Waking in Danger

Chapter 68

The two were like on a rehearsed play.

Watching them together, the one keeps on attacking while the other keeps on evading.

Yyan was the latter one.

Yin is getting frustrated that he cannot land a hit on Yyan. He knew the man was looking down on him.

It had always been like this. Ever since they were teens, he was always on the losing side.

Yyan eventually got bored so grabbed Yin's arm that is extended towards him and easily threw him to the ground. The force he exerted is nothing to laugh at. Yue could somehow feel the room quaking.

Gone was the dignified Crown Prince, he just looked miserable.

Yue wanted to check if the man was still breathing but Yyan pulled her away. She looked at him questioningly.

"Don't touch it, it's dirty" Yyan held her hand and keep her close.

"Ohh" Yue nodded and move further from Yin.

Yin saw the whole interaction and almost vomited blood.

"Ruyi, fix the Crown Prince and send him home"

"Yes Young Master"

"Excuse me your highness" Ruyi personally helped the Crown Prince up but got swatted away.

"I can handle myself" Yin forcibly dragged his body away from the shameless siblings.

Ruyi just followed afterward.

"I didn't get my answer" Yue sighed after Yin went out.

"Well, it's not totally a lost cause. Since you already got him interested in it, that man will surely get his hands on the information regarding the pendant. I'm just afraid that he will start bugging you about the things you know of" Yyan was already regretting letting Yue talk to the man. Not only did he gain a rival, but a sticky one to boot.

"Won't he get deterred by our attitude towards him?" Yue can't imagine someone that is bullied to actively approach the bully.

"His obsession with artifacts can be overboard" Yyan remembered how the man can be a pain in the ass.

"But will we really not get in trouble for detaining the Crown Prince?" Yue was still worrying about the consequence of their action. Even if she tried to gain every bit of knowledge, but without actually facing the crown, she still can't gauge their power.

"Trust me okay?" Yyan patted her head smoothing out her unneeded worries.

"Okay" she nodded meekly.

Yue wouldn't just let things slide. The Crown Prince might be able to provide her with answers later on but she wanted to expedite the process.

The fastest way is to visit the Old Master. Since the pendant had been with her ever since she was a baby, it could be a family heirloom. If her vision was correct, then the person who can most likely give her the answer is him.

But, is she ready to reveal the truth? The Old Master is a sharp one, it's impossible to hide the details of how she came to know about the pendant.

It seems she had to take chance with the orphanage first.

Yyan let Yue ponder on her matters and was just keeping up beside her to make sure she won't stumble or bump her head while walking when all of a sudden she fell limply.

Yyan was just in time to catch her.

He felt her pulse but it was very weak.

He didn't know what happened but he immediately let his people arrange for transport and called Cajun to be ready the moment they arrived at the hospital.

Ruyi was escorting the Crown Prince out when someone approached him and whispered something.

Yin saw the worried and panicked look on Ruyi.

Then Yin suddenly thought of the lady who was indifferent to his charm.

Instead of leaving, Yin followed Ruyi who already forgot his presence.

Ruyi didn't enter the base but went to the clearing.

In the midst was a helipad.

A man with a frozen face was carefully lifting the lady in his arms, not letting anyone help him.

But in Yin's perspective, the scenario was rather that the man wouldn't let anyone touch the lady, and that behind his cold demeanor was the perturbed emotions.

Although he already knew and witnessed how the man cared for his sister, he was still surprised time and time again.

When he first found out that the man got a weakness and it was a woman, he felt disappointed and filled with disdain. The reason he very much would want to humiliate the lady was also due to this. But who would've known that she would get to be someone worthy of his attention?

Yin wanted to know what happened to Yue, but as he was about to approach them as if growing an eye at the back of his head, Yyan looked back and gave him a cold stare.

Yin stopped in his tracks and stayed still until the helicopter fade away from his sight.

In the Royal Hospital, the Founding Families have their own personal room.

It's almost impossible to see one of their members loitering around the building for regular wards.

At this moment though, a certain noble lady was looking around the area.

She dressed simply which was far from her usual style with the intent of being inconspicuous, only, wearing a mask, cap, and shades made her more noticeable and people can't help but glance the second time and whisper.

But this little commotion was left unnoticed since the lady was focused on searching for a certain room.

When she finally saw what she's has been looking for, she carefully entered the unguarded room.

The room's arrangement was no different from other wards but if one would look carefully, they would see that the furniture is of high quality.

The pleasant light of the sun passed through the windows gently warming up the lady lying still in the hospital bed.

Her original intention was just to confirm the existence of the lady, but now that she got to see her, uncontrollable hatred seeped from her eyes.

Her hands automatically reached out for the lady's neck.

A little more and she would be able to cut off her life.

But the trembling of her hands won't stop.

Just as she was battling with herself, the lady who was supposed to be unconscious carefully opened her eyes.

The lady was disoriented for a while but when she saw that her life was in danger, a rush of adrenaline let her supposed weakened arms fling the terrifying hands away.
