"Finrod Finrod wake up. Wake up Finrod." A sweet voice whispered into his ears, it was distant and kind. Finrod swung his hand tiredly backwards in protest.
"Just some more Mother." He mumbled then turned over exposing his tired face and closed eyes.
"I'm not your mother. You should get up. It's morning, and I intend to join the others to search for Mother."
Still, there was no reply. The young elf remained lying on his back, strands of his long white hair swept across his face, and some had slipped in his lips.
'He's so cute.'
Elessar's right hand went up and she hit herself on the head.
'Mother is missing. I surely cannot be thinking of an elf in this period.'
Elessar suddenly grinned, an idea sparked in her head, a mischievous one. She swiftly lifted her right foot and sent it down below on Finrod's left stomping strongly on it.
"Ahh!" Finrod's eyes suddenly shot open, he quickly bent and grabbed his pained foot with his hands.
"Oou ouu ouu. That hurts." He said with a squeezed face looking into Elessar's eyes with his squinted in pain.
Elessar returned his look with a stoic expression, she then smiled.
"It's morning. The suns shine their dimmed lights."
"That was fast." He replied, still rubbing his pained foot. He stood up and then leaned on the wall next to him. He looked up above seeing multitudinous green vines and flowers in place of a roof. It was the same for the wall forward and partly behind.
Chief Neska had taken it upon himself to reinforce and temporarily replace the broken parts of the house until the village could afford to have so many of the huts rebuilt and with such convenient and versatile abilities bestowed upon the chief, such work wasn't needed until much later. Elessar's house was just one amongst the many he patched up or straight-up rebuilt with his plant magic.
There were a couple of advantages to this. The vines were a lot stronger than the walls, the flowers on them gave the hut a sweet smell which Finrod particularly loved and they were pretty, much prettier than brown walls of clay.

The information tab above Elessar made him realize once more that the world had changed, they had been sent out to slaughter and their goddess had fallen.
He sighed and crouched his head once he recalled all that had happened. The night's sleep was the best he had had since the start of the apocalypse and yet they had fought a Graimpuf with three heads that was just short on massacring the people of the village. Finrod couldn't dare think of what would have happened had the beast fought so more or had Neska been less resilient in the fight.
He took in a deep breath dismissing negative thoughts and then lazily threw up his hands with a yawn, he stretched.
His chest and torso of lean flesh were exposed, he had pulled off his shirt for a sleep at Elessar's place the night of the attack, the night before.
"I intend to continue the search of mother and I'm taking Pouka and Na'se with me. A little group of acquaintances have chosen to join me in the search and we hope to run into demons to kill as well and level up."
'You almost got killed by one yesterday, maybe just focus on finding your mother.'
Finrod smirked once the thought got to his head and he lightly shook his head realizing how hypocritical he was.
'This isn't the village anymore, sacrifices must be made and the truth is, I am just like her.'
"Well…?"
"Good luck. I hope to talk to Neska today, I want some of his knowledge on magic and want to restock my weapons."
Finrod's eyes widened as he was certain he had spotted a vein bulge out of Elessar's head momentarily but it was quick to disappear.
"Hmmm!" She turned away and went through the new door of vines and flowers.
She slammed it on her way out while Finrod sat confused about her sudden change in behaviour.
He turned in the opposite direction to the door she had just gone through and he spotted his sword in his sheath leaning on the wall just a meter away and by it was his bow.
Finrod released a sigh, 'My body still aches.'
Minutes after struggling against his unwilling body and perhaps mind, Finrod finally succeeded in getting up. He went for his shirt which he had laid on a bench. Next to it was the black stealthy outfit he had borrowed.
He grabbed the shirt and then took another glance at the dried clean outfit of black.
'Perhaps grandfather is still out there.'
A smirk crept on his face and then it grew to a loud chuckle.
'I have no recollection of how he looks. He probably had left before I was born, how will I recognize him even if I do meet him? But then he's an elf. Our lineages are easy to trace.'
'No No No No! It doesn't matter. All that matters now is to grow stronger and survive. The likelihood of other elves outside the woods can wait.'
He donned the thick brown shirt, equipped his sword and went through the door. The radiance of the suns fell on his skin and he felt his energy leap in bounds. He squinted his eyes and raised his head peering into the skies above scouting the suns. He slowly turned to the west and spotted the circle of black with a golden ring of light like fire around it.
He then turned to the east and spotted the sun hanging up above and dimmed as well.
'Our once glorious suns, now swallowed by the dark.'
He began treading forward. He spotted kids, elderly people and some young Funari as well. Their energies had reduced greatly, the stress and fear the new world exhibited had begun scarring them, it was terrible. Finrod tried as best as he could to avoid eye contact.
He then spotted a tall quite hairy lady Funari of brown skin in just the typical outfit of a brown short skirt and brown bindings on her breasts which didn't do a good job of covering all of her bosoms.
Finrod's eyes drifted to her chest, they were the largest he had ever seen. He suddenly snapped out of it and took his eyes off them to look into her pretty face.
