lover came from the forces of light.

"Orfax! I c-can't t-take it anymore," she said as he was shielding his body trying to protect the lady as the ongoing war became more cruel. "I love you. I love you! R-remember that."

Orfax coughed blood as he hugged her. "I love you too, I'm sorry I can't g-give you and our baby a peaceful life. I'm s-sorry."

They looked into each other's eyes and started giving up as tears fell down their bloody cheeks to feel the last minute of their lives.

The lover of Orfax screamed, desperately praying that her baby will not get harmed until the war's over.

"It's happening," she whispered as she let out a continuous scream trying to deliver the baby quickly as Orfax created a dark shield from the last bit of his energy. He knew this shield won't last long since he's weak and almost dying. The lover's last scream was louder as she began to close her eyes for welcoming death. Orfax, on the other hand, witnessed the whole thing. He smiles as the baby cries making the war stopped. He lifted her to his dead lover's chest as the warriors looked confused about their urge to never start war again.

"That baby!" the biggest man in the field started to bow his head, wanting to serve for that family but it was too late.

"Lunox," he whispered but he was sure that most of them heard it as his soul lifted up from his body.

It was dead silence, only the baby's cry filled the air but they seem to enjoy the energy that the baby released since she was born.

"I will take care of Lunox," a half man half horse said.

"No. I will!"

"You can't! I have the capability to take-"

"You wish to die?!"

"I'm just saying."

They should've started fighting again, but with the presence of the goddess, they all looked at her with hopeful eyes.
