First World Auction (5)

The next few items were items Enzo had no use for as they were advanced subclass items such as a good smithing hammer that Hephaestus purchased.

There were also a few rare metals that were auctioned off, but Enzo helped Hephaestus to buy these as they would greatly help him. Hephaestus won every metal chunk auctioned off, but he informed Enzo that some of them were metals required for his symbiote recipe so Enzo purchased them for him.

The first metal that Enzo purchased was known as Vibratium. The vibratium chunk was almost as tall as Enzo and much wider. It was black but had a blue hue to it.

[Chunk of Vibratium]

[This metal is one of the strongest known metals in the world. It is not only strong, but also very impact resistant. Vibratium is an insanely hard metal to purify, so only the best blacksmiths should attempt to do so.]

Enzo purchased the big chunk for 65 gold coins and handed it off to the dwarf chaser.

The next metal was a very peculiar one.

[Cloth Iron]

[This metal was actually mislabeled as iron by the first ones to find it. It is not iron but something similar. After heating this metal past a certain temperature then allowing it to cool, it becomes extremely elastic. It almost becomes a cloth like material, but miraculously retains the hardness of metal.]

Enzo purchased the cloth iron chunk for 105 gold coins and gave it to Hephaestus just like the vibratium.

The rest of the auction went by smoothly, and Enzo wasn't interested in anything else until the auctioneer got to the last item.

"Now! For our last item in the first World Auction, we have something very special."

A worker brought up something and handed it off to Brian as he was talking.

Brian took the cover off of the item dramatically and revealed a book.

"..."

The dramatic reveal was supposed to make the audience excited, and Brian even paused his speech so the audience could cheer, but it ended up backfiring on him.

The audience was completely silent, and some people even booed.

However, most people in the VIP boxes were smiling ear to ear, including Enzo. This is because they could see the description of the item already.

[Species Dossier of Terra]

[This book is a collection of information about every species that currently exists or has ever existed in the world of Terra.]

'I hope it has the bloodlines in it. Sigh.' Enzo thought to himself.

He knew he would have to bid on this book no matter what, because if it did contain what he hoped it would then he would be upset that he didn't at least try.

Brian ignored the silence and even some boos from the audience and continued to auction off the item.

"We will start the bidding off at 100 gold coins for this dossier." He said.

Not even a few seconds later, "Wow! The bid has already reached 150 from VIP box 1"

Enzo quickly bid 155 gold coins towards the book.

"We have 155 from box 4"

"160 from box 8"

"..."

"180 from box 130"

"185 from box 4"

"186 from box 1"

By now the crowd had started cheering as the excitement of so many people fighting over an item with so many coins. They were starting to realize that maybe this item was more valuable than they believed originally.

Most of the VIPs were able to instantly understand how important this book could be not only because of the possibility to have the bloodlines listed in it, but also because even if it didn't it's still valuable. A book listing every species in the world and information on them is very valuable. Information in general is a very powerful weapon and something just as important as personal strength.

The bidding from the VIP boxes continued

"187 from box 4"

"188 from box 9"

"189 from box 1"

The bidding was starting to slow down, so Enzo decided to go big or go home.

"Oh my gosh! 205 gold coins from box 4!" Brian shouted.

The crowd erupted in loud cheers. Seeing so much money tossed around was something very exciting for players with just a few silver coins to their names. It showed that they could potentially make that much money as well, so it gave them hope.

Enzo didn't necessarily enjoy spending so much money on these things because he had just gotten the money, and now it was all going away. He knew he had to spend it to help further himself and his group in the game, but it still hurt to spend so much money on a virtual game after growing up without any for so long.

"Is anyone going to bid higher than 205?!"

"Going once!"

"Going twice!"

"Andddddddd….. SOLD!!!" Brian screamed at the top of his lungs.

Enzo now only had 24 gold coins, some silvers, and some bronze coins to his wealth now.

'Sigh. I'll get it back, I just need to work harder.'

"Congrats Atlas." Juliet said with a smile.

The rest of the group followed Juliet's lead and congratulated him as well.

"Thanks guys." Enzo responded.

"Now, we gotta get back to work. Remember we only have a month left before the blood moon, so make sure you all have your ingredients before then. Let's meet up in Stonewall in 5 weeks, so I can concoct the blood potions and Ivan can make sure the ironwood coffins are working properly."

"Alright." Ivan responded.

Juliet nodded her head.

"Sir, yes sir!" Vincent screamed and did a mock military salute.

They all laughed and Enzo shook his head at his friend's antics.

Over the next few minutes Brian gave a speech and then dismissed the players.

Enzo went into his room in the Silverwind Inn once he was back.

He not only needed to make more potions, but this time he also wanted to read a few books. There was the dossier and the book he got from the Dragon Slayer house that he never read as well.

Sorry for no chapters yesterday and if I don't get another one out today. I was busy yesterday and today is Father's Day in the U.S.

Also let me know in the comments what possible animal forms you want Enzo's symbiotes to have.
