Chapter 3: The attack

We were on our way back from practicing, it was quite the long distance from our training area to the village.

"Great job today Alucard, you're becoming stronger by the minute and sooner or later you'll be even stronger than me, maybe even stronger than the chief himself." She told me smiling as if it was meant to be a joke

"Well I can never become as strong as you guys" I humbly replied

We finally reached the gate to our village, when miya opened it we were shocked with what we are looking at.

The whole town is engulfed in flames there were a lot of monsters destroying the buildings and killing the elves. The soldiers were fighting what seemed to be a hard battle but we are here now, all this time training will finally be of some worth. At that moment I instantly saw my old town, my childhood when miya rescued me from balmond.

"Alucard you hold these monsters off, help the other soldiers while I search for the chief..." Miya ordered me, her voice was full of rage especially that she is seeing her fellow elves die right in front of her.

"and please, don't die" She looked at me, gave me a smile and instantly went off to find the chief.

I do not have time to think, I pulled out my sword and went off to help my fellow soldiers. There were a lot of them and the more time passes by, the more it looks like we were losing this fight.

"No! I don't want this to end like my old village, I have to save these people, if only I were stronger then I could kill all these demons and rush to their side to help them." I thought to myself while battling these monsters. I cannot allow the same past to repeat, I wanted it to change, to see that after this battle all that is standing are me and the elves that were fighting this monsters.

At that moment, I instantly feel more power rushing inside me. I let all that power into my hands and swung my sword to the monsters. A huge energy wave was suddenly released from my sword and killed all the demons right in front of me.

I was surprised with what just happened, I wanted to figure out how I did that but I cannot, I have to help my fellow elves. I clenched my sword and went further to help my comrades. I was able to kill more and more demons while saving more and more elves.

While nearing the center of the village something caught my eye. I stopped and looked beside me and there I saw Lolita leaning in the wall, beaten. I went to her side to help her.

"Hey Lolita it's me, Alucard! Can you hear me?" I asked her with in a worrying tone.

"A-alucard? T-thank God you're here." She instantly held my right shoulder while trying to speak.

"The C-Chief, you have to help him, h-he's in danger!" She fainted after telling me that.

I laid her down, hidden where those demons can't reach her. I immediately stood up and ran to the center of the village as fast as I can. Hoping that whatever is happening there, the chief and miya is still safe, fighting whatever enemy they are facing right now.
