The Girl Who Fell In Love With A Demon

"There have been many demons terrorizing the village. I'm afraid to admit that a lot of good men have fallen in the attempt. I beg of you, please slay the demon."

" Don't worry, sir," Miroku reassured.

" I have not been able to aid my very ill wife in the temple and to make matters worse, she does not have much time to live."

" You can count of us, mister!" The fox demon said in Yuki's arms.

InuYasha snickered.

" Are you alright, InuYasha?" Yuki questioned as she turned her head slightly to the side and looked at the half-breed concerned.

" He's just upset because we taking a bit of a detour to help those in need first," Kagome answered instead and eavesdrop.

" This is the time my wife resting in." He pointed out but continue to walk in the same direction with the outsiders." Follow me and I can show you the demon's hideout. The cave is up the mountain where he brings the villagers and devours them with his comrades. I can tell you everything about them. I have been studying this entire time"He instructed.

" Hold on." Inuyasha's ears twitched as he suddenly paused his footsteps.

Everyone stopped alarmed.

" What is it, InuYasha?" Kagome questioned.

He turned around and made direct eye contact with Kagome's friend as he stood in front of her." Yuki, stay in the temple with the nobleman's wife."

" Why?" Yuki asked and could eye on them but Kagome's were piercing through her back.

" I can't stand you being around, it's so annoying."

" Just don't pay attention to me. ....just because you say I should do something doesn't mean that I have to." Yuki had to make a counterattack so it could seem like she's not interested in InuYasha, at all.

" I can't help it... I really.....just can't help it. I can't focus completely when you're around. I want to make sure you are safe from harm's way. I don't want you to end up like Kikyo... I would do absolutely anything to prevent Naraku from pinning us against each other.

Oh god! I just made it worse. Yuki thought to herself and was completely speechless. For some reason, her heart began to feel conflicted.

" SIT BOY!" Kagome shouted with pure anger and jealously as InuYasha's face planted on the ground. She could not bear the sight of those two like that.

" Ka...go...me!" He growled.

Everyone agreed to leave Yuki at the temple and after that situation, she wanted to stay to avoid Kagome at all costs. She waved and watch the group leave her behind, once again.

Yuki walked inside the temple quietly as she slowly slide the door open someone spoke and it startled her.

" Who are you?" she asked very weakly.

" I'm Yuki, I was sent to stay here with you." She smile genuinely and introduces herself to the women bedridden. It was a little weird, she looked much younger than I image. Maybe even close to my age

She had pretty short brown hair that was the same color as her eyes. Her skin was very pale. She wore a pink kimono.

" That's good. It's nice to see someone around the same age as I, I'm glad." She turned her head on the pillow as they made direct eye contact. She had a pretty smile then suddenly, she began coughing intensely.

" Sit up!" Yuki instructed and helped the woman as she patted her back continuously then she coughed up blood that splattered all over the floor.

" Oh, my. Are you alright?" Yuki quickly poured a glass of water.

" Thank you but this always happens to me." She answered.

" That's right! Your husband did say that you are sick." Yuki said as she cleaned up the blood with a wet cloth.

" You remind me of someone that I met a long time ago." She mentioned.

" Who?" Yuki asked.

" In the closet, there a book on the third shelf.

" I never caught your name."

" My name is Mae."

Yuki opened the closet and found the book in a heartbeat. It's was actually hard not to miss. It's a journal...wait no... a diary... Kiyomi's diary? What's with that name following me everywhere She began flipping page to page.

" I'm fear that my life is in danger but now, once I give birth my children would be too. I walked to the villagers and they promised to take her in. I parted my ways with the father close to a year and the due date is near. She could never be accepted if her father is a demon, half-breed is what he despises more than anything in the world. I made the decision that no matter what I could not possibly leave her with the father. I'll have to be separated from my child and I been practicing to suppress her powers and to also make her seem close to human so people won't abuse her for the things she'll be capable of. I could feel my child small kicks every day and I know it'll get harder to leave my child with some stranger. Rather, it's a boy or a girl. I think I would name my child Rin..I may no longer be alive but if danger finds my child. Please protect it....."

Yuki turned the page to see it was blank and the other pages were torn out. She had a thousand questions and did not know where to even began.

" Where is the rest of it?" Yuki asked.

" She ripped out the pages right before she handed it to me. I always had a weak and fragile body. I have fallen ill the day she visit to hide from a demon but she entrusted me with it. The following day, she left with a smile on her face and promised me that we'll meet again on her journey. As she had her case of arrows on her back."

"Have you read this?"

" No, I always kept it away because I was busy. I have been meaning to but life took a toll on me."

Who was Kiyomi hiding from and why did she rip out the remaining pages? Mae definitely tells the truth and I doubt that she's lying about anything. Could Kiyomi foresee the future and purposely planted this for me to find but why? And this child to protect from danger 'Rin' is it who I think it is because I really hope not but what should I do? Yuki was in deep thought and could not think of what to do next. Her decision impact the future of hers and a child.

" Have you been in love before, Yuki? Do you regret anything?" Mae asked, as the tone of her voice got weaker.

" Yes, I don't regret a moment. He's strong, friendly, and very dependable."Yuki answered but as soon as those words came out of her mouth a certain dog demon popped up in her head. She shook her head back and forth in denial.

" I love InuYasha!" she told herself.

" But, why are you crying?"

" I'm not really sure....." Yuki responded.

" Yuki, there's something I want you to do for me but before that, I need you to hear my story." Mae placed her hands on top of Yuki's." The truth is that I was born into a very poor family but I work hard to get married into wealth. I thought that I would become happier but I was definitely wrong. My parents died a year after I got married. I wanted to die.My husband is not the man that I love. I made the choices for a better life for me and my family but it was so hard to continue living. I hate to admit it but I tried to jump off a cliff to kill myself but I was saved and that was when I fell in love with a demon..."

Yuki's heart started to pound hard against her chest as more memories of Sesshomaru started to cloud her thoughts.

" I know that I won't live to see tomorrow and I regret it. I regret it so much because the only memory of him that I have is his child kicking inside me. I have always been weak and carrying a half-breed, my chances of living are low. Everyone thinks that I'm just ill but this infant is literally destroying my body. My husband forbid me to see him and do everything in his power to kill the demon even if it means feeding lies to other people....I know this may sound like a burden but I want you to look after my child," Mae voice began to get softer as sweat drop from her forehead and force a smile.

The husband actually wanted to kill the person his wife was seeing? Sick....InuYasha and the others falling right into his trap

" Stop talking like that, Mae. Everything is going to be fine and I promise you but I'll be right back there's something that I must do." Yuki rushed out of the temple and ran in the direction InuYasha and the others were in. She was out of breath and if she could do anything, she will prevent this mistake from happening. She ran through the Forrest and saw InuYasha then some demon getting beaten up badly.

" STOP INUYASHA!" Yuki shouted.

'Please Kiyomi lend me some of your strength" she took another step in the home to stop them in time but she felt weird as enormous spiritual powers ranging inside and wanted to burst out.

Yuki walked towards the group and stood in front of the defenseless demon. She spread her arms out You can't, InuYasha! You can't let the child be both fatherless and motherless, I won't allow it. You would have to slice right through me. Mae is giving birth right now and the chances of her surviving are fairly low and I made a promise to protect."
