33 Even More Crazy News???

In chapter 16 I originally said one platinum coin is worth 100,000 gold coins, but I have changed it to 10,000 gold coins to match up better with how I want the conversion to be. You will understand what I mean after you read this chapter.

To the astonishment of Enzo and Ivan, the next announcement was just as crazy as the last one.
"The next announcement that will be released soon by Extant Company is about the headgear."
"The new Gold DIVR headgear will be released tonight at midnight, but only online, not in stores."
"Damn, I'm going to have to make more money." Enzo mumbled angrily.
He had to work for months at a convenience store on his college campus to be able to afford the silver headgear. This meant he would have to work again to afford the upgraded version, or so he thought…
"The gold headgear will become available on Extant Company's website at 12 am for $5,000 USD or for 50 gold coins."
"Yes!" Enzo stood up and raised his hands above his head in celebration.
He had enough gold coins to buy the headgear while still having 11 gold coins left over.
'So this means at the moment 1 gold coin is worth $100 USD, one silver coin is worth $1, and one bronze coin is worth 1 cent.'
'And 1 platinum coin is worth $1 million USD. Holy shit that's a lot!'
The conversion put just into perspective how much people who owned platinum coins would have.
Enzo also realized he made over $6,700 in just two days of playing Legends Reborn Online.
'Holy shit…'
"Ivan, we're going to get rich bro!" Enzo stood up once again and raised his hands above his head.
Enzo started whooping and shouting in excitement, but for some reason Ivan wasn't doing the same.
Noticing this, Enzo stopped celebrating and raised an eyebrow.
"Why aren't you celebrating bro? I made over 6K in just two days from the game, so I know you made around that much as well."
"Ummm, Enzo… You know I'm already rich right?"
"..."
Enzo plopped down on the couch in defeat.
"I forgot…"
"Hahahahah! I'm proud of you though, you did make a lot of money."
Enzo then turned his attention back to the anchor who started explaining the features of the gold headgear.
"The gold headgear will be a massive upgrade from the silver version, hence its massive price increase. The gold headgear offers 97% realism as opposed to the 95% of the silver headgear. The gold headgear will also come with a full body suit the player will put on before entering the game."
Enzo raised an eyebrow.
"The bodysuit will stimulate the muscles while the player plays. This will help to keep the muscles active in the body, while also working them out. So, activities such as running in game will reflect on your real body as if you ran the same distance in real life."
"Amazing." Enzo mumbled.
Ivan didn't say anything, but he was just as surprised and excited.
"Another feature of the gold headgear is that you will be able to play for 48 hours now, with an 8 hour charge time."
"I know some of your are probably thinking about how you wouldn't be able to play for 48 hours without being extremely tired, well Extant Company has even thought of a solution to that! The gold headgear will allow the players to play for the full 48 hours while feeling like you have only been awake for 10 or so hours when you exit the game."
"And, surprisingly, that is not all!" The news anchor shouted.
"Extant Company is releasing a nutrient pill for gold headgear users. If you have purchased a gold headgear you can subscribe to the nutrient pill system. You will receive 15 pills each month for 1 gold. Each pill will provide the body with the needed nutrients for 2 days and reduce hunger."
'Extant Company is really smart.' Enzo thought.
Not only was the company able to make such a good upgrade in the DIVR headgear with the increase in the realism percentage, they were also able to prevent problems like muscle atrophy and hunger from staying in the game too long.
"Let's find the app the news person mentioned." Enzo told Ivan.
The two then pulled out their phones and searched for it in the app store.
It was extremely easy to find as it was called "LRO", the acronym for Legends Reborn Online.
Enzo and Ivan downloaded the app and opened it.
[Welcome to the mobile app for LRO! Here you will be able to access your in game currency to be used in real life, and much more!]
[Please enter your in game name and place your phone next to your headgear to login.]
Enzo went to his room and did as the app told him.
Right after he placed his phone on top of the headgear he was logged in.

The app then took him to the home screen that had a white screen with a few tabs on it that looked like this:

Enzo tapped on the bank account tab out of curiosity even though he already knew how many coins he had.

Enzo decided to not give the developers the satisfaction they hoped to receive and ignored the account number completely.
He looked down at his balance and mumbled, "Nice."
Enzo then navigated to the Extant Store to see what was available.
As of right now it was only the bronze, silver, and gold headgear, but the gold headgear was grayed out and had a timer counting down to midnight.
'15 hours.'
It was 8 am when the group logged out and an hour passed since then, so the new gold headgear would be available for purchase in just 15 hours.
Enzo returned to the living room alongside Ivan and they started texting Juliet and Vincent to discuss the news.
Everyone was very excited about the new headgear and cryptocurrency.
