3 The World After Snake (Part One)

In the year XXXX to the city of Manaus in Brazil was attacked by a huge giant snake, an incredible amount of victims were counted, including some policemen, who even realizing that bullets had no effect against the monster, attempted to drive as many civilians as possible away from the great serpent.

Only when the army came and used an incalculable amount of .50 caliber ammunition, the snake was finally shot down and the situation controlled.

In the following days, similar cases occurred around the world with different species of animals and it was not long before authorities and scientists from different countries discovered some peculiarities about the giant creatures that were named "Kaiju" because of their similarities with the monsters from the Japanese movies.

The scientists' first discovery was that the body of the "Kaiju" would disappear after a few hours, leaving only the parts that were removed behind. Even the blood that stained the floor and the walls would disappear without a trace, while those stored in jars or preserved in some other way would continue to exist normally.

The second discovery the scientists made was that the whole Kaiju would leave behind two things: a crystal of different colors (which would later be separated into categories) and another item, which could be an herb or even a book.

But the scientists' biggest discovery was that both crystal and herbs, when consumed by guinea pigs increased strength, speed and even rejuvenated the guinea pig in question. Thanks to this, the monsters that were once seen as possible threats to the nation, have become to the nations, an incredible source of energy and power.

As soon as countries discovered the miraculous effects of the items, they created the "Hunters" a special group of military forces created with the sole purpose of killing the Kaijus and collecting the treasures kept within them.

And despite the number of Kaijus slaughtered by the various governments in the world over the years were enough to distribute to the population, virtually all governments had decided to keep the items in their vaults, discussing how they were to be distributed by those in power and going through a lot of bureaucracy and agreements under the table.

And that was the main reason for the fall of mankind.

Five years after the appearance of the first Kaiju, dubbed by governments as the Snake of Change, a never-before-seen amount of Kaijus appeared all over the globe, its strength and size being thousands of times larger than its attencessors and unable to be contained with weapons that the world had available.

With the resources that should have made mankind at least able to resist the invasion of the Kaijus, being stored in coffers or being used by powerful people in agreements and power plays, mankind was completely unable to resist, and the only governments that were able to show some resistance it was the governments of Russia, China, and North Korea, where his dictators had distributed Kaijus items to their soldiers and trusted men, making their forces even more powerful.

But even with these countries, the territory of mankind continued to be invaded and dominated by the Kaijus, who displayed a strength and strategic capability not inferior to that of humans. Counting on siege attacks, assassinations, and priority targets, the Kaijus finally showed humanity that they were not the silly, easy-to-kill beasts that humans had judged before.

In a little less than 100 years, all governments in the world were reduced to only 10 cities representing North Korea, Russia, China and other countries that came together to resist the invasion of the Kaijus, including: the United States, Japan , Germany, United Kingdom. Brazil, Egypt and France.

But at that point in the championship, nobody else cared about nonsensical things like nationality, skin color or even sexual choice. Given the riskof the entire human race to be extinguished, what does it matter if you're American, Brazilian, Chinese, or whatever? Everyone here was survivors and that was all that mattered.

And it was this union before the end of its kind that gave humans hope and strength to resist the Kaijus. Thanks to the declining world population and the constant hunting of weaker Kaijus, the entire population began to gain access to the treasures within a Kaiju, making even the weakest civilian a strength comparable to a certain perfect soldier of movies.

It was in its darkest and most dangerous moment that humanity began to counterattack.
