4 Part 1 - Beginning Of A Friendship?

"Good evening to you Mr Bless, I'm glad that you're finally awake from your coma. I would like to examine you first to make sure everything is okay if you don't mind?" Asked the doctor.

"Good evening, sure be my guest!" Bless replied.

"Oh! Uncle Fuku!" Emilia suddenly bugged into the conversation and greeted the doctor as if she knows him already.

"Good evening Emilia, I'm glad to see that you're doing fine." The doctor replied with a smile on his face.

"If you don't mind Emilia, I need to do some checkups with Mr Bless here. So may I close the curtain for a moment?" He then asked politely to Emilia while holding the curtain on his right hand.

"Oh of course! I'm sorry for bothering you hehe." She said and just smiled as the doctor pulled the curtain close.

"Very well then, let's start." The doctor began to do the medical examination on Bless. For about 15 mins passed, he finally done with the checkups and told to Bless,

"Well, you look pretty well, despite lacking nutrition and water. Overall nothing is abnormal. Your blood pressure seems okay, your pupils seem fine. Although, you also lose some good amount of muscle in your body which nothing to bad once you're able to do some rehabilitation. We will need you to stay here for a few weeks until your body is completely healed. Are there any issues or pain in any part of your body when you woke up?" The doctor told Bless about his condition and began to ask for some questions.

"Well, my head was bleeding when I woke up and it happens a few hours ago too. When I think too much, I feel some strain on my head where the injuries were." Said, Bless as he touches his head gently rubbing his fingers on the bandage.

"May I take a look for a moment?" The doctor asked while he gently takes the bandages off to see the wound on Bless's head. He then carefully examine the wound and conclude that it isn't fully healed yet.

"It seems that the wound opened up, this may be because you were putting too much stress on yourself when you're awake. Don't worry, I'll have the nurse patch it back up for you and have it clean to avoid any unwanted infection." The doctor straight away called the nurse to come and help Bless. Cleaning up his wound and carefully patching it back so it won't tear up again.

Finally, the doctor and the nurse left the room, leaving Emilia and Bless alone once again. Things were getting quite awkward for Bless because he has nothing to do to spend his time whilst Emilia is still reading her book and listening to her music. His eyes linger around, searching for anything that he can do or play with just to waste his time around.

He then searches the drawer on the side of his bed, hoping that Isabella might leave something for him but sadly it was empty. When he was just about to give up searching, Emilia threw something on his bed and said,

"You can play with this for the time being if you're bored..."

He grabs the item and replied,

"Uh, thanks!..." He takes a closer look at what the thing was.

"Pokámon... How old she thinks she is... 5 years old? Ah whatever, I guess it's better than having nothing on hand." He starts playing the game just to cure his boredom. Without knowing, a few hours had passed and the sun already set. In the end, he was obsessed with the game and gets really annoyed when he couldn't beat the final boss.

"Aaaahh!! This game is a scam!!" His eyes burn with rage as he shouted while holding the game down.

"Emilia!! How-" when he was about to finish his word, he looked over to Emilia and saw her fell asleep during her readings. The book she was reading is laid onto her lap while her head slightly titled sideways as she sleeps. Bless was speechless, seeing this girl a few hours ago infuriated, annoyed and sometimes cheerful have this innocent look while she sleeps. Her beautiful skin, silky blonde hair with such famine figure truly makes Bless's heart skipped a beat at that time. He shakes his head trying to get back to his sense and came close to Emilia as he took the book of her hand and place it down on the table.

"Well, I probably shouldn't disturb her right now." He scratches his head, thinking of what should he do afterwards. Suddenly he heard a growling noise coming from Emilia as she suddenly mumbles in her sleep

"Hun..gry.."

Bless who stood there looking at Emilia, tries to hold his laugh off so he didn't accidentally wake her up.

"Oh well, I guess it's already time for dinner. I guess the nurse will be here at any moment right now." Said Bless quietly as walks away from Emilia and goes back to his bed. Playing back with the game, he wasted another 30 minutes trying to beat the last boss until he heard a sound of stroller being pushed from the other side of the door. The nurse entered the room seems familiar to him but he couldn't remember when or where did he see her before. As she came closer with some food on the tray, Bless silently look towards her name tag and saw it's written 'Marie'.

He then remembers who she was, it was the nurse that seems quite close to Emilia. The one that Emilia called her 'Aunt Maria'.

The nurse saw that Bless was giving a hard stare at her and began to ask,

"What's wrong there?"

Bless was surprised that she caught him staring at her and he tried to explain himself

"Uh! No, it's nothing! It just that, you seems familiar and I realized from your name tag that you're the one that Emilia called Aunt Maria."

"Oh? Is that so. Yeah, I'm Marie but Emilia usually calls me Maria. I'm her nurse and in the meantime, I'll be nursing you too." She placed the food tray down onto a sliding table, attached to the bed that is used by the patients to eat their food.

"Thank you for the food, and I'll be in your care then." Bless replied with thanks while bowed his body down a little to show respect to Maria.

Maria looks over Emilia and saw that she is sleeping. Gently, she wakes her up and slowly Emilia opens her eyes and sits right up as she smells the food in front of her. She rubbed her eyes and yawn before pulling the sliding table close to herself. Bless just looks at her while he ate the food in front of him and disappointed with the taste of it.

"Eeek!.. I never guessed that hospital food can be this bad.." He whispered to himself.

After Marie finished prepping the food for Emilia, she pushes the stroller back out from the room and before she leaves she said,

"Make sure to rest after you eat okay, Emi?"

Emilia while still being a little sleepy just nodded as she slowly eats the food. Once Marie left the room, Emilia realizes that Bless was still staring at her eating.

"What do you want.." She asked as she gives him the death glare.

"Hmmm... I'm quite surprised you're able to live with this kind of food. It tasted disgusting. No salt not even a hint of pepper." Bless starts complaining as he pushes his food away after a few bites.

"That's not my problem, as long it's edible then I'm fine with it." She put down the bowl that she's holding and glare onto Bless.

"Besides, if you don't want that food. You can always just give it to me." Said Emilia with a sudden blissful smile written on her face.

"e...eh..." Bless end up giving her his food and just watches her eat. The more he looks at her the hungrier he gets. His tummy growled so loud until it fills the entire room.

"Ah! That's it! If you can eat those things you called food, then enjoy it!" Bless suddenly get off his bed and reaches the bag that Isabella left for him underneath. He opens it up and saw a sweater inside that he could wear to go outside. He rummages the bag a little deeper and found his wallet is also in there filled with cash.

"Sheesh... She's really acting like a sister right now." He said to himself as he smiles, reminded himself about Isabella.

Emilia who just watches him silently began to wonder what's he doing. She looked at Bless putting on the sweater and slowly walks towards the door.

"H-hey! Where do you think you're going! You're not completely healed yet! You can't just walk outside by yourself!" Emilia shouted as Bless opens up the door. He turns around and smiles while saying,

"Well, what do you think I'm going to do? Looking for 'real' food of course! Since you look like you're worried about me, why don't you come along?" He said. He opened the door in front of him and waited for Emilia for her answer.

"... I'm not going to be responsible if we get caught by the nurse!" Emilia shouted again as she slowly hops off from her bed and followed Bless. He just looks at her as she walks thru the door and giggles a bit.

"Sheeeesh, what a girl. How can she eat those tasteless foods to begin with! Ah whatever, I'm starving. I hope there's a convenient store on the first floor or something." He said to himself as he walks thru the corridor with Emilia. He carefully holds onto the railings along the corridor so he won't fall due to the plaster on his leg. Emilia, on the other hand, isn't waiting for him and just walk quickly towards the elevator at the end of the corridor.

"Slowdown there ma'am, I can't walk that fast with this thing on my leg." Said Bless as he keeps on baby walk towards Emilia.

"Like I said! I don't want to be responsible if we get caught!" She whispers. Looking around from left to right, when she confirmed that there's no nurse around, she pushes the button, calling the elevator up to the third floor. She enters the elevator and waited at the door with her hand on her waist, staring at Bless with a grumpy look as Bless carefully walk closer to her.

They both got in the elevator standing side by side and before the door closes, Bless said,

"Geeez... I really prefer the sleeping beauty I saw not long ago. I wonder if I could see that side of her again someday." Emilia was shocked as she heard Bless mumbling. She froze in place, her face slowly turns red as she looks over to Bless and shouted

"Y- you stalking me in sleep! You pervert!"

"Who knows~" Bless replied as he laughed and the door of the elevator slowly closes.
