1 Chapter 1

Math class, boring to most people but to Reneè; it's the most interesting thing.

A smile graced her lips as she listens to the man at the board while quietly solving some equations in her book.

The lesson was cut short when the door slammed open. Her eyes slowly raise from her book to the guy standing in front of the class.

Her mouth parts slightly as she takes in the man standing before her.

His dark hair falling over his dark emerald eyes. His cheek bones strong. Jaw and nose structures perfectly defined as if it has been hand-made by the gods. And his lips...

She couldn't even try to explain how they looked; one word

Beautiful

Her eyes trail down his neck to his broad shoulders then his muscular chest before going all the way down.

He truly was a sight to behold

She was sure she wasn't the only one who thought that.

"What are you doing in my class by..." the teacher- Mr Cameron -glances at his watch "... eight, twenty-four.

"I'm new." His reply simple and straight forward

Mr Cameron sighs "I wasn't informed of a new student. Anyways, introduce yourself."

"I'm Liam, Liam blaq." His deep voice echoes through the room. His eyes scan the class before landing on her. She couldn't find the courage to look away. He stares at her, his eyebrow slightly raising before glaring at her then looking away. "Take a sit."

She shifts uncomfortably in her sit as she watches him walk towards her. A sigh escapes her lips as he walks past her to the empty sear behind her.

She shakes her head slightly trying to forget about the boy behind her, turning her attention on the teacher.

"Did you see the new guy? He is hot." The Asian girl she has recognized as her friend, Lucy says. "Don't you have a boyfriend?"

Lucy rolls her eyes "Just because I'm dating Andrew doesn't mean anything. If I wanted to get another guy I would have, I just don't want to." She pauses "Don't tell him I said that." Reneè chuckles, knowing that despite what she is saying, she still loves him.

"Hello ray-ray." Her best friend, Carlos takes a sit beside her. She smiles remembering the first time he called her that.

FLASHBACK

Her tears slowly roll down her chubby cheeks before dropping into the puddle below. She sniffles wiping the liquid running of her nose with the back of her hand.

"Hey." She looks up to see a little boy around her age standing not too far away from her. He had the same blonde hair but hers were a little darker. His brown eyes clashed with her blue ones.

"Why are you crying?" He says taking a sit beside her. "T-the other kids, they b-bullied me and p-pushed me." She points to her scraped knee before busting into more tears.

She always got bullied by the other children. She was really smart for a five years old, and was prettier than most girls in their grade. The teachers adored her and they all envied her.

The boy wraps his arms around her pulling her into a hug, then wiping her eyes with his thumb. "I'm sorry for what they did to you. They are stupid and they don't deserve you so forget them."

She shakes her head.

"But I don't have Any one to play with. They won't be friends with me." That's when the boy smiles, his dimples on full display.

"You have me." He says making her frown "W-we're friends?" He nods aggressively and she smiles. "C'mon." He grabs her hand pulling her up to her feet before they head back to their class.

"Eww, what are you doing with that weirdo." One of the boys says as the rest of the kids snicker. Her new friend walks up to him, pushing him on the ground. "Don't you ever call her that again or else." He threatens the boy who is on the verge of tears.

They both stood outside their class waiting for their parents. "What's your name?" She remembers the question she's been meaning to ask him.

"I'm Carlos." He smiles.

"I'm Reneè." She smiles back.

Carlos sees his mother waving at him. "Well Ray-Ray, My mom's calling me. I have to go."

She frowns

"Okay but my name's Reneè not Ray-Ray." She corrects him. "I know that's what I said, Ray-Ray. Bye." He gives her a quick hug before running to meet his mother.

"Who was that cute little boy you were talking to?" Her mother says lifting her up in the air, she giggles wrapping her arms around her mother's neck. "That's Carlos and he's my friend."

Ever since that day, Reneè and Carlos were inseparable. He became her best friend.

End of FLASHBACK.

She sigh in content, the memory still fresh. "I told you stop calling me that." She reminds her so called best friend but he shrugs, "It's not my fault you couldn't say your name right."

Reneè rolls her eyes at Carlos, picking up her tray and walking away from the table.

"Where are you going?" Carlos yells after her.

"Away from you."

"That's because you can't stand how hot I am."

You wish

She turns to glare at him but immediately regrets it as she bumps into something...

Or someone

Her eyes trails up from a pair a black combat boots till she was met with a pair a green eyes glaring at her.

"Can't you watch where the fuck you are going?" Liam snaps at her, malice laces his voice. She stares at his white shirt now covered in her orange juice.

"I-i'm so sorry."she stutters, his pink lips curl upwards into a snarl, "Sorry isn't going to fix my shirt."

That's when Carlos decides to step in.

"Hey she said she's sorry. What more do you want her to do?" Liam takes a step towards Carlos. "I don't think I was talking to you, was I?" Carlos matches his step, "Well you're talking to me now."

"Carlos."

She grabs his hand, slowly shaking her head, making him step back. "I can p-pay for the shirt..."

She tries to reason with him but he stops her. "I don't need your stupid money." He glares at Carlos then back at her, then storms out the cafeteria not before bumping his broad shoulder against hers.

'I don't think he likes me very much.' She thinks to herself while soothing her aching shoulder.

"Thanks for dropping me off." She says to Carlos who is parked in front of her house. "You don't have to thank me every time." He flashes her that dashing smile she has gotten used to.

"Yes I do." She answers him, leaning down to place a kiss on his cheek. She smiles when she sees his ears turn red. "Bye." He says sheepishly before driving away.

"Hi mom." Reneè places a kiss on her mother's cheek.

"Who are those for?"

She points to the batch of cupcakes on the island.

"It's for the new neighbours." Her mom replies and she frowns.

Since when did they have new neighbours.

"Since Saturday. They moved into Mr. Murphy's old house. And of course you wouldn't notice when you always have your head buried in a book." She realises she said that out loud.

Mr. Murphy was a nice old man. He lived with his wife but she died a year ago. He couldn't continue to live in the house because apparently the couple had been in the house almost their whole life together, they were there even before Reneè moved in. They had so much memories together in that house that he decided to leave.

The house has been empty for months until... now.

She grabs a bottle of Dr pepper and some leftover pizza from the refrigerator before retiring to her room.

After taking a long refreshing shower and changing into comfortable clothes. She settles on her bed to watch some episodes of Stranger things on her laptop.

The sound of a car alerts her. She pauses the video. With her drink in hand she walks up to her window. There was a black car in her new neighbours driveway.

'I'm sure that's them...' she wondered

A man steps out of the car a mop of brown hair blinding her vision. She couldn't see his face from where she was. The man suddenly disappears into the house.

Her eyes snap up to the window in front of hers as she hears the door to the room open. Her eyes widen when she recognises the man.

Liam steps into his new room, a sigh leaving his lips. He drops his bag on his bed and sits down, while Reneè watches his every move.

He takes something from his table. He stares at the object in his hand, his mouth moving but she was too far away to make out what he's saying.

He keeps the object in its original spot. Standing up he. Stretches, his hand going to his collar.

Her brows draw together, contemplating what he will do next. Before she knows it in a swift motion he takes off his shirt throwing it across the room.

Her jaw drops. Her eyes roam his lean torso. His chest and arms had muscles but he wasn't buff in anyway. Her eyes drifts to his eight pack abdominals before stopping at his jeans which hung dangerously below his waist giving her full display of his V-line.

She didn't know how long she stared at him. Unknown to her, the bottle slips out of her grip, crashing on the ground then breaking into a million pieces.

The sound alerts Liam. His head turns to her window, she quickly hides behind her curtain silently praying he doesn't see her.

Unfortunately her mirror was directly across her window enabling Liam to see her perfectly.

He narrows his eyes as he recognises her from earlier today.

She was the girl that spilled drink on him... and now she was watching him

He sighs shaking his head before entering his bathroom

After making sure he was gone, she closes her window before focusing on the mess she just caused.
