Chapter 21 - Goblin King

The goblin raised its sword and shouted with all its might. In response to that, the other goblins charged toward Zack. He couldn't help but furrow his eyebrows as he watched that…

"Did they lose their memory or something?" Zack thought.

Even if the goblin king could control them, doing that kind of thing was simply stupid… However, the goblins looked fiercer and angrier, so they probably received a power boost thanks to the goblin king.

Still, that didn't matter… Zack just kept disposing of them as usual as he stepped back. The creature kept chasing him like a mad dog, only to be killed like a dog as well. Eventually, the goblin king realized that they were useless and soon charged at Zack.

The goblin king charged like a tank but much faster than one. Its footsteps made the ground shake and quake, and the goblins who got in its way were knocked down to the sides with broken bones.

Eventually, the creature jumped to attack Zack with all its might, but he just jumped to the side and rolled on the ground when the enemy swung down his sword. The impact created a small crater on the ground and made the sound metal spread around. The beast was probably way over level fifty. It required a small group of people on the same level as Zack or at least someone several levels higher and better equipped as well.

The monster got up and then glared at Zack. At the same time, the goblins moved to surround them and prevent Zack from escaping. He couldn't help but shrug… those guys were funny, if anything.

"There is no point in wasting time against you guys. There are other beasts that I would rather fight for real," Zack said. "Besides, I want your sword."

As if the goblin understood his swords, the grunted smirked and then grunted something, but then all of a sudden, the creature felt a sharp pain on its arm. The pain increased, and he felt several attacks on it. Before the goblin king could realize what had happened, Zack had chopped its arm and taken the goblin king's sword.

Zack seized the opportunity to check the sword as the Goblin King screamed in agony. Gripping the hilt firmly, he felt a strange energy coursing through him as if the weapon itself pulsed with power.

Weirdly enough, as Zack held the sword, he felt a surge of power coursing through him, as if the weapon itself was empowering him. His muscles tensed with newfound strength, and his senses sharpened with a heightened awareness. It was as if the sword was amplifying his abilities, making him stronger, faster, and more capable than he had ever been before.

To Zack's amazement, he could feel his parameters increasing in response to the sword's influence. His strength surged, his dexterity heightened, and his endurance was improved. It was as if the sword was unlocking hidden potential within him, tapping into reserves of power that he never knew existed.

Zack swung the sword while Speed Hack was still active and beheaded the monster in a single moment. He had to hit the sword ten times in the same spot since the beast was that tough, but it looked like he did it with ease for the enemies.

Zack chuckled. He finally would have the chance to use proper magic. It is a pity that this skill will never level up. In any case, it was time to finish the job before the monsters woke up and decided to run away. Zack charged toward the enemies without wasting time and spun around like a top. While he moved in the middle of the enemies' ranks, he split them apart with ease, making bodies and blood rain down in the area.

Before long, the goblins finally decided to run away, but Zack was fine with that. He was getting dizzy, and his stamina was dropping insanely fast.
