"You better stop what you're doing, you'll only hurt Yue" there's no disdain in his voice, nor was he surprised by what he had witnessed. Yin threw the pendant to Yyan.

Yyan easily caught the pendant. Despite not being able to rest and eat properly for the past few days, his reflex is still on point especially for matters regarding Yue.

Seeing that familiar face, the first thing that Yue did is to hug Yyan. Then she felt dizzy due to her sudden movements but Yyan supported her back.

"I'm sorry for worrying you once again brother" those were Yue's sincere words. Besides the fear for her life, she also felt afraid of leaving Yyan without saying anything.

"Doesn't matter since you're back" Yyan wanted to hold Yue tightly in his arms but was also afraid to crush her.

"How long have I been out?" Yue felt awkward after a while and released herself from Yyan. She started throwing question to cover up her unease.

"Four days"

"Ehh, that long. Hmm, this?" Yue noticed that she has been holding onto something. When she saw it was the pendant that she owned, no, she finally noticed the difference. The one in her hand is the pendant that the Crown Prince owned, she was suddenly filled with dread.

Yyan saw how Yue's beautiful countenance fell once she saw the pendant.

"I took your sister's body. She's already gone. I can't apologize for her life but I apologize for not revealing the truth earlier. I'll leave the judgment to you" There's no need to explain how the whole thing happened since he used the pendant to wake her up.

Just listening to Yue, he knew she was determined to accept her fate, but her eyes betrayed her true emotions just for a short window of time.

There's a deafening silence.

Yue could hear her heart pounding so loudly but she stared at Yyan's eyes without faltering.

Yyan raised his hand and flicked her forehead.

"Stupid" Yyan looks like he was angry but in his voice was endearing.

"Huh?" this was not the response she was expecting.

"Did you really think I didn't notice?"

"You knew all along?" Yue stared at him unbelievably. No, it would be more incredulous if Yyan didn't notice.

"Am I that useless in your eyes that you cannot trust me?" Yyan acted stern.

"No, how could that be!" the issue lies in her and not him.

"Then why are you making that face as if I'm going to punish you?"

"But I took your sister's body! How could you not be angry in the least?" her temperament rose up uncontrollably.

"I surmise that you already know the real status of my relationship with my sister. It's not that I don't want to seek justice for her, but I believe that it's with her permission that you managed to live in her body. My sister she, she's already like a living doll. Lifeless, hopeless, with you here in her stead and fulfilling the things that she originally dreamed of, how else would I be angry with you? Instead, I should be thanking you for continuing her life" True enough; there was no trace of any accusation in his words.

"You certainly have a way to make things simpler than it seems" Yue shook her head was embarrassed by her overreaction. And this man really, how could he still spoil her in this kind of situation.

"There's no reason to make things difficult" Yyan said as a matter of fact.

"Thank you"…"By the way, how should we address our situation?" Yue was kind of loss how to proceed. In fact, she was still legitimately his sister, but somehow she knew that something had already gone different.

It was just for a few seconds that she was lost in thought but when she turned her attention back to Yyan, she noticed that he already fell asleep leaning on the side table while his hand supported his head.

Yue got the chance to stare at Yyan.

Stubbles were camping on his face. His eye bags are deep and slightly dark. His hair, crumpled. Just like the last time she had an accident.

Yue was filled with guilt, but it's not like she have a choice this time.

Yue always thought she was an apathetic person.

She finds it hard to invest in feelings.

But in the end, there was no return. She just got tired.

So this man, make her so confused.

How can he be so gentle, caring, and trustful despite knowing that she was just a stranger?
