72 No Doubt

Yue massaged her slightly painful neck and searched for the button to call the nurse.

But just before she managed to tap the button, footsteps were heard coming from outside the door.

Ashaina was struck frozen. Still processing what happened.

Only when Ashaina heard the opening of the door did she realize how bad her situation is.

Yue wasn't able to see who entered the door because she fell faint once again.

Diana saw the act of Yue reaching for the emergency button then fainting.

Her eyes widen and the whole room was thrown into chaos.

"Three days, it has been three days and she's still sleeping" Yyan hadn't slept a wink ever since Yue fell unconscious. It was already beyond human logic how he managed to stay alive at this point.

Yyan never moved away nor let go of Yue's hands.

How could he bear to do so? He almost lost her once.

If only he could channel his own life.

Cajun could not utter a word at this point.

Even he was left baffled by Yue's case.

He had tried squeezing out all the knowledge he amassed all these years and consulted his professors and acquaintances but none of them ever encountered such peculiarity.

Ruyi didn't even try to convince Yyan out of his predicament as he knew it would be useless.

His master's attitude towards the Young Miss, he would be blind if he still didn't see by now. He could only man the helm while his young master cares for his sister and let not other problems trouble him.

Another night passed by and the fourth day came.

As if living in their own world, Yyan was too engrossed in looking out for Yue that he didn't hear the commotion outside until it reached the room.

The door was forcefully opened and a man in a grey suit, full of vigor came in.

No one managed to stop his entrance.

Ruyi was not present at the moment.

Still, even if Yyan heard him entered, his eyes didn't leave Yue.

"You're so pathetic" mockery was the first thing that came out of the man's mouth, but his words fell useless. But the man didn't care and kept on harping.

"Even if you stare at her all day she won't wake up. All you are doing is killing yourself. Well. You might as well die, that way no one would block my path and I can get Yue for myself" as soon as the man finished his statement. A heavy pressure fell upon the room.

"There's no use in scaring me. At the end of the day, you're just a useless brother who can't even save his beloved sister" Yin smirked at the miserable display of his rival.

"Tell me, how to wake her up" Yyan didn't care, but he knew that since Yin came here to gloat, he must have some information on hand.

"Offer your life and I'll tell you" Yin nonchalantly stated his condition. It was also another way to gauge how far Yyan will go in order to save his sister.

"Alright, tell me" Yyan's immediate answer was beyond Yin's expectations. No one amongst the people present in the room doubted the credibility of such a seemingly thoughtless answer.

"Yyan!" "Young Master!" Cajun and Ruyi, who just came in time to hear the conversation, was horrified.

Yin frowned, obviously disappointed.

"Tsk, you're really boring" he might be despicable but he has his pride. He knew that simply killing this man who had momentarily lost his will to live will not allow the knot on his mind to loosen. Instead, it would haunt him for eternity. He will never let that happen.

"Get straight to the point" Despite his lack of expression, a hint of impatience can be hinted from his voice.

"Hmp!"

Yyan was really effective in destroying Yin's composure.

"The pendant that Yue was asking about has something to do with the ancient civilization that specializes in spiritual ceremonies. I didn't make the connection at first, but because of this incident I remembered the passage that was associated with the pendant I owned, "One is one but one is two". I wasn't aware that the pendant has a pair. In regards as to why Yue is still unconscious, the only plausible reason I can think of is..."

"...Yue is in another body" Yyan stared blankly. Something flashed through his mind.

"According to other literature that I've read, if a person experienced an exchange of body for the first time they'll be able to go back and wake up immediately. But if the phenomena happen again, it would take longer before one can return. It may come to a point that one will not be able to return at all"

"In line with this thought, there's actually nothing that we can do but to wait. Given the time Yue had been unconscious, I say, was this not the first time this has happened?"

Yyan didn't give an answer. His Yue had been exposed to several incidents that this kind of peculiarity is not easy to detect, and if she had experienced this before, she had not told him at all. But he could guess when it all started.

"Oh, it seems that the two of you are not as close as I thought you are. Your sister doesn't trust you enough to disclose such an important thing" Yin didn't forget to pierce Yyan where it hurts but the latter didn't show any reaction on his face. But inside, Yyan is already going through several bouts of emotional turmoil.

"Thank you Your Highness for the information you have provided. If you may please excuse yourself, pardon me but I won't be able to escort you through the door" Yyan dismissed the Crown Prince.

"You-" seeing he was no longer needed, Yin scoffed and left. Anyway, he was just here to settle his debt to the lady.

Knowing the possible scenario gave a little comfort to Yyan.

"The two of you can leave as well" Yyan quietly whispered but left no room for dispute.

Ruyi gave a little bow.

Cajun was reluctant to leave but was pulled away by Ruyi.

There's no one else but the two of them.

Yyan lifted up the fragile hand he has been holding and placed it on his lips.

"Oh by the w-" Yin suddenly barged once again just in time to see such scene.
