17 New Sword

Although Enzo understood the crazy value of this sword, that didn't stop him from looking at the other swords before making a decision.

It would be idiotic to just choose the first sword because he liked it when he could like the other swords much more.

Enzo then touched the second sword.

The second sword was a two handed longsword with a silver blade and a blue leather wrapped hilt.

[Quick Strike Longsword (Rare)]

[Description: Most longswords cause the user to have slower slashes than if the person was using a normal length sword. This is because longswords trade speed and power for range. However, this longsword was specially crafted to be much faster than other longswords. It is still slightly slower than if a person used a normal length sword, but it is much faster and lighter than other longswords.]

"Holy shit! Will are you really offering these weapons to people for only a few silvers?!"

"Haha. I told you they were worth much more than that. To answer your question, yes. As I said, I lost a lot of my reputation because of my past actions. As you can see, even most of the players ignore my store."

Enzo looked around the small stall of the blacksmith and saw something he failed to notice previously.

Most players were avoiding William Smith's stall like the plague.

"Wait, why are they doing that?"

"For many reasons. Some of them have been warned by other stalls or store owners, while some just read the signs near my stall that say to stay away."

"Oh, I didn't even notice those signs…"

Enzo and Pepper looked at the side of Will's stall and saw signs saying things like, "This blacksmith sucks, don't shop here", and other things to discourage people from even coming close to Will's stall.

"I am glad I didn't see the signs, I wouldn't be able to find such a treasure trove if not." Enzo smiled at the blacksmith who returned his own smile back.

Enzo then put his hand on the third sword in the lineup of four.

This sword looked completely different from the previous two.

It was a black bladed odachi with a matching black hilt. It looked very menacing and Enzo was sure that just looking at this blade would strike a sense of fear in some enemies.

[Darkness Glutton (Rare)]

[Description: This blade thrives in the darkness. It is made of a very special kind of metal that can only be mined in complete darkness, something very hard to comeby as there is almost always a small source of light in caves. This blade grows stronger with each kill when the sun is not visible. The stronger the blade, the more power the blade offers its user.]

This time Enzo's jaw dropped to the ground.

These swords just got more and more ridiculous as he viewed them.

He never expected to get the opportunity to get something so powerful this early on in the game.

"Pe-Pepper, check this one out."

He directly grabbed her wrist and placed her hand on the odachi.

After a minute of reading, Pepper had the exact reaction that Enzo had just a little bit ago.

"..."

It took a few minutes for Pepper and Enzo to regain their wits.

Will just smiled at them throughout the whole thing and gave them time.

They wouldn't be this surprised if it wasn't so early on in the game.

Not only that, but Enzo knew fully well just how powerful a weapon like this could get later on and having it so early would be even better.

He would have much more time to strengthen the sword than if he were to obtain this odachi later on when he was much higher leveled.

Even just the "Rare" indicator beside each weapon was enough to tell them that they shouldn't have weapons like this for a long time.

Enzo took a deep breath and shook his head.

He then moved onto the last of the swords.

It was similar to Darkness Glutton in the sense that it was a very menacing sword.

It was a crimson red bladed katana. It had a black hilt and a hexagonal black guard.

[Ravenous Blood Drinker]

[Description: This sword was made from a combination of metals and vampiric flora that can only be harvested during a blood moon one night every year. It is light enough to be used with one hand, but balanced well enough to be used with two as well. This sword has similar vampiric properties as the flowers used to create the blade. It grows stronger by drinking the blood of its user's enemies. The stronger the blade grows, the stronger the user who wields it becomes.]

"I want this one." Enzo said immediately after reading the description.

He was no longer surprised by the insane stats of the sword, but there was no doubt in his mind that this was the best one placed on this table.

This sword was very similar to the Darkness Glutton, but it wasn't limited to the nighttime. The Darkness Glutton would cause Enzo to become nocturnal just to make his weapon stronger. This katana, however, would allow him to fight during any time of day and still grow stronger.

It also would help to increase his vitality, a stat Enzo never plans on focusing on.

As a Monster Slayer, Enzo's plans are to make a glass cannon type build, so vitality will be last on his list to upgrade. But, this katana would help him avoid that being a disadvantage as long as he leveled it up.
