1 The Hungry Baby

"Tae-Tae, Jeni is hungry," Jeni said with her head buried in Taehyung's neck. Only her small black curly hair could be seen.

"You just ate not too long ago, wait until we get home," Taehyung said exasperatedly. He softly shook his head and adjusted Jeni's position on him.

Jeni pouted, "But that was soo long ago Tae-Tae, Jeni was probably a baby the last time she ate." Jeni whined, insistent on getting something to eat now. Taehyung knowing how stubborn Jeni could be, did not try to correct her logic and continued walking on the overly crowded sidewalk of New York city with Jeni in his arms.

Noticing Taehying's lack of response, Jeni lifted her small head that was resting in the crook of his neck. "Tae-Tae, did you hear what Jeni said?" Jeni arched her small eyebrows trying to look intimidating, not knowing that it only made her cuter.

Taehyung had to press his lips together to prevent himself from laughing at Jeni's cute expression. "Mhm, I heard you." Taehyung saw a bench nearby and went over to sit on it.

Geez, it was a mistake to not bring her a stroller. Taehyung thought to himself, because right now although Jeni is small it feels as if she weighs a ton. Plus Taehyung's arms were sore. He sat down on the bench before placing Jeni down next to him. Jeni allows all of this and is quiet for a moment before speaking again.

"Tae-Tae, are we poor?" Jeni asked suddenly. Taehyung silently looked at her with amusement written all over his face. He lifted his hand to run it through her black curls and chuckled.

"No, we're not poor sweetheart," he said. But Jeni didn't understand.

"If we're not poor then why can't you get Jeni something to eat? She's hungry you know." Jeni wondered. Does Tae-Tae want Jeni to die of hunger? With that thought, Jeni scrunched up he little face in anger. Taehyung just smiled at her angry expression and runs his hand through his hair.

Seeing Taehyung's blatant disregard Jeni ran off into the crowd, her tiny self quickly disappearing.

Lost in his thoughts Taehyung did not notice until she was long gone.
