8 Chim's Nightmares

Jeni was sitting on the couch watching a Tv drama with Mrs. Mary when someone knocked on the door.

Mrs. Mary got up to see who it was. When she opened the door she saw a friendly face.

"Oh, Jimin! You're here!" Mrs. Mary cupped Jimin's cheek tenderly. She took his hand and led him to the couch where Jeni was sitting. She had Jimin sit while she got him a cup of tea.

Jimin looked at Jeni who was determined to ignore him. He patted her head silently and watched the television with her. And so an amicable silence filled the air.

Mrs. Mary walked in to see this odd scenario.

"Well now, why are you two so quiet?" She asked while handing Jimin his cup of tea.

Jimin grinned and said, " Oh, the little princess is just giving me the silent treatment."

Mrs. Mary frowned when she heard that and proceeded to scold Jeni, "Now, Jeni I believe that I taught you better than that."

Jeni pouted and said, " But Tae-Tae said that if Jeni doesn't want to talk then Jeni doesn't have to. And Jeni doesn't want to talk to Uncle Chim."

Jeni gave Jimin an angry look before focusing on the TV.

Mrs. Mary felt helpless at Jeni's attitude.

"It's okay, Mrs. Mary. Jeni is still upset at me from my last visit." Jimin said with a knowing smile. And the conversation ended at that.

Soon enough Jimin and Jeni left Mrs. Mary's home and walked around the neighborhood for a while.

As they walked Jimin watched Jeni with a stoic expression. He looked down at her little head that bounced as she walked.

"Heh,"

He couldn't help but laugh softly. Hearing Jimin's laughter Jeni frowned and finally looked at him.

"What's so funny?" She asked grumpily.

Jimin shook his head with a small smile on his face.

"Oh nothing, you just reminded me of your dad when he was a brat like you."

Jeni frowned at what he said.

"Uncle Chim Jeni isn't a brat. And neither was Tae-Tae." She said indignantly.

Jeni squinted her eyes and tried to look intimidating like her dad. But little did she know that only made her look more adorable.

Jimin covered his mouth to hide the amused grin that was creeping upon his face. In the end, he couldn't help but snicker.

Jeni pouted at Jimin and ran off again.

"Hmph, how dare Uncle Chim laughs at Jeni...Jeni isn't a joke" She grumbled as she toddled on the sidewalk.

Jeni had half-a-mind to pull a disappearing act on Jimin. But she knew that his punishment would be much harsher than those that Taehyung would give her, so she didn't dare to.

With Jimin behind her, Jeni walked ahead confidently. She was so busy pouting that she didn't see the old man in front of her and stepped on his foot.

The old man yelled before looking down at Jeni.

"Hey! Runt watch where you're- oh?"

Jeni watched as he looked her over with a weird glint in his eye. 'Great Jeni has a crazy Uncle Chim and a weirdo.' She grumbled inwardly. Jeni looked at the old man as she made herself look extra innocent and cute.

Jimin slowed his steps a bit. Wanting to see the show that she was going to put on.
