30 Chapter 27 - Akuma's Request...

Yoshino stares at me.

"Fanishnating..."

"Huh?"

I look at her, confused. Then, the principal enters the room.

"Ohoho! I can explain... Shadow magic takes years to learn. The average person usually takes 30 years to learn and master shadow magic, but here you are. Someone who just saw shadow magic for the first time about 5 days ago just used it like a pro."

"Well, it was pretty easy to learn."

"Hah! Well, there was something else to this..."

I look over at Yoshino.

"Huh?"

"Your principal place a bet on you. If you could use shadow magic proficiently during this test, which you succeeded in. The bet was that if you succeeded, then I would do one thing for you. So... Do you have anything in mind?"

'Huh... She is in the military so I could probably get things exclusive and that no one else could get.'

After a bit of time thinking, I remember something in my old world.

'In RPG's games and animes, there is usually a guild with quests... It might be fun to try that out. This school is great but I also want to try a guild...'

"Yeah, I have something..."

"Okay, what is it?"

"Well... I really want to try and join a guild."

This causes everyone to go silent.

"I-I see... Is there any reason why?"

"No, not really. I just want to try it out."

"Ohoho! What a good idea! I advise you to go to Ruland's guilds. They have a lot of quests."

"I agree; however, you need to go in person to get a guild's card. I can, however, give you a military card that lets you travel to any town or noble district without having to pay a tax. Will this work?"

"Yeah, that'll do! Thanks!"

"Alright, I'll give the card to the principal so you can pick it up tomorrow or your next day of school. Bye!"

After speaking, she disappears.

The principal smiles at me.

"How's about you come by in the morning so you can start your guild's adventure."

"Sure, but..."

"Don't worry about class. You just have fun doing quests. In a couple of years, you can come back and start class in the same class."

"Wouldn't that class be more advance? Will I be able to keep up?"

"I wouldn't worry about it that much. You would probably sleep during the lectures because of how easy it is. Oh, and don't worry about Tomo. She will still be in your class this time."

I look over to Tomo who has been silent this entire time.

"Yes... I... won't leave... like... last time."

I smile at her and back at the principal. "Okay!"

"Well, it's about time for you two to leave. See you tomorrow Akuma!"

I bow to her and left with Tomo. After saying my goodbyes to Tomo, I teleport home.

After teleporting home, I immediately go to bed.

...

The next day came extremely fast. After doing my normal morning workout, I teleport outside of the principal office to retrieve my military card.

Once teleported, I knock on her door.

"Come in!"

I enter the room to see the principal. "Ah, Akuma. I don't want to waste your time so here is your military card."

"Thanks!"

I bow to her and took the card that she was holding. I started to leave but she stopped me.

"Wait! Take this. It's a map of the entire land. It should help you find a guild in a near town in Ruland."

"Oh, thanks!"

I took the map and put it in my pocket. I bow to her again and left the room, and then teleported outside.

"Let's see here."

Once outside, I grab the map and look at it.

'Huh?'

As I read the map, I notice that one spot looked similar to one where I been before.

'Isn't this where Tomo was trapped? Well, that makes this easy.'

I put the map back away and teleport to the place where Tomo was once kidnapped.

...

After teleporting, I was in a field on debris. I run over to the sidewalk so no one thinks I'm trespassing.

The field was where the noble's estate was, but now is a pile of debris. I ignore it and look on the map to find the guild.

After walking around a bit, I started to notice that no one was staring at me like those in Elvania. This made me a bit more comfortable.

The town I was in had mostly humans, but there were some other races. I don't know their names but some were human-like with animal ears and tails. Others had scales and different shaped heads.

After a bit of time, I finally found the guild. I enter the building that had many people within.

The insides were like an inn or a bar. There are some desks at the front and huge walls that had bulletin boards hung to them. I walk up to the desk. A lady stands there looking at papers.

"Excuse me, I would like to sign up with the guild."

She looks away from the papers to look at me with an annoyed look.

"Age?"

Age? Umm... What should I say? How old is Tomo? Well... I look like I'm 17 so I guess I'll say that.

"17?"

She looks even more annoyed.

"Sorry, but we a policy that requires those who are under 18 to have parent permission or have an ID card. Do you have either of those?"

Well, my parents are died and are in another world so I don't think I'll be getting permission. ID? I do have a military pass with my name on it so it might work.

"I have this military card. Does this count as ID?"

I hand her the card. She looks over it and then cast magic. "[Authorize]!"

She then hands the card back.

"Well, it seems like the card is real so I guess it counts..."

She looks even more annoyed.

"Ugh... Sorry but it looks like we can't take any more children into the guild. We have too many low ranks that there aren't many quests. Please come another day to check if there's a spot."

"Oh... okay."

I don't think she's being real. She probably doesn't want to talk with someone who looks wimpy. I can't really complain so I nod toward her. As I begin to leave, a muscular man walks past me, knocking my shoulder.

"Ay, ay! What do you think you're doing man? Starting to pick a fight? If you don't wanna fight, then you better gimme some compensation. You do know what that means, right?"

Everyone around starts laughing. Even the female at the desk starts laughing.

I look at him, annoyed. What a loser. Trying to pick on someone based on what they look like. This is why I hate this world's humans. I try to ignore him, but he grabs my shoulder.

"Ay, ay! Are you trying to run away without paying? I can't have that happen. You better start paying or the pain will start rolling!"

I smile deviously.

"You want to play, huh? Sure, let's play."

I teleport behind me and then kick his legs down. He falls. Afterward, I put one hand above him and cast lightning magic. '[Lightning]!'

Sparks shoot out my hand and a blue streak of lightning flies toward the man. Once it lands onto the man, he gets shocked and burned. His hair puffs out and his skins turned into a darker hue.

I didn't want to kill him so I cast healing magic at him, fixing him instantly. Everyone around stares in silence.
