6 War with Iwagakure (Part-2)

Amegakure is a small but highly industrialized hidden village and as its name suggests, it rains almost constantly in Amegakure and the surrounding area. All the water seemingly ends in a large lake that surrounds the village.
Amegakure shinobi are said to be notoriously short-tempered, while their village trains them to their fullest potential, resulting in the creation of many original techniques. Ame is frequently hired for assassination missions, an area of expertise prized by many countries.
However, the most important reason that this village is so famous for in this world is, in fact, not any of that, it's actually its very peculiar geographical location.
Because of Amegakure's unique location right in between the three of the Five Great Shinobi Countries: Land of Fire, Land of Wind, and Land of Earth; it has recently served as a battleground during the First Ninja World War, making most of its population war refugees at the moment.
And the same could be said about this war, the Second Great Ninja War, too.
In fact, this war started in Amegakure as well.
But, the Amegakure wasn't what it was before. The Amegakure now was being led by Hanzo The Salamander, a notoriously powerful and shrewd shinobi, also known as the "Demigod" to some.
whose prowess is only lowered to the gods Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama
At some point during Hanzo's childhood, he found a black salamander with deadly venom residing in his village. When it died, its venom sac was embedded into his body in the hopes of creating a venomous ninja who himself was immune to toxins. This required him to wear a mask constantly, in order to protect others from his venom-laced breath.
At some point after this, Hanzo became well known and renowned throughout the shinobi world, so much that enemies have been known to flee at the very sight of him.
During the usually chaotic and hectic war day in the Amegakure, the legendary shinobi, Hanzo the Salamander, decided to attack one of the Konoha platoons stationed in his village, for whatever reason.
He ended up wiping out that whole platoon, he wiped all but the three shinobi from Konoha forces, stationed there, He dubbed those three shinobi, the "Three Legendary Sannin" after engaging in a fierce battle against them!
Being impressed with their current strength and their immense future potential. He decided to spare their lives that day, and ally with the Konohagakure in this war, making a gamble.
"With them here, Konoha will be the leading shinobi village through many years to come!", Hanzo said
While Leaving Amegakure, Nagato, Yahiko, and Konon approached the legendary Sannin and asked to be taught ninjutsu.
Orochimaru offered to kill them in order to end their suffering, but Jiraiya, guilty over his participation in the war, offered to teach them how to look out for themselves.
Jiraiya found a place for them to live and taught them how to fish, but he would not teach them ninjutsu.
While the orphans were out one day, they were found and assaulted by an Iwagakure chūnin.
Fearing for his friends' lives, Nagato used his Rinnegan to kill the Iwa-nin. When Jiraiya arrived on the scene to help them, he noticed Nagato's eyes for the first time and was reminded of the Myth of the Sage of the Six Paths, the original possessor of the Rinnegan.
Because of this, Jiraiya changed his mind and began teaching them ninjutsu. Nagato was remorseful for killing the Iwa-nin, but Jiraiya convinced him that sometimes violence and personal pain was necessary to protect others.
In time he even shared his belief that Nagato was the Sage of Six Paths' reincarnation and that, like the original Sage, Nagato would use his Rinnegan to usher in a world of peace.
During this time, Jiraiya starts writing a book. The Tale of the Utterly Gutsy Shinobi.
The story follows the adventures of a ninja named Naruto, a name Jiraiya came up with while eating ramen.
The main character, Naruto, never gives up and vows to break the "curse" that was mentioned in the story.
The mentioned "curse" represents the 'vicious cycles' of war, conflict, and hatred that occupies the ninja world that Nagato once spoke to Jiraiya about.
Jiraiya genuinely believed that Nagato will be the one who will break the curse of hatred.
Jiraiya trained the orphans for three years. And because of his Rinnegan, Nagato easily mastered everything he was taught.
Once they were able to defeat one of his shadow clones in a fight, Jiraiya decided they were ready to forge out on their own and he returned to Konoha, confident they would bring reform to the country.

(Present Day)
In the war Council room, Elders, General Kagami and Hokage were sitting on the chairs with the round table.
They were discussing matters when one Chunnin ran in and handed General a small paper.
A little smile slipped on General's stone face.
"What is it?", asked Danzo
"Nothing special, just a little message from Hokage's student Jiraiya, so he wanted to invite me to his welcoming party"
Danzo's eyes narrowed. The General didn't care. As another Chunnin ran inside.
"What's the result"
"Sir, The entire thing was a ruse, there was no food in any of the locations"
"How many we lost", asked Himura, another elder
"We lost around 10,000 soldiers, Only the troop led by Hatake Sakumo managed to survive. Rest ran from the battlefield, they are currently heading to Konoha"
BAM
"How brazen of them to run away and return with their face"
"..."
"A shinobi duty is to finish the enemy even at the cost of death. They are mere fodders anyway. Dying for the village is their job. General Execute them"
"Am I your servant or something"

"what?"
"Tell them they did a good job. Also, provide them enough resources for healing their injuries"
"Sir Yes sir", The chunnin ran outside feeling very emotional
"You let them go away like this, Even wasting food and Resources on their Injuries", Danzo said
"Wasting food and resources?", Kagami said slowly
"Yes, They are Fodders anyway. Dying for a greater purpose is their job. If you let them go like this they will run again. This is why we have martial laws. Against people like them. With such a soft heart you aren't fit to be the commander of the entire army", Dazo said again
"Shut up"
"Hiruzen in my opinion. We need to execute those guys, They deserted an active war field. This way we can save the food for better purposes and--
BAM
Kagami slammed the table hard.
"I SAID SHUT UP DANZO"
"..."
"YOU POLITICIANS CAN NEVER KNOW WHAT MY SOLDIERS FEEL IN THAT WARFIELD. WAR ISN'T GRAND. IT'S BLOODY. IT'S SCARY AS HELL"
"..."
"Even fodders care for their lives... Even they are afraid of death"
"..."
"Yet despite that, they march onto the battlefield in order to die. Only because they care for the village. Only because they want their dreams to be fulfilled"

"They are not objects Danzo, They are my comrades in arms. They watch their precious people, their bonds die in front of their eyes. Daily. Yet they keep marching on and on"

"I know because I was one of them, for a very long time. So, never say that we are wasting our food and resources on them. It is Disrespectful"

"Tell Yamanaka head to have me connected with every single member of our army", Kagami said to no one in particular
"Yes Commander", a voice came from nowhere, and like thin air, the invisible presence disappeared from the office.
Kagami stood up and start going out
"What are you going to do", asked Hokage finally
"This is getting nowhere, I am going to attack Iwa straight head-on"

"You are going to leave our village unprotected?", asked Hokage
"I will leave the political Nightmares for you Hiruzen"
"Kagami, I trust that you know, what you are doing"
"Believe me, You will have your food before sunrise"
"..."
"Alright, whatever comes afterward, I will handle everything. So, don't worry about political matters, Leave those to me, You go and do what you are good at, Controlling the battlefield", Hokage finally said
General Kagami nodded and went out.
"Hiruzen, you are trusting an Uchiha way too much", said Himura
"what do you want to say? speak it clearly"
"What we want to say is, we should control some of his influence. So that we can control him. If not, once he decides to go against us, or if he ever decides to gobble up entire Konoha for himself and his clan. We will lose nearly everything", said Danzo
"You done?"
"..."
"I think you are misunderstanding something here Dazo, Just because, I am Hokage doesn't mean anything. Right now, you can have me off the seat of Hokage. But you can't wobble up Kagami's position. Every single Soldier listen to his orders, not because they are forced to, but because they trust their lives to him"
"..."
"I don't what happened to you Danzo. Kagami used to our Childhood friend. Since the time of Academy"
"I saw the truth. Uchiha's are not to be trusted Hiruzen. You have been warned", Dazo get up and began to leave
"I don't know about Uchihas Danzo. But I can say it with certainty. Kagami was and is my friend. A friend that I trust with my back. He and you used to be childhood friends as well"
"..."
"I don't have any friends", He went out
"We used to be friends as well", muttered Hiruzen before he too gets up to leave

- Next-Day- Iwagakure
BBBOOOOOMMMMM
In the hiding place, General Aasui and Lord Second Tsuchikage turned their faces.
"It's started", said General Aasui
"Indeed Let's go to the battlefield, you guys stay here and protect elders", said Lord Second Tsuchikage pointing at 4 or so Jonins.
"Yes Lord Tsuchikage"
"Let's go", said Tsuchikage as General Aasui nodded
They knew about Konoha's plan.
Their spies have already planted their feet in Konoha. They were just waiting for this idiotic move to happen.
It really was an idiotic move. They have already set up an Ambush and multiple traps for Konoha Army.

-Meanwhile Konoha-
Taking advantage of the Konoha's general's idiotic tactical move. Iwagakure forces of 50,000 soldiers were in a position to destroy Konoha once and for all.
This was overkill as Konoha right now, don't even have 50 soldiers available in the village.
Once Iwa Learned of this attack they were surprised, How come someone at the level of General Kagami made such a rookie mistake. They were very suspicious of it first. But eventually, nothing happened, General Kagami really made this idiotic naive move.

BOOOOOMMMM
A huge explosion woke everyone up. Shinobis got up and prepared to fight. There were not that many in the village right now.
General Kagami took the entire army for battle.
Two men of almost equal age were tired as hell.
Danzo and Hokage fight the inevitable Battle with vigor.
They were truly too tired for this shit and they were on their last legs.
Sarutobi had multiple stab wounds and his ninja outfit was covered in blood. And not all of it was his own, from Danzo to the random root agent that got in their way.
Then there was Danzo. who was even in the worst shape.
Despite the situation, Sarutobi sighed and chuckled. "It seems we are finally fighting together again, eh Danzo?"
"Fuck you!" Danzo shouted out as blood poured from his shoulder wound. "If you had just done your fucking job as a Kage and made the right decisions, then none of this bullshit would have happened..!"
"Like that would make any difference"
"You let that fucker to take an entire army and left our village totally unprotected without even questioning him"
"Oh spare me your light speech. Like you don't know that he has never made a single mistake concerning war tactics after he became a Platoon Leader back in those days"
"Oh, but he did now"
"I told you it will be a political nightmare" A voice monotone out as he appeared behind Sarutobi.

They turned back to see General Kagami behind them. As he made certain hand signs.
"Nova Flare",
He generates a small ball in his arm as he threw it.
BOOOMMMM
A massive, tremendously powerful explosion expanding in meters, incinerating everything within its radius and creating a massive crater in the process. Eventually destroying hundreds of Iwa shinobis in one go.
Iwa shinobis didn't even manage to get out of the shock when hundreds and thousands of Konoha Shinobis came out of thin air. Ambushing the Iwa shinobis in a very powerful momentum.
"How? Weren't you in Iwa?", asked the bloodied Danzo.
Kagami chuckled, as he took out a paper, "Hiruzen's student Jiraiya, gave me this"
"What is it"
"The List containing the names and the identity of Iwa's spies in Konoha"
"You sent the wrong information?"
"I must say, that boy is growing to be a great spy"
"..."
Kagami grinned, "It's not just that, Right now, as we speak, we are looting their warehouses"
"..."
"..."
They were speechless
"Now then, just like old times?", asked Kagami
Danzo and Hiruzen nodded, as they get ready with newfound energy.
Things are not the same as before, Hiruzen is a Kage. Kagami is a Kage Level as well. Danzo is an Elite Jonin. They are definitely not to be trifled with.

General Aasui laughed and Laughed. He and everyone was trapped in that Genjutsu for hours.
Second Tsuchikage was pissed as well
"Passed down my orders, Spread and go to our warehouses, see if they are intact", Yelled General Aasui
"How did they do it? They were definitely real", said Onoki, Second Tsuchikage's Disciple
"There is something you should know about", Tsuchikage said
"What is it sensei?"
"Fuinjutsu can do anything"
"..."
"A Fucking Uzumaki survivor is here", said the pissed off Aasui
Shenron chuckled, as he created a vortex and disappeared in a flash

At this moment, 20 Konoha shinobis were raiding the Iwa's warehouses, Looting their Food. While they were busy with the imaginary opponents.
-North Branch- Northern mountains, Deserted House.
An Iwa shinobi had been completely repulsed by a white hair Platoon Leader. He has been a Jonin for seven years, and he is completely on the verge of the defeat by a mere Platoon Leader.
"what's your name"
"Hatake Sakumo"
"Very well Sakumo, Let's end this seriously"
"whatever"
The Iwa shinobi thrust with his body weight behind it that had been fired to quickly finish Sakumo in; had been lightly brushed aside.
This white-haired guy's blow had been of such weight that Iwa shinobi had almost accidentally dropped his spear. Voleur was the name of Iwa Jonin. As he gritted his teeth and look at the people behind Sakumo, none can leave this building anyway possible. They were in complete Lockdown. He had to be the one to make a breakthrough.
Voleur had changed his mindset, and he was increasing the severity of his attacks.
"Earth Release: Mud Spike"
He attacked with every method of offense he had, but he could not inflict any wounds. Sakumo moved nimbly and Gracefully, only deflecting attacks that deemed to be unavoidable with his sword.
"..."
"You are getting sloppy"
It had been only 3 minutes. Yet, somehow he was running sweat, down from his cheeks
He kept attacking, and only in 5 minutes, his breathing became haggard.
"Well then, this time I'll be the one attacking"
"..."
"You fought bravely. Soldier"
Sakumo started his attack in the exact way Voleur had before him.
The bulky Voleur was unable to evade as he would have liked, and the tempered blade protruding from the handle of his sword pierced through his armor. His armor that could even deflect little Elemental attacks was destroyed with ease.
He vomited blood after blood.
He finally gets it why he was so tired in such a short period of time, Sakumo's attacks were heavy, every single blow had such tremendous weight that both his hands were numb. His knees were quivering. and he was losing his stamina, just taking the recoil damage from that sword.
He was bleeding
"C-colonel Voleur—-"
"Th, the Colonel was--"
Sakumo coldly looked at others, "Charge"
Mikoto and Inzuka Tsume who was with her in this raid charged at Iwa along with Tsume's hungry dogs.
That day, Iwa lost more than 50,000 soldiers, and they lost more than enough food that could have last them through the winter.
Due to Sakumo's contributions in the Ending phase of the first war, and his numerous contributions in the Second war till now, Hatake Sakumo was Directly Promoted to Major and was given a Battalion for his remarkable contributions.
Uzumaki Shenron and Uchiha Mikoto were transferred to his Battalion after Hatake Sakumo directly asked for them.
To transfer in Battalion is tough and require numerous battle experience, but Both Shenron and Mikoto were transferred there after just 2 battles. They both were definitely the fastest to join the main army of Konoha, despite only starting from Footman's position.
The three of them are not in the fodder army anymore. Hatake Sakumo controls an Entire Battalion of shinobis, The main force of Konoha.
