8 Offer

Yue was waiting for Linn in the lobby.

Linn was one who asked for her to work in Alcane.

Fashion has nothing to do with the way the two of them met.

One of Yue's regret was that she wasn't able to eat a lot of different kinds of food in her last life, so she developed an interest on exploring food streets and restaurants during her stay in Country F.

Then one time, she was grabbing the last piece of dessert in a shop when someone tried to snatch it away.

Yue was about to put on a fierce face when she saw a shy looking sweet face.

"Aiya, my bad, my bad. Say sister, I've been really craving for this dessert and it's only now that I managed to get a hand on one. In the next couple of days, I'll be back in my country and won't be able to eat it in a long time. Don't be angry and give this one to me? Please?" Linn blinked her big pitiful eyes.

For someone sweet looking, the woman was surprisingly shameless, Yue thought.

"How about I treat you to lunch? I discovered a small restaurant yesterday near the seaside. It's quite hidden, but the food is really really really good" Linn offered when saw that Yue was not responding.

Yue knew the place that the woman was talking about and she was surprised.

That place, although small, was somewhere common folks cannot frequent. This woman obviously has money and she's not stingy. Yue's impression of her improved.

"Alright" Yue gave an affirmation but kept her cold demeanor.

Linn didn't mind her attitude.

Linn paid for the dessert then offered her car as their means of transportation.

Yue climbed to the passenger seat comfortably but stayed guarded.

Sure enough, they ended in that small restaurant that she had in mind.

Linn saw that Yue was not awkward.

The girl didn't even take the menu and stated her order.

Linn helplessly laughed inside. She didn't expect that grabbing a dessert from other people will cost her a month of salary. The girl sure knows the priciest food on the menu and didn't hold back.

But Linn was good with this kind of attitude, she didn't like hypocrites.

"By the way, I'm Linn Shei" Linn only remembered to introduce herself now.

"Yue Crest" Yue simply said.

"I knew it, we're from the same country" Linn was so happy with her discovery.

The surname Crest was exclusive in Country C. But she didn't associate Yue with the noble Crest family since they're not people you can just bump in dessert shops since they have an exclusive pastry chef. Just that, she wouldn't find out until later that such a thing is possible.

Linn was thrown by her company in Country F to get talent from the Fashion Academy to be an assistant to Null.

For the past days, she reviewed designs of students and sent those that she thought brilliant to Null, but he rejected all of them, and worse is he won't accept designers from other schools.

Linn was so frustrated but she didn't even have a friend to talk to.

Linn decided to comfort herself by eating and ended up with Yue.

"Hmm, same country. Vacation?" Yue threw in a casual question.

She felt good vibes around Linn and her instinct is telling her that it would not be bad to be friends with this person.

"Ohh no, don't get me started" Linn suddenly frowned. Then continued,

"You see I kind of offended my boss and he threw me here in Country F to do a task for an eccentric person"

Linn talked for a while and poured out all her grievances for the past few days to Yue.

Yue learned that Linn was looking for an assistant to Null.

When Yue heard that, her eyes sparkled unknowingly which didn't escape Linn's sight.

"Yue is familiar with Null?" Even if Null was known, it was limited in the fashion industry so she didn't expect that Yue knew him.

"Yeah, I may not seem so, but I'm actually a student of Fashion Academy. Many people may not know but Null attended the Fashion Academy but for some reason, he didn't finish his study, but later on he made his name and then fade away in the scene" admiration was apparent in Yue's face.

"Is that true? No wonder that weirdo insisted on getting an assistant from F.A., wait, you said you're also a student of FA, would you be interested in being his assistant? But of course, I still need to send samples of your design to Null to see if he'll approve" Linn was surprised. Not to belittle Yue, but she didn't look like the usual student from FA.

Most of them wore the latest seasons' designs with their painted faces but Yue looks like a youthful regular college student.

"I like things simple and comfortable" Yue mentioned as if knowing what she's thinking.

"Well, you can also be considered eccentric amidst those groups of people. So what do you say?" Linn stirred the topic back.
