24 Chapter 23 - Tomo's Secrets...

"Tomo, please tell me everything!"

She looks down with a saddened expression. After a bit of time, she looks up.

"Okay..."

She begins to tell me that she's a half-elf half-human. This breed has enormous power beyond human and elf capabilities. Elves and humans reject them, making most of them homeless.

However, some humans do accept them as moneymakers. Since they have enormous power, one can make superhumans. There's a spell that can make a baby the race of one of the partners. Therefore, if this breed produces a child with a human, the human can ensure that the children are human.

Then they would sell this superhuman to other families who want high power in their bloodline. 'What an awful thing!'

She was one of the children who were in production; however, something happened to the spell. Once this happened, the owner captured her in a cell for later use. At age ten, she escaped with a maid; however, the maid got caught and sentenced to death.

'Another awful thing!'

Apparently, this owner has been seeking after her for years. She said that someone told her where she was. She guessed that this person must be highly advance in magic to exactly pinpoint her location.

After talking about her past, she begins to tell her dream. Her dream was to learn to fly so she could find the blue devil. The went to school in hopes to learn to fly; however, after being in there for a month, she figured out that she'll never learn attending here.

She gave up and changed her dream. She thought if she couldn't fly, then she would walk until she finds me, the blue devil.

She's searching for the devil because she believes that he can change the world. The world, in her eyes, is falling apart. Races are discriminating and fighting with each other, while the demon lord is destroying kingdoms.

The entire world is at war. She believes that the blue devil can bring peace to the world by ruling it. He will become the overlord of the world, making nations bend to his will. With that, the world will come to peace.

She isn't the only one to believe this. Before attending this school, she crossed paths with a kingdom that worships the blue devil. After staying there for a week, she devoted herself to finding him; however, she had no luck.

She explored the entire forest of the blue devil's den in search of him, but he wasn't there. She probably searched before I got reincarnated...

"That's... it."

"I see..."

I took in all of the information. 'Damn, that's pretty deep...'

"Tomo... I know you were looking for me because I'm supposed to be able to 'save' the world, but I don't think I have enough power to fight everyone at once."

"No! I... We know... you can!"

I look at Tomo blankly. I know the blue devil is supposed to be this figure with infinite magic possibilities. He could destroy the world in many ways, but...

No... Who cares? I was forcefully dragged into this world. I should live my life how I want to, which is helping Tomo. Plus, ruling the world might be fun.

I smile devilishly. Haha... Yeah, ruling over everyone in this world might be reliving! And if I continue to grow stronger, and master magic, then maybe I can take on everyone at once.

The thought grows on me. In my old world, I was ordinary. Nothing special. But in this world, I can be the overlord and save many lives. I'll kill many, but killing isn't that bad either...

I start to laugh. "Haha! Yes, I'll do it. I'll help you Tomo and the rest to create a peaceful world."

'Peaceful...'

Tomo's eyes light up. "Really..."

"Just to be sure though. Is this what you really want? Many lives will have to perish."

"Yes... I have seen... many lives... suffer. If... you can... save those lives... and more... then I'll... follow you."

She smiles at me. I smile back. "Okay. Then I'll do it, but let's stick around at the school for a bit. Knowledge is power after all."

She nods. 'Well... Today was an eventful day.'

"Well... It's pretty much night so I'm going to sleep. See you at school tomorrow!"

"Alright..."

We say our goodbyes. Afterward, I teleport back to my cave. Before sleeping, I start to cast a spell. "[Vibrate]"

[Vibrate] is a spell that shakes a target. I tweak the magic circle so it would shake me in the morning vigorously. "Heh! The first alarm clock in this world!"

Well, it might not be the first alarm clock, but it's an alarm clock nevertheless.

After casting the spell, I head off to bed.

** Suno Masako's Point of View **

'Hmm...'

I look at the destruction that the blue devil left behind. After a bit, I cast communication magic.

"Sir, This is Masako. The mission was somewhat successful."

"Huh? What do you mean somewhat?"

"Well... The devil destroyed the noble and his house who captured the girl; however, he didn't attack any other building."

"Then that means the mission failed!"

"No, the devil probably dislikes them even more now. With a little bit more push, we can make him think humans are the worst creatures on the planet. Then he'll destory all human kingdoms."

"Let's hope so. I'll let you handle everything. Just don't disappoint us. One wrong move will have the devil exterminating us instead of the humans."

"Yes, Sir!"

Communications ended. 'Okay, we are so much closer to our goal!'

I smile as I leap away into the darkening sky.
