35 Big Purchase

"Alright Jane, I'll add you when I get back into the game, just add me back once you reach level 10." Enzo told her.

"Okay."

Enzo turned to leave the store, but Jane stopped him.

"Wait! How are you already level 10 yet?" She asked incredulously.

"Haha, I've been playing nonstop until now." Enzo answered sheepishly.

"Still, that's amazing. Only 10 players have reached level 10 so far."

"Yeah, Ivan and I worked really hard."

"Ivan is level 10 as well???" Jane was even more shocked now.

She wasn't friends with Ivan, but they could be called acquaintances as she knew him through Enzo and has talked to him a few times in the past.

"Yeah, he's Prometheus, he came in 5th place I believe. I'm Atlas, I came in 8th."

"Wow, that's amazing. I'm still only level 9 so it might take a bit for me to catch up."

"Level 9 is still really good Jane, especially since you have been working the store."

Jane smiled out of pride.

It was true that she has been working the store for a few hours each day, so reaching level 9 this fast is a big accomplishment.

"Anyways, I'll be going now. See you later."

Enzo waved on his way out.

"Bye!"

Enzo walked back to his apartment while sipping on the soda he purchased.

It was around 6 pm when he returned home because he spent so long talking with Jane.

"Ivan, I'm back."

"Sup." He replied nonchalantly.

Enzo plopped down on the couch and watched TV with Ivan to pass the time.

"Is this a vampire anime?" Enzo asked after watching for a few minutes.

Ivan smiled in amusement, "Yeah, I think LRO gave me an interest in them."

The anime Ivan was watching was about a demon lord who died and reincarnated many years later only to find out the vampires at the time were much weaker than they should be.

It was very interesting and kept Enzo and Ivan's attention off the clock until 12.

At 11:59, they both made sure to have their phones out and on the new app for LRO, ready to buy the new headgear.

Ivan linked his real life money to the store because he planned on using that instead of his coins. There was no reason to spend his coins when he had more real world money than coins at the time.

Enzo however, fully planned on using his coins.

Once the clock hit 12 am the gold headgear stopped being grayed out and became available for purchase.

Enzo and Ivan immediately added the new DIVR headgear to their shopping carts and checked out.

[Would you like to spend 50 coins to buy the Gold DIVR Headgear? Yes/No]

Enzo pressed "Yes" as fast as he could.

[Purchase has been confirmed. Your headgear will be available for pickup at your nearest GameGo store in an hour.]

"Did you secure?" Enzo asked.

"Yeah, I got mine." Ivan answered.

An hour later, at 1 am in the morning, the boys walked out of the apartment and went to the GameGo store on campus to pick up their new headgear.

Enzo was even more excited than the last time they went to do this. The gold headgear is easily one of the biggest purchases he has ever made, so it made him excited and anxious.

"Here you go." The store clerk said as he handed Enzo a gold box with no designs or wording on it.

"Thanks." Enzo and Ivan grabbed their boxes and left the store.

It was really easy to pick up their packages from the store, all they had to do was show the clerk their ID from the app and he confirmed it was them.

The boys went back to the apartment and immediately unpacked their new headgear to charge it.

In the golden box was a black body suit that had wires running all through it and the DIVR headgear that was attached to the suit. There was also a bottle in the box, but Enzo ignored it for a second to replace his old headgear with the new one on the charger.

Enzo then opened the bottle, and to his surprise there were pills inside.

'Cool, free nutrient pills.'

There were only 5 in the bottle, but that was enough to last 10 days so he wasn't upset.

Enzo then yelled from his room, "Hey Ivan, don't forget to buy the pill subscription too!"

He then opened up the app and went back to the store section and paid for the subscription service for the pills.

[Purchase confirmed. The first month's pills will be delivered tomorrow evening.]

So, this month's pills would most likely come when they were back in the game.

"Time to take a long nap." Enzo mumbled to himself before jumping under the covers and snuggling in.

For the first time in years Enzo didn't set his alarm before going to sleep.

"Mmmmm." Enzo groaned as he walked to the bathroom to start his morning routine.

"Ptui."

After spitting out his toothpaste he went into the kitchen to get something to eat.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Ivan called out.

"Shut up."

"Haha. You slept for 16 hours, you know."

"I was tired as hell from the game."

Enzo hadn't felt this refreshed since Legends Reborn Online came out.

"You missed a bunch of messages from the group chat." Ivan informed him.

"Alright, I'll check them out when I finish making food."

Enzo sat down with a plate of eggs, sausage, and bread 30 minutes later and scrolled through the group chat.

"Did someone really do that?" Enzo asked incredulously after he read everything.

"Yup, they are idiots." Ivan responded.

Juliet found a very popular thread on the forums made by the number one player on the leaderboards, Predator. In the post he directly told everyone where the dungeon is for the Fenrir clan of the werewolf bloodline. No one knows exactly why he did it, but it was an idiotic move in the eyes of the vampire chasers.

"I hope no one with the vampire quest is dumb enough to do something like that." Enzo said.

Ivan agreed.
