79 Kyoketsu-Shoge

Enzo unraveled a few feet of the rope in less than a few seconds. His plan wasn't to swing around the daggers like Kyoketsu-Shoge are supposed to be used, but rather to just take advantage of the fact that his daggers now had a rope on them.

Enzo dashed towards the Knight with his daggers back in hand and a few feet of the rope now hanging.

The Knight slashed his longsword horizontally at Enzo. He must have expected Enzo to duck under the sword or to make another move that would allow Enzo to get closer to him, and this is what Enzo was betting on. Instead of dodging like the Knight predicted, he jumped back and created considerable distance between the two.

Enzo threw out the dagger in his right hand mid jump.

The dagger embedded itself right in the weak spot of Knight of Retribution.

Due to Enzo's constant use of his bow and creative use of other weapons, his accuracy has gotten much better since the start of the game, so feats of skill and athleticism like this weren't as hard as they should be. On top of that, the dagger was able to do so much damage not only because it hit the weak spot of the player, but also because of Enzo's recently increased strength stat. His strength stat had gone through significant upgrades because of not only his stat points gained for leveling up, but also because of his new gear that increased his strength.

Enzo grabbed the rope attached to the dagger and pulled back as hard as he could. The dagger came flying back towards him before Knight of Retribution could even react. However, Enzo made a fatal mistake.

"Ah shit!"

His dagger lodged itself into his own arm.

It was aimed towards his head at first, but Enzo was able to lean his body away fast enough for it to hit his arm instead.

'This hurts like hell…'

Before he could lament about his mistake any longer.

'Huh?'

It didn't take long for Enzo's confusion to dissipate. He didn't have time to look back because he was still in the middle of a fight, but Enzo realized that the only way for him to randomly gain health back like that was through the only healer on the team, Jane.

Jane must have used one of her shaman spells on him after seeing his blunder.

Enzo pulled the dagger out of his arm and returned his attention to Knight.

The player was holding his head in agony and made sure to let Enzo know.

"You bitch! This shit hurts! What is wrong with you?!" Knight of Retribution yelled.

Sadly, his team had healers on their side as well so half of the damage done to Knight was recovered.

[HP: 1,500/2,500]

While the wound was completely healed, it didn't stop the pain from assaulting them. Enzo had it much better as his wound was to the arm, but Knight of Retribution got a strike right to his brain so of course the pain was much worse.

The dagger had gone extremely deep into his head and pierced most of his brain. It was a miracle that the dagger didn't poke out of the other side of his head too.

The only reason Knight of Retribution was still standing right now is because of how the game works. While injuries hurt just like the real world, and even look like real world injuries, they didn't always behave like the real world.

If enough damage was done, a limb could be severed off by a clean strike, but if a smaller amount of damage occurred, even if the weapon made a clean cut through the limb, it wouldn't be cut off.

It was one of the only things about Legends Reborn Online that wasn't realistic, as everything else was almost perfect. Enzo wondered if this was the reason the headgear only went up to 97%, but this feature was the same on the other headgear as well so it wasn't conclusive.

Many players had complaints about this lack of realism in the game and made sure to voice the complaints, but they have been mostly ignored by the developers so far.

"Time to die Goliath." Enzo muttered before charging at Knight of Retribution once more.

The player stopped writhing in pain as he noticed Enzo rushing towards him, but it was still extremely visible through his expression. Nevertheless, he still lifted his longsword from the ground and prepared to receive a strike from Enzo.

Enzo threw out the dagger from his left hand when he got close enough to do so.

Knight of Retribution ducked down to let the dagger fly over his head, and it did.

Enzo pulled on the rope as soon as he realized the dagger wasn't going to hit its target. He threw out his other dagger at the same time.

Knight of Retribution rolled on the ground, avoiding the second dagger as well.

Enzo predicted this would happen, so instead of pulling back the dagger this time he decided to try another move.

He grabbed the rope and swung the dagger in a circular form.

The dagger created a deep cut as it sliced across the shoulder of Knight of Retribution.

"Agh!"

He grabbed onto his shoulder in pain as he tried to stand back up.

Enzo threw out his left hand dagger again to take advantage of Knight's pain.

This whole fight took place within a 20 ft area, so the dagger reached him very quickly.

[You have killed Knight of Retribution]

The dagger hit the player in the center of his forehead once again, but this time was deadly.

"Well, this was a good purchase." Enzo smiled as he looked down at his daggers. He wrapped them back onto his arms before looking around at his teammates to see if any of them needed help.

They all seemed to reach the ends of their fights right after Enzo finished his.

A bunch of notifications rang out about the deaths of each player.
