Zoeybaby!

May closed the Director's office and went back to her station. She slams her body to her chair and then releases a loud sigh at all of her staff can hear.

One staff approach her and ask what is the matter or if there is a problem arose.

"Nothing to worry about I was just relief that it isn't my end her," May explained to her staff.

Everyone in her department knew how their manager fears the Director. Director Fuentes isn't that old to fear, but his personality depicts as if he already builds a house using his bare hands.

As if one wrong word you uttered and your whole career in ASC will destroy.

"Manager Liao cheer up! At least you had the chance to see our cute director a while ago." It wasn't a secret in ASC that all the lady employees have a big crush on their boss.

"If you want, you can be my representative whenever he summons me to his office. I'm gladly transferring my minutes to you."

The staff smiled at her manager then returned to her station. Of course, everyone fears meeting him. Was their affection to the director very complicated??

Nickel is busy preparing his confirmation email to the Orb when Zoey's office landline phone rings. At first, he didn't pay attention to it. Maybe one of her staff forgot that their Department Officer is sick and on leave. But the phone call continues which irritates him.

He stood up and looked at the glass wall to see who among this idiots keep on call Zoey's line. When Nickel saw that no one holds or using their line, he walks straight to Zoey's desk and answers her call.

But before he says his greetings the caller burst him with his news.

Caller: Zoeybaby! Why aren't you answering my messages? Anyway, in case you didn't receive it, I will tell it to you again. Did you know that you will be seeing me every day and anytime? I was transferred and relocated to your company tomorrow. Yes, I know. God answered your prayers. He heard you praying to see me every day and now it is happening. You don't need to sneak out to see me. You can have me anytime you want.

'The fuck is he saying?' Nickel said to himself. He didn't even introduce himself. Nevertheless, with this kind of arrogance, narcism, and confidence he already knew that this caller is Michael Cortez.

'Zoeybaby?' Nickel wanted to strangle him after he said Zoey and baby in one word. It isn't bad to kill someone he probably did it a long time ago.

Caller: Hello Zoey? Baby? Are you still there?

Nickel cannot hold himself anymore. He wanted to let him talk all day long and pretend that he is listening. He wanted to waste his time thinking that Zoey listens to him, but he cannot take it when keeps on calling his baby.

"You're done? Stop calling my girlfriend's line. Know your limit dude. And by the way, you wouldn't be seeing Zoey anytime you want. Your direct line is with the Human Resource Department. Tell them your concern, and they will pass it to me or to Zoey."

"WHAT??" Michael, on the other line, wanted to strangle him too. He literally forgot that he was working with her and if her boyfriend is around he will never execute his plans to get her back.

"Oh! Before I forgot your station was on the manufacturing floor. See you tomorrow Mr. Cortez." Fuentes hangs up the phone with a smirk on his beautiful face. It was actually good to outwit this cockroach. Did he really think he can fly and touch his bae whenever he wants? Dream on Mr. Cortez.

"Nickeeeeeeeeel" Michael was shouting the ASC Director's name. Why is he answering Zoey's calls? Why? Why? Why?? Isn't he respecting Zoey's privacy? Why?? Why?

He keeps on yelling and punching his desk when his secretary knocks on his door.

"WHAT????" He angrily asks.

"Sir what's the matter?"

"And what do you care?? Close the door and leave me alone! You don't need to mingle to my life affairs. Go! GO!" It is the first time that he shouts to his subordinates.

Even the employees outside his office could hear him.

Lira returned to her desk embarrassed and ashamed of asking her boss. Other thought that she was feeling close to their boss and thought that he would open up to him by asking what's wrong.

She wanted to open the ground and let the ground swallow her whole.

Hi! It's me again. I would like to thank everyone who is still reading my story. Hahahahaha! I went to a short hiatus because I broke my laptop and it is hard for me to type and use my phone to update LHLYF (but I still used my phone to publish this chapter). Aside from my laptop problem, I'm busy with my daytime job as an accountant. Hahahaha! Maybe Zoey and I shared the same stress from work. I really wanted to update my story but my daytime job drains my brain juice.

Actually, I am overwhelmed with the comments I received from my hiatus break. I felt sorry for those who check LHLYF every day to see if there is a new chapter. First of all, I'm sorry.

My favorite writer once said that if your readers looking for you during your break it means that your story is worth reading for. And today I can say that it is worth reading from all the comments I received.
