9 Almost Level Up!?

These days, I have been soo busy that I forgot to check my quest. I quickly to check what daily quest is available.

"Ho, nice I just needed to earn 500k and I will level up." I was overly excited and called the director who is now my manager. "Hello Director, have you chosen any script?" I asked with anticipation.

"I got one, it's a commercial for a perfume brand and it will pay 80k dollars" He replied.

When I heard the amount of money I will be getting I was a little disappointed. But I accepted it anyways because commercials are easier to act in than movies and I was a newbie so I can't argue with the price. The only problem is the commercial shoot will start in 3 day times so I needed to wait for it. I asked the director for at least 3 more commercial because I really wanted to level up. He gave me 3 more and all of them pay in total of 150k dollars.

The 3 days passed by without any problem. I spent time with Sofi, my classmates storm around my table and I relaxed. When it was about time for commercial shoot, the company driver came and pick me up. When we arrived, I saw big cameras with a green screen where I was going to shoot. I was going to act with a known actress I was quite nervous and scared because if I failed I might trouble the commercial crew and my dream might be crippled.

After waiting for 5 mins, the producer shouted "Let's start the shoot." When he said that all my nervousness was gone and system screen pops up saying that intermediate acting book activated. I found that strange because there was no pop up for the writing book. I did not think of it because it got all my nervousness out. We started shooting and my body moved on its own and started acting. In this commercial the girl needed to hug the boy after the boy spray the perfume.

The shooting took only 2 hours and it was all done in the first takes. The camera crew were amazed and started complementing me and the producer was also quite pleased with the result. They invited me to a dinner party but I declined them because today was Sofi's birthday and we were going to eat dinner at her new home.

I quickly went on the car and told the driver to stop at a nearby mall. When we got to the mall I went inside and tried to find something for Sofi.

After looking for quite a while, I found a jewellery store. I went there and asked the worker if there is any gold necklace that is a good fit for a girl. She took out a stunning gold necklace. It cost 1000 dollars but I agreed to buy. I gave her my credit card and before I was about to buy it a couple behind me wanted the gold necklace and asked to buy it. When the worker saw what clothes the couple were wearing she quickly went to their side. At the time I was stay drenched with sweat from the shoot. I quickly asked the worker that I was going to buy it and the worker sneered at me and said "you can't afford it." I was furious but I kept my calm and just decided to choose another jewellery. There was another worker there so I went to her and saw a beautiful blue diamond necklace. I quickly ask for the necklace. She took out the jewellery and the price was 10k dollar. I decided to buy it because I was running out of time and it was a really beautiful piece of gem. When I was about t pay for it, the other worker who sneered at me quickly came to my side after failing to sell the gold necklace to the couple. She quickly snatched the necklace from the other worker and said "He can't afford it." When she said that I could not hold my anger and shouted "mind your own business!" The manager heard the shouting and quickly came out.

"What is going on?" The manager said and the rude worker quickly went to the side of the manager and said "This poor boy wanted to buy our necklace." I just waiting while the manager came closer. When she was about 4 meters away from me the manager recognized who I was and suddenly changed his tone. He packed the diamond and quickly swiped my card to pay for it. After I quickly went out of the store, I heard the manager scolding the rude worker and demoted her while the nice worker got a promotion from an intern to a full time.

I was quite pleased with the result and went to Sofi new house. I hid her present behind my back. When I arrived we started to celebrate Sofi turning 17. After the eating and celebrating, I told Sofi to close her eyes. When she closed her eyes, I too out the necklace and put it around her neck. I told her to open her eyes and when she saw it, she said "I can't accept this, you keep giving me awesome stuff but I have not done anything." And started crying.

I told her "No, you are the only love one I have."

After a while, she stopped crying and reluctantly accepted the gift. After the presents it was already almost mid night and I wanted to sleep. I asked Sofi if I could sleep here in the guest bedroom. She agreed and I spent the night in Sofi's home.
