4 The World After Snake (Part Two)

When the human race was hopeless and it seemed that it would not be long before the Kaijus became the true masters of the world, a revolutionary change took place.

A housewife who had narrowly escaped death called Denise Cunha Magalhães began to undergo drastic changes in her body. Not only did her appearance rejuvenate more than 30 years, as well as her skin turned into a porcelain-white skin and the next moment, a pair of butterflies wings appeared on the back of the former housewife.

While these changes shocked the population and even caused some fear among people, all doubts and fear disappeared the moment they saw the reborn Denise manage to kill a Kaiju with his own hands.

At that moment, humans who were bitterly battling only for the right to survive finally saw an opportunity to counter-attack and could not stop praying to the heavens, urging more people like Denise to appear among them.

And as if answering their prayers, in the next 100 years many people have awakened to new races, gaining powers and abilities that surpassed that of a human and finally managing to make mankind maintain a firm territory against the Kaijus.

Thanks to the temporary peace brought by the strength of these people with lineages, the scientists who had survived all the chaos and managed to bring their research tools with them, began to study hard not only the Kaijus, but also those who used their treasures to gain strength.

With their research, scientists discovered that all who had become another race had reached a certain level of strength and also found that those who had not changed in their race, even at the same level as the others, awaken other unique abilities they did not have before.

In that way, slowly, but securely, a structured cultivate system began to be established, making it easier for people to increase their strengths and abilities to hunt Kaijus.

As the years passed and human technology and knowledge increased, scientists used the books found in some Kaijus for their research.

The books on the Kaijus were always interesting, some were techniques for cultivating bodies, others for forms of alchemy, wikiopedia for different races and their powers, even knowledge about the so-called World of Cultivation.

And while the scientists have no idea why such books were within the Kaijus, they ignored this unanswered question and focused on the help that such knowledge could bring to the human race.

Thus, 1,000 years later, the human race that had been hunted to near extinction, again began to root out and extort territories of the Kaijus, slowly increasing the quantities of cities and land over human control.

But as soon as the human race was about to daydream that they would exterminate all the Kaijus, again they evolved.

Earlier, their large bodies were as targets easy to accept and even their mobility was restricted because of their large size, causing these titans to suffer the fate of elephants who were devoured by ants.

And they realized that.

In the year XXXX, more than two thousand years after the appearance of the first Kaiju, everything has changed again.

Previously, just like in Japanese films, the Kaijus have always assumed giant forms of earth beasts, whether they are lions, snakes or even insects.

But now they no longer have taken these "standard" forms, but they have begun to take shape in things that humans had never seen before, except in games and anime.

In that year, humans began to see Orcs, Globins, Slimes, Minotaurs and other beings that could only be said to be games, manga and anime.

Unfortunately unlike mangoes, the Orcs and Goblins were several times stronger than the giant Kaijus, their strength, mobility, and stamina seemed to have been compressed to that lower size.

In contrast, as the Kaijus' strength increased, the items inside them also received an upgrade in quality, becoming even more effective items and further contributing to the increase in human strength.

So the Kaijus who were now simply called monsters and humans remained in this impasse, none managing to take advantage of the other, while as mountains of bodies piled up on either side.

For more than a thousand years, the balance between the monsters and the human race has been maintained by a thread. Although they were in greater numbers, the monsters not only fought against the human race, as they fought against each other, killing and devouring their companions to become even stronger.

Because of this situation, the human race was able to stabilize even more. Building large walls with the bones of the kaijus that had slaughtered previously, developing their technology and even discovering new weapons and metal alloys capable of killing the monsters.

And at that time, there was no longer anyone who identified as being a Chinese, Brazilian or any other nationality. Nations had long since fallen, their leaders dead or gone.

Now everyone was called "Hunters" since even the weakest housewife had enough skills to hunt a low level monster.

Despite this, everyone knew that the human race was in a precarious situation. The number of monsters in the world compared to the number of humans was 100: 1 and the only reason they had not yet been exterminated, besides the sacrifice of countless lives, was because the monsters considered them to be weak ants that could be crushed at any time and preferred to spend their efforts killing each other to become stronger.

The humans? They would exterminate that weak race when they had just consumed each other.

And it was precisely for this reason that humans did not drown in the illusion that they were safe, day after day they sought advancements in their technologies and their cultivation base, preparing and waiting for the day that the monsters would attack them in battle end for the survival of the fittest.

Thanks to this quest for power, in the year XXXX a couple who had survived since the cataclysm of mankind, achieved a legendary feat.

They transcended.
