Q: How long have you been writing?
A: About 10 years now, I started by winning scholarships in grade school doing reports and scholarly papers but went into fiction after reading books like Harry Potter, Warrior Cats, and The Hunter.

Q: Why did you start writing fiction?
A: Believe it or not, I actually disliked fiction books for a while because my told mentor me that imagination makes for unrealistic judgment. However, after reading a colleague's science fiction, and their portrayal of the world around them, I wanted to make a world for myself!

Q: Any reason you decided to go for Knights specifically in your book?
A: Because the Knight-class is underrated in my opinion. Everyone wants to be fast archers, dual-wielding swordsmen, beast-tamers, mages, healers, etc. but never Knights! In most Isekai books, manga, and anime mainly cover roles that triumph via magic and sorcery. But it's well-known in most RPGs that knights and paladins have the least magic proficiency, not making them a fan favorite. Knights have to focus on technique, physical prowess, and intellect to overcome an opponent—which in Momoko's words is "badass."
P.S. Not throwing shade at other roles, Knights are just my particular favorite :)

Q: How did you envision Momoko and the other characters in your book?
A: References, references, references. Most, if not all, of my characters, are references from a friend, family member, and even my pets! In my opinion, as a writer, if you've been with a person long enough and envision them as a character it's easier as you know what they'd most likely do and not do. I also wanted them to be relatable and genuine. That's why I LOVE Isekais like Konosuba that incorporate comedy into the story—because realistically anyone that teleports to a new world is going to be a bit rough around the edges. No one wants a stern tough guy who has an ego or vendetta, it's kind of boring and outplayed.

Q: How long does it take to write a chapter? Do you have a scheduled writing regiment?
A: I'm big on planning. A lot of the arcs are already planned out and all I need to do is put them on paper. Most of my writing is 1k-2k words and I type at around 83 wpm...so if you do the math [Insert calculation here]: It doesn't take me that long xD
I try to write at least 5k words a day every week, while chapters release every day around 12:00 PM EST.
The longest process of writing is going back for editing. My approach is as follows: Draft, Read, Grammar-check, Read, Info-check (make sure that there's no missing information), Read, Reader-check (reading as if it was my first time), then I bug either one of my professional editor/novel friends to read it for me.

Q: How long do you see this series going? Do you plan to continue after WSA?
A: MMMM, Good question.
It was always my dream to write a character around a female-lead like Momoko. I can't explain it, I just feel comfortable working with female leads. Probably because despite what males think, and my experience with a household full of women and several girlfriends, some women have the same characteristics as dudes: Perversion, Disorderedly conduct, or just plain recklessness!
However, I will say, that this book has planned several arcs and side stories so stay tuned!

Q: What do you expect readers to take away from reading your book?
A: That despite where you come from, or not knowing where you going, that you should always fight for yourself because you're worth it.
Having low self-confidence as a child it was hard for me to make friends. The honesty of my friends, as well as support from family, made many of my life's decisions easier and less problematic. It's truly a blessing to know that you can depend on someone else, especially if they radiate love and concern.

Q: Got any tips for new writers, or writers in general?
A: I don't think I'm in the position to give advice (Ha, ha) but if you're serious about writing, WebNovel is an excellent resource to take advantage of (especially if you're thinking of going professional). You can read from authors in your same genre, ask for reviews on the forum, and get genuine opinions on your work from your readers. A win-win-win! :D
