1 So we Died?
'Where the hell am I' I couldn't help but wonder. Just earlier today I was talking to my friends, and listening to my teacher's boring lecture. However I now find myself standing in a strange white room. Looking around I saw many familiar faces, including my best friend James. Sadly though seeing James didn't help me figure out where i am or how i got here. Before I could get too deep into my thoughts a strange figure appeared in front of everyone here.
"Hello young ones, my name is irrelevant so you can just call me god." To be honest i kinda believe him. After all it would explain how not only I but all my friends and classmates suddenly found ourselves here. But that only raises another question 'Why did god summon us?'. Although it was a simple question it was certainly a question that could not be overlooked.
"I know you all have many questions and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities. First things first you are all dead." Hearing that last sentence I couldn't help but gasp. After all I am only 15 years old, I have ambitions. But now you're telling me I am a dead man. How am I supposed to react to this situation, am i supposed to brush this off like nothing ever happened, or am I supposed to scream and shout in anger? Before I could even process a reaction god spoke again.
"Secondly i'm here to offer you all a second chance. Although you won't be reborn on the same planet I can most certainly allow you all to keep your memories upon reincarnation, not only that I will also grant you 2 wishes that will allow you to have anything you desire in your next life."
Now I'm even more confused than when I first got here. 'Why the hell would god grant us wishes? Actually I don't care anymore, I'm sure he has his reasons.'
"Now then if you could all line up for me in a single file line so I can start reincarnating you all and granting your wishes. Oh and by the way, you will all be reincarnated into the same world so don't go doing anything stupid."
Seeing that he was going to say nothing else we all decided to get in line. I of course chose to line up at the end of the line. After all, I wanna ask god how many idiots asked for a system in their next life. With nothing better to do I just silently stared at the back of the person in front of me's head and waited until it was my turn to have my wishes granted. After about 2 hours it was finally my turn, and me being the smart person that i am asked. "How many people asked for a system?" After all, I was genuinely curious how many people asked for such a useless thing.
"45 out of the 75 people who were just reincarnated asked for a system" That's about the number i predicted. Welp I guess it's time to make a wish.
"God, my first wish is to have true immortality, you know the kind of immortality that wont let me die even if i wanted to." God seemed a bit shocked when he heard this then he looked at me with an extremely serious expression and said.
"I can give you the true immortality that you desire, however you would no longer remain as a human and instead become a zombie. Are you absolutely sure you want true immortality?" This came as a bit of a shock. In order for me to have true immortality I need to become a zombie. It honestly sounds like a fair trade to me, however i need to know if i would keep my sanity after becoming a zombie and would i start to decompose after a while, with that thought in mind a look at god and was about to open my mouth before he stopped me and said.
"You don't have to worry about any side effects that are related to the way you think. And you will not have to worry about decomposition, however you will not be reincarnated the same way the others were instead your soul will be placed in a vessel that I have made in order for you to gain your true immortality and turn into a zombie."
Fantastic, I even get to skip the child stage. Now i guess it's time for me to make my second wish, and i'm certain all of the other reincarnated individuals will hate me for it however it must be done.
"God, for my second wish I want you to erase whatever the other reincarnated individuals wished for. This includes systems, and cheats that the other wished for in order to enhance their lives." God looked confused, really, really confused. Noticing this, I began to explain my reasoning.
"God, I understand why you would be confused but bear with me for a moment. What would happen if one of the reincarnated individuals was caught, or experimented upon and suddenly vows to destroy the world. Although that is extremely unlikely it is still possible. I can also guarantee you that if they got too strong and they got into a fight with one another. The aftermath of the fight would be unbelievable. So i hope you can understand my reasoning… On a side note what kind of world am i going to? Is it a fantasy world ,a modern world, or maybe a modern fantasy world?" God looks at me, sighs and says.
"The world you and the others will be reincarnated into is called Dohval, it is a fantasy world of swords and magic, there are many races including but not limited to Dwarves, Elves, Beastmen, Dragonkin, Demon's, Angel's, Dragons, etc. If you want to live a peaceful life I recommend you avoid human settlements." That answered most of my questions, and unfortunately it seems i will be avoiding humans for most of my life. Well that's fine.
"God, before you send me off, do you mind if I take a look at my new body, after all it would be good to know how I look considering I'm gonna be a different race now." God looks at me and waves his left hand. What appeared next to God was a slender man who was about 6 feet 2 inches tall, he had black hair, he had eyes with a black Sclera and golden pupils. However the thing that really stood out the most about him was his light purple skin. Honestly I was expecting green but I guess purple is fine too. Once I finished my inspection of my soon to be body I turned to God and said.
"God, I'm ready to go, if you don't mind please send me to a place you believe to be the best for my new life to begin." And just like that without waiting a moment I was tossed into another world as a zombie.
