Chapter 30

I was so angry that the drive home was full of tension. I dropped Jennie at her place before heading towards my own home. I greeted Ana and walked pass her into my room which was so unusual of me. She started calling my name from behind but didn't respond to her call so she followed me inside.

"What's wrong darling?", she asked in a concerned tone when she got to my room and placed her hand in my palm. I wasn't in the mood to talk so I just continued to ignore her.

"Why ain't you saying anything baby, what happened in school?", she continued. Ever since I stepped foot in Winchester High, I never came back home in a fury even when the guys annoyed me because I didn't want her to get worried. But this was just too much for me to contain.

"Ana can you please leave me, I want to be alone", I requested of her while knowing she wouldn't want to leave me alone.

"But why don't you…"

"Please Ana, let's talk when supper is ready ", I cut her off before she could finish whatever she wanted to say. "I'm really frustrated at the moment ", I added and she just nodded.

I threw myself on the bed immediately she went out. I just couldn't think too far because whenever I tried,I was left with a headache. After sometime of lying on the bed I decided to take my bath thinking it could help me calm down . A call came through as I got myself ready for the bath and it was an unknown number so I hesitantly picked it up. I usually wait for the caller to speak first before I do if the number is unknown to me. After a while of waiting for the caller to speak, the person cleared his throat.

"Hello ", he said. It was a male. How can a guy get my number while I never gave it out.

"Yeah", I simply replied

"Am I speaking to Aislin?", the voice said which made me a little nervous.

"Who are you please?", I replied his question with a question trying to skip it.

"I'm Keenan Russell ", he introduced himself. I was shocked how he got my number to call me.' Oh right, he's the president of the school so he definitely has everyones number', I convinced myself with that.

'But why is he calling me while I'm this angry?', I questioned my thoughts

"Hello, are you there ", he interrupted my thoughts

"Yeah ..yea I can hear you"

"So can you answer me now, are you Aislin Hart?"

'Why does he ask if he already knows?, such an annoying fellow', I was too occupied discussing everything with my thoughts

"Yes, I'm the one", I just answered.

"Well , Mr Gupta asked me to talk to you about how we are going to run our group to ensure effective studies ", he simply said but sounded as if he had no interest in it.

"Was that the reason why you called?", it just slipped out of my mouth without me realizing what I had said.

"Pardon?", he seemed not to have heard it clearly.

"I mean let's talk about it in school tomorrow ", I said trying not to be silly.

"Sure", he said and without giving a notice he hanged up.

"Tssss ,such a cold fellow", I murmured and walked lazily to the bathroom to feel relaxed.

I walked downstairs after taking my bath to have supper but I knew I'd have to face Ana who was sitting in the hall deep in thoughts. She walked to me when she saw me descending the stairs with worry written all o we her face and I knew I would be questioned no matter what.

"What was that about earlier?", she threw the first question at me when I sat down.

"Nothing so serious, it has been solved", I said trying to lie to her but she already saw through me.

"Don't lie to me Ash, tell me what's going on"

"Fine, I've been out in the same study group with guys, that's what's making me angry"

"And?", she wanted to hear the rest of the story but there's nothing to add.

"And nothing, that's all"

"That's all?", she looked at me with that kind of 'are you serious look'. "It's normal for you to be in a group to help you with your studies, you nearly gave me a heart attack with that mood of yours", he said and walked to the kitchen without waiting for any reply from me
