Duel for engagement? No! This is a duel for the strongest! II

[Third Person POV]

The explosion in the arena completely shook the artificial sub-dimension created by Ajuka. Two magnificent demons fought at full power, presenting a rarely seen sight. Most demons prefer to use ranged attacks and magic, avoiding brutal head-on combat.

But this time, they were all mesmerized by the might of the two mad demons down below. The perfectly designed arena was a silent witness to the clash of power.

The spectators, consisting of various factions within the demon society, held their breath watching such a fierce battle. Energy sparks and explosions repeatedly resounded, as if creating an inevitable symphony of power.

"Eugene and Sairaorg... they're completely different," whispered one audience member in awe.

"They fight like real soldiers, without using magic," added another, his eyes not leaving the arena.

Amidst the admiration, Sirzechs, who was refereeing the bout, watched with interest. The expression on his face showed a deep respect for both fighters.

"Amazing, those two really gave it their all," he muttered to himself.

Eugene and Sairaorg continued to exchange blows, each strike carrying enough power to crush an ordinary opponent. But they were no ordinary opponents. They were two of the strongest demons of their generation, each possessing admirable determination and strength.

Amidst the frenzy, Eugene swiftly dodged Sairaorg's attack, then countered with a punch wrapped in a destructive aura. Sairaorg, with eerie calm, countered the attack with his Touki Raja, creating a blast of energy that spread throughout the arena.

The audience cheered, unable to hide their awe. This was a battle that would be remembered in the history of the demon world, a rare and amazing display of power.

Amidst the frenzy, Akeno, who was taking care of Issei, was watching and didn't realize that the man she was taking care of started to open his eyes with his head still dizzy.

"Urgh... Where am I?" muttered Issei, trying to gather his wits.

However, no one was paying attention to him. Akeno, who was nearby, was glued to the large screen in the hall, just like everyone else. The screen displayed the intense battle between Eugene and Sairaorg.

Issei woke up feeling confused. When he looked up at the screen, he saw a battle in full swing. "Eh? What's going on? What about the duel?" he asked in confusion.

[You've been replaced, kid! Also, be quiet. I can't focus on watching their fight if you keep making noise!] Ddraig, the red dragon inside Issei's Sacred Gear, sounded annoyed at being distracted by Issei's voice.

"Eeeh? But my duel?" protested Issei, feeling disappointed.

[Shut up!!! Just watch their duel!] Ddraig snapped, forcing Issei to pay attention to the screen.

Issei could only sigh, seeing how powerful the battle before his eyes was. Eugene and Sairaorg exchanged blows with arena-shaking power, each showing their best. Although he was disappointed not to be able to fight, Issei couldn't help but admire the two fighters.

Eugene nimbly dodged Sairaorg's attack, then countered with a punch wrapped in a destructive aura. Sairaorg, calmly and confidently, countered the attack with his Touki Raja, creating a burst of energy that spread throughout the arena. The crowd's cheers grew louder, showing how impressed they were with the performance.

Amidst it all, Issei could only stare in awe, realizing just how strong the two men fighting in front of him were. This was a valuable lesson for him, a reminder of the long road he still had to travel to reach their level.

Elsewhere, a tall man with a handsome face, blond hair, and blue eyes was staring at the screen of a tablet broadcasting Eugene's duel through a channel called Deviltube. That man was Paulus, the mysterious figure who had met Eugene yesterday on the beach in Okinawa.

"Wow... Look at your brother, isn't he amazing?" he said to someone who was sitting on a pile of fallen angel corpses.

A man with a terrifying and gripping aura, tightly grasping a sheathed sword that bore the symbol of a string of red roses. "Yes... he really is my wonderful sister," said the man from the shadows with a faint smile.

"Okay, so when are you going to be frank with him?" Paul asked.

"I don't know, only time will tell," replied the man as he stood on a pile of corpses. Behind his back was the figure of a fallen angel with five pairs of wings.

The fallen angel was a tall, pale man with long black hair and slanted, blood-red eyes. Unlike other fallen angels, he had elf-like pointed ears and only one name: Kokabiel. He sat with a body full of his own blood and countless fresh cuts. "GHOK!" He was coughing up blood, his condition was already very severe. Even so, the look in his eyes did not collapse. Even in this condition, he kept a sharp gaze on the opponent in front of him. "A... I don't know about this. Because the man called legend has a son other than Eugene."

The man who had slaughtered his subordinates turned his head slightly towards the dying cadre of fallen angels. "Heh... Does the whole world have to know that I am his son? Also, what do I care about it?" he said in a sarcastic tone.

"Heh, son and father are the same. You're acting really insolent!" Kokabiel smiled wryly even though blood was still flowing from his lips.

Paul laughed softly, watching the interaction. "You do like to make people angry, don't you? Like father, like son. I wonder what will happen if Eugene finds out about this."

The man simply shrugged, staring back at the screen showing Eugene's duel. "Let time tell. Now, let's enjoy the show."

His colleague Paul just sighed and gave him the tablets. Then, he walked over to Kokabiel as he spoke. "Well, I only told you to cooperate with him, but why did you slaughter all his subordinates?" he asked curiously.

The man didn't seem to care. "Troublesome, they attacked me as soon as I got here. Therefore, I cut them all off. It wasn't my fault, but they attacked first," he said in a casual tone.

"HEY! WHAT CRAZY PERSON DOESN'T SCREAM WHEN YOU COME IN WITH A MONSTER-LIKE AURA!!!" Kokabiel shouted with all his strength, blood still flowing from the corner of his mouth.

Paul chuckled at the shout. "You do like to cause trouble, don't you? I guess they didn't know who they were dealing with."

The man just shrugged indifferently. "Yes, let them learn the hard way. Now, let's focus on this duel. Eugene will definitely put on an interesting show." He returned his attention to the screen, watching the fight with sharp eyes full of anticipation.

"Haah, geez," Paul muttered before refocusing on Kokabiel who was almost at the end of his life. "Alright, Mr. Kader, let's talk business."

Kokabiel looked up with a look full of hatred, but also exhaustion. "What do you want from me now, Paul?" his voice sounded hoarse and weak.

Paul shook his head with a faint smile. "Tsk tsk tsk... You seem to have misunderstood. We didn't come to ask you for something, we came to offer our cooperation." He said in a casual yet firm tone.

The fallen angel cadre, staring with a suspicious expression. He laughed briefly, though his laughter sounded bitter. "Huh... You want me to cooperate with you while you have a smile like that? Never mind, you'd better kill me!" he exclaimed in a tone full of scorn.

Paulus moved closer, looking Kokabiel straight in the eye. "Don't give me any trouble, sir. Rest assured, we will not interfere with your plans to disrupt Gremory and Sitri's territory. All we want is to bring our people into the execution of your plan," he said in a serious tone.

Kokabiel paused for a moment, considering Paul's words. He swept his gaze over the mysterious man standing behind Paul, who remained silent but alert. "And why should I trust you?" he asked finally, his voice weakening but his eyes still filled with hatred and distrust.

Paul shrugged, smiling broadly. "You don't need to trust us completely. All you need to know is that our offer can help you achieve your goals more easily. We have resources and information you can utilize. After all, what do you have to lose by trying?"

Kokabiel fell silent again, thinking hard. He knew he was in a weak position and didn't have much choice. In a voice full of desperation and uncertainty, he finally said, "Alright, I'll listen to your offer. But remember, I'm not doing this because I want to, but because I have no other choice."

Paul smiled with satisfaction, signaling the mysterious man behind him to come closer. "Good. Let's talk about the details. And remember, this cooperation can benefit us all."

Kokabiel could only nod weakly, realizing that his fate now depended on the deal he had just made with his old enemies. In desperate situations, sometimes enemies can become allies, at least for a while.
