2 Chapter Two: Long Lost Friend

"I hate the cold" I shiver with anger. I've never been one to enjoy winter. The ice winds, the snow, the temperate; the whole thing is irritating.

I began to wrap the dark grey scarf around my neck when I stumbled over an old worn out leather jacket of someone's. I pick up the jacket and myself. While dusting it off I look around to see who left ot there. I search for a minute when my eyes come across the sight of familair wispy black head of hair.

I about passed this person up when a memory popped into my head.

"Hurry up Hunter your too slow" Cass my childhood friend teased with a smile. She turned back around and came to stop.

"Dang it, i cant see". Her hair once again got caught up in her eyes. She pulled a ponytail from her wrist and tied her hair into a bun. She turned back to me and gave me her sweet grin.

All at once I Iooked back at the mysterious person and realized it was Cass, standing off the edge of the bridge.

My face went white, eyes filled with fear. And I yelled out, "don't do it Cass".

She glanced back me, but then turned back around. I dashed toward here and reached out. I grabbed her and pulled her back.

In shock she began to sob. She clenched my arms for dear life as her tears feel onto my wool sweater. She begged for me not to let her go. I promised.

We stood there like this for what felt like an eternity. Soon Cass rubbed her eyes and turned her head toward me. She didn't say anything, but rather just stared. I look down and my hand were around her waist. I look back up and ask,

"Are you ready". She nodded. I took her by the hands and jumped back over the guard rail.

She stepped away from me.

"How do you know me" she questions.

"You dont remember, I'm hunter".

The color escapes her face, she put her head in her hand.

"I'm so sorry, I never wanted you of all people to see this". She began to cry once more. I wrap my arms around her.

Soon Cass pulled away and grabbed her shoes, I handed her coat. She picked up her note and crumpled it up and tossed into the ocean. She turned and began to walk away.

"Wait" I hollared. I take out some paper and write my number on it. Then I put 10 bucks, and my number in her hand.

"I can't take your money". She tried to give it back.

"It's for a bus ride home, and call me if you need me. I'll always anwser".

She nodded. And I walked away. I could tell she was still looking at me but I kept going.

I hope she calls.
