1 Chapter 1

— Nothingness —

{There was nothing.}

"The fuck?!"

{Then there was God}

— God —

A sudden blast of knowledge entered my mind. The beginning, the end, and everything in between. The knowledge of all things flowed into my mind. Visions of the future, of a self that was not myself, and of a self that was to be myself, and of what was to come, anything, and everything.

"I am who I am."

"..."

Well, now I understand why the Dragon God thing, in that story I didn't fully read, gave up all his power for some company because this is super dull! Knowing everything and being unable to make use of it.

It was a special kind of hell…well now I know what all of the sinner's eternal punishment will be…

"..."

"Yeah nah fuck this."

{Then there was the beginning, and in the beginning was God.}

The universe burst into existence. Space, time, matter, what once wasn't now was.

A fine job if I do say so myself…and I do.

The creation of the universe took a piece of me, and my boundless knowledge downgraded to an incredible amount. I knew not everything anymore, but I knew a great many things.

I floated in the emptiness of space for a few moments, a proud smile on my shining face.

Then the pride in my creation wore off and once again I wanted more.

So I snapped my fingers.

{In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth.}

That's better.

I looked at both of my new creations, my eyes shining like gems as I smiled towards Heaven. I'd start with that one.

So I did.

I entered my new Kingdom, waving my hands around, and things formed to my whims. The Seven Heavens came to be, and I leisurely walked as I made my way to my throne room atop the highest realm.

I created a throne and took a seat. I looked at my creations thus far and nodded. It was good.

…But I was still lonely.

Well, if I'm adopting this role, I might as well go full swing.

My fingers snapped and a handsome white-haired man with glowing blue eyes came into existence.

"Hello, my beloved child, Helel. I am God, it's a great pleasure to meet you."

"Father." Helel looked around, his confusion was all too apparent. "I'm glad to be in your presence." He looked back at me. I'd be lying if I said his warm smile didn't send tingles through my heart. My son, my first.

"We have much to do, but first, I shall create your siblings."

"Yes, Father."

With another wave of my hand, another man, this time the man had blonde hair and green eyes.

"Hello, my beloved second child, Michael. I am God, it's a great pleasure to meet you."

Michael blinked a few times, his eyes taking in my form for a few moments before he looked at his older brother. Then he looked back at me and smiled. "Father, it's an honor."

"The honor is mine." It really was. I was so unbelievably bored before this, now I had people to talk to!

My job wasn't done yet. I still had several more children to create. One final wave of my hand for the day and a blonde-haired girl with green eyes came to be.

"Hello, my beloved first daughter, Gabriel. I am God, it's a true pleasure to meet you."

Unlike my first two children, Gabriel wasn't overwhelmed by the feeling of acquired consciousness. She dove into me, hugging my towering form.

"The pleasure is mine, Father!" Her voice was muffled by my crystal white clothing, but I heard her all the same, and it brought a smile to my face.

"I'm glad you feel that way." I smiled wider, rubbing a hand through her long silky hair.

I let her bask in my presence before gently pushing her away. I had six days to work, and after that, I could get to know my children more.

"Then let us continue."

I looked at my children and smiled as I gave a curt nod. I did good work.

Helel, Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael. My five Archangels. My eyes trailed beyond them, to the six others standing behind them. Remiel, Sariel, Azazel, Raguel, Azrael, Baraqiel.

All of them were dressed in crystal white robes. My first five Archangels each sporting twelve mighty white wings that showed the level of power they possessed, while my other six had ten.

It was enough…for now. I had more work to do if I wanted to ensure everything would go as it was supposed to.

"My children, I wish to step outside, to head down to my creation outside of Heaven and shape it to my will."

""Yes, Father."" They all said in unison.

…Well almost all.

"Father. I don't understand, don't you wish to expand your kingdom?" My first son, Helel asked.

"My kingdom exists as much within Heaven as it does on Earth, Helel." I smiled, opening a portal to Earth and stepping through without another word.

I looked upon the Earth if you could call it that. It wasn't anything much yet, just a space of darkness, and that wasn't going to cut it.

"Let There Be Light!"

{And God said "Let there be light," and there was light.}

The light shone upon the Earth, encompassing it fully.

Yessir! Them lights are bright!

{God saw that the light was good.}

Eh, might be a bit too bright though. The whole Earth is full of light. I reached out to the light, grabbed a hold of it with my energy, and compressed it into a massive ball of fire. I sent the ball away and nodded proud of myself. Earth, meet Sun. Now it won't be daytime all the time, we can have some nighttime fun as well.

{God separated the light from the darkness, he called the light, day, and the darkness he called night.}

I took a deep breath. I got a lot done today, and even as I felt my knowledge of the perfect future drift, I knew I did well. I deserve a break.

{And there was evening, and there was morning, the first day.}

I returned to Heaven. I was greeted by my children immediately. I gave them a warm smile, making sure to acknowledge each of them.

"Our home is a little quiet, isn't it? Why don't we liven up the place?"

Their smiles told me exactly how they felt about my idea and I got to work. One by one, child by child, Heaven filled with angels to call it home.

— The Second Day —

I stepped out of Heaven for the second time. This time my first eleven children had the company of their many many brothers and sisters. They wouldn't be missing me as much anymore, that was good.

If they did, my light would guide them. That I was certain of.

My memories of a life that was once mine filled my brain with the fate of this world. An idiot with a love for breasts would grow to levels of power beyond most being's comprehension, and I would die. Yet those memories clashed with the images of a life that will be mine who had lived through everything I am destined to live through.

There were plenty of similarities and some differences between the two, but the latter was fading. In time I would forget everything that my future self sent me. I didn't try and fight it, because my nigh omniscience told me that fighting it would do more wrong than good. So I let it happen. The world would be better off this way.

Speaking of the world…

"It's time to set the stage."

The world was still pretty blank. Half of it was consumed by light, and half of it by darkness. It was time to change that.

I held out my hand and separated the spaces of the world into two. Both halves are blue but made of different matter. Water, and the sky.

{God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault "sky."}

Creating things is very tiring, and each time I do, I feel a bit of my power slip, though I know it will replenish. It doesn't compare to the full loss I felt when I created the entire Universe.

Ah, I can't wait for a bunch of man-made gods spawned by human belief, dare to claim that they are the ones who created existence.

Damn, bastards.

— The Third Day —

Another day, another grind. I rubbed my hands together in preparation. Today was the day when Earth would get…earth.

Let's do this!

I reached towards the waters below and gathered them. I created a vast amount of earth to rise above it and exist below. I smiled at the sight of dry land separated from the sea.

{God called the dry ground "land," and the gathered waters he called "seas." }

It was time to add some variety to the land of this Earth and grow some pretty cool things. So I focused my energy and buried it into the Earth. Various plants and trees slowly grew out of the ground.

{The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.}

The creation of the world was good, that much I could admit. In time it would be full like how I remember.

— The Sixth Day —

Just like that, three days of work passed. I spent my off time with my children in Heaven, in peace.

"Draw Four, Helly!"

"How do you have so many of those, Azazel?!"

"I'm God's perfect creation, what was it he said? Get good, scrub!"

Yes, perfectly peaceful.

On the fourth day, I created the moon. I refined the sun I had created a bit so that the light didn't merely illuminate half the earth, and instead progressively dimmed as the Earth spun on its axis.

On the fifth day, I created the animals of the Earth and ordered them to grow and reproduce. Thus was the circle of life, and it had to start somewhere.

Today, it was time to create what I once was, a human. What a wondrous day it was, and I intended to have fun with them, even if I knew it wouldn't last forever.

A shame that was.

"Let's do this." I poured my energy into the dust and the body of a man formed. I added color to his features and his blonde hair and blue eyes became visible. Next was the woman. I did the same, shaping her form with womanly curves, and adding color. Deep black hair and hazel eyes stared back at me with some haziness.

{So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.}

Both were naked, and I took a moment to admire the woman's curves and her bare breasts. I nodded to myself. I do good work.

I clapped my hands, wiping the haziness from their eyes as they looked at me with more clarity. "You are the first humans, Adam, Lilith. Be fruitful and multiply, expand your race, and hold dominion over all on Earth for all time." I waved my hand through the air and a lush garden with golden gates bearing every single plant on the planet sprung into view. I took a moment to admire my work.

I do damn good work.

{God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.}
