10 DOUBLE LIFE

Tracy is a woman who has been successful in everything she has done and wanted to do. On the one hand, Tracy is a woman who has the facility to get along with everyone, because she is a positive person and exudes pure happiness. There is also, the fact that all men dream of dating her, and it is the envy of women.

Tracy is a religious woman, and every Sunday, she goes to church, to hear mass, and whenever she can, she helps others and donates a good part of her money to churches and hospitals.

Her family has always dreamed of seeing her married to a good man who would give her both financial and emotional stability, and they have done everything to get Tracy to start dating.

What nobody knows is, Tracy is gay and has hidden that important part of herself, so as not to hurt others, because she has always considered the feelings of her entire family, her friends, acquaintances and is aware that Society is not going to allow gays to run their lives like it is nothing.

She knows full well that Society is not ready to accept same-sex marriages and on the other hand, Tracy knows full well that Society will always be ready to point the finger at gays, making them feel they are unworthy of living freely and that they must be isolated from the world.

And it is for that reason that, Tracy and Connie live their romance in secret, for fear of being singled out and for fear of being humiliated.

They have been in love for six years and they have kept it hidden, always pretending something that they will never be and that is that they like men.

"How long should we hide that we're in love?" Connie asked as she watched Tracy get dressed.

"I do not know. I believe that until our families, friends, the Society is ready to accept us,” Tracy said, as she kissed Connie on the mouth.

"That will never happen because no one will be ready to accept us as we are," said Connie, getting up to dress.

"What are you going to do today?" Connie asked sadly.

“I have work to do and after that, I will be reunited with my family,” Tracy replied.

"When will you introduce me like you in love?" Connie asked.

"You know that won't be possible for now," Tracy said.

“You always tell me the same thing, Tracy. You know, there will come a time when you won't always find me available because I'm getting tired of seeing you sneakily,” Connie said.

"Please, Connie, don't push me," was all Tracy said.

“I've been listening to you for the same thing for four years. Just remember what I just told you,” Connie said.

Tracy and Connie said goodbye, and each went to their respective jobs. Tracy was happy at her work, not knowing the surprise that everyone had prepared for her and what she must sacrifice.

"Good morning everyone. Jasmine, are there any pending?” Tracy asked Jasmine, her assistant, her best friend, and her confidence.

"Good morning Tracy. There is no pending, except that your family is waiting for you in your office and with a man,” Jasmine replied.

"Thank you, Jasmine. Jasmine, please bring everyone a latte and a tray of cookies to the office,” Tracy said happily.

"Good day, family. To what do I owe the honor of your visit and who is he?” Tracy asked, intrigued by the man who is with her family.

"His name is Trevor, and he will be the man you will marry," his dad replied.

Tracy did not say anything, she just listened and carefully observed that man, whom her family wants to impose on her as her husband.

"He is a good man, and in time, you will love each other," his mother told him.

While her parents were telling her that, Tracy was only thinking about Connie and how much she loves her.

"He comes from an excellent family, and they are all conservatives," his grandmother told him.

"Cool! My own family wants to impose a loveless marriage on me, and they don't care what I feel or think about it,” she told herself.

"If you marry, our families will be united for life, and we will be happy forever," his grandfather told him.

Tracy could not believe that her own family is getting into her life. She is a thirty-year-old woman, she is independent and does not depend on her family at all.

"May I comment?" Tracy asked.

Tracy felt that she could not take it anymore and had to tell the truth, she had to "come out of the closet" and tell her family that she is gay and that she has a stable relationship with Connie.

"Sure, you do!" said her mom.

"Well, you can see that you're an excellent man, but I can't date you, or any other man, because I'm gay and I'm in a six-year relationship with Connie," Tracy finally said.

Her dad got up from the chair, walked over to Tracy, and slapped her so hard she knocked her to the ground.

“I'd rather have had thieving and murderous daughters a thousand times than gay daughters! I do not know you as my daughter, and from now on, you're dead to me!” her father told her after slapping his daughter again.

“You no longer have a family. From now on, you pretend you do not know us,” Grandma said.

"You are the shame for your family!", said the mother.

They all left Tracy's office, really upset, unable to control their anger.

Tracy called Connie, who came as quickly as possible and told her what had happened to her family.

Connie could not believe that Tracy's family could act that way.

"If your family doesn't love you and denies you, don't worry baby I'll always love you," Connie told her.

"I know, honey," Tracy told him as he kissed her on the mouth.

Before long, Tracy and Connie were married and lived immensely happily ever after.

As for Tracy's family, they could never forgive her.
