244 Volume 4 of the Novel (Part-1)

Roy put aside his weapons, looking away from Tevenlor and turning to his ancestor, who was sitting just behind the egg, his body blurring like glitches in a tv.

Roy saw Yulran's fleshy draconian body becoming transparent in seconds, looking like it would disappear any second now.

The rush of adrenaline that he started experiencing while fighting with Tevenlor disappeared at this view, and he gazed at Yulran with concern.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Haven't I told you already? I don't have long to live. My lifespan is close to burning out."

At his words, Roy's sighed, specks of sadness creeping out of his eyes and pang of pains stabbing him in the eyes.

His long eyelashes trembled like a kid who was about to cry.

Tears pooled in them.
