16 Chapter-16: Creating AI and Alex's Website

The next two days were exclusively dedicated to Jim's task of writing the AI code. As he worked on the code, he gained insights into various concepts, utilizing the extensive hours available in the System's learning room. The AI he was developing would enable him to compile a list of things not present in this world, providing faster information retrieval and expediting the creation of applications and websites.

Simultaneously, Jim's writing skill showed significant development during this period, reaching 29.79%. This meant there was still 71.21% more to achieve an intermediate level, reflecting his ongoing learning both in the System and in real life. This progress indicated the distance he needed to cover before considering himself a veteran in writing.

On the third day, Jim successfully completed the code for the AI. Given his recollection of concepts from his previous life, he comprehended everything except for a small portion of the AI. This solidified his real-life coding knowledge at an advanced level. While the prospect of reaching master and grandmaster levels loomed ahead, Jim acknowledged the need to delve deeper into these advanced concepts to elevate his skills further.

With some tests and error-checking, Jim bought a server for $200,000, along with a floor featuring noise isolation and installations for temperature regulation of the server, costing $3000. This setup was placed in the urban hub near his home. He initiated this purchase on the day he started working on the AI, and it was installed within two days. Now, all he needed to do was upload the data for the AI, specifically in English and the AI application.

Jim made the purchases under his mom's name with her permission. The excuse he gave was that storing data related to the game required a server and storage, and his mom, believing in his explanation, agreed to the purchase. After finalizing the deal, they had a talk.

"It feels unreal using $200,000 to buy things when I was stressing about your sister's and your education fees," said Ava, Jim's mother, appearing on the verge of tears. These days, witnessing her son's success left her overwhelmed, happy, and most of all, relieved.

"Well, Mom, now, as you can see how my game and novel are performing, you don't have to feel any stress. Focus on your business because you love it, not because you need to," reassured Jim, hugging his mom as she got emotional.

His novel was now ranked 12, just a few positions away from breaking into the top 10 in popularity. Although not as significant as the income from the game, making tens of thousands of dollars was a notable achievement for him as an author and writer.

"Yeah, I am relieved," his mom said, feeling tired as she went to her room to sleep. Meanwhile, Jim headed to his room to continue working on the AI.

With the AI uploaded to the server, he initiated the application on his phone and computer, both of which gained direct access to the core functionalities of the devices. The AI began handling background applications deemed unnecessary, optimizing both devices for better performance. It also downloaded data related to current technological developments in the world and scoured the internet for regular data, storing it for the server. For storage accessible to the server, he utilized the NAS device that came with the server during the purchase.

After completing these tasks, he connected the security operations of his game "Candy Crush" to the AI. The AI had certain files allowing it to be used for security purposes in applications and games, complete with auto-learning features. However, it wouldn't learn by itself; it needed to gain experience through real-world attacks. Jim performed various attacks and tests on the game's security to enable it to adapt and observe its responses. Thanks to the AI's rapid processing capabilities, Jim recognized its potential for securing his applications and games that involved online connections or the internet.

He also told his mom to use the basic AI version created by the main AI, which included only some fundamental features. This version was intended for his mom, her friends, Gia, and his friend's phones. The next day, when he met Alex and Luke in the living room of his home, his mom and Alex inquired about the application he had sent them. Jim explained his idea to them:

"Well, I was thinking of creating an application similar to the AIs used by tech companies for easy mobile accessibility. Mine offers more flexibility, with features such as a nearly accurate voice command function that can understand your words with high accuracy. It also includes capabilities like setting a timer to call someone since my AI's recall power and data retention are quite high. However, it's limited to small tasks, and if the recorded tasks in memory exceed 1 GB, it won't store more unless we clear that 1 GB," Jim explained to his mom and Alex.

"Wow, how do you know how to make an AI? No, not that. You are really knowledgeable in coding. But why don't you release it along with your game if it's that good?" asked Alex, displaying an amazed expression at Jim's creation, while his mom appeared to comprehend everything he said but might not have fully grasped how remarkable it was for him to accomplish.

"Well, Mom, let's just say I created this while thinking of you. You have many appointments and need to write many things down, so you can just tell the AI to store those appointments as a reminder, and it will do so for the rest of its life until you confirm that the appointment or whatever you put as a reminder is done," Jim explained to his mom, who looked happy about his thoughtful gesture.

He then turned to Alex and said, "Hmm, I created this for only us. The market doesn't need AI right now, as there are various options available online. Mine is for our use only because I don't want to share it with anyone else. I will create a more basic version with good voice recognition, but that's it." He didn't explain further why he didn't want to share it, and the main reason was that the AI was handled by his main AI. Using it as his company's product would require managing billions of people, and he didn't have the capabilities to do that right now.

As they were having a conversation, Alex asked, "So, how is the website going? My videos for the course until my class are complete, and now I am waiting for the website and application to start running."

"Well, it's nearly done, but yeah, on our last holiday, we can upload the material you made online," said Jim, mentioning that he was nearly done with the website, but the application might take some time.

"Well, Mom, you can also upload the learning course on beauticians and related subjects for some price. It will be an easy way to earn money. If it becomes popular, just teach them online in your free time about more advanced concepts like Alex will do. The only difference is you can show your face to the public if you want," he suggested to his mother.

"Hmm, I will think about it," Ava said, contemplating the suggestion. She felt it was a good way to make money to expand her salon business. As Jim's mom, she also needed to show why she was his mom and set an example for Gia to follow. With that determination, she went to her room.

Alex and Jim had a little more time together as they talked about the website, and Alex went home since Luke went out to play, and she couldn't stay late at Jim's house today.
