8 Kakashi (Part-2)

He heard the giggling sound and look to the side to see Mikoto laughing.

10 years ago. He was like her. A crying mess with no strength to speak of. No one ever hugged him when he wanted it. No one cared either.

The death of Uchiha Obito did not affect the progress of the mission.

Minato felt a bit weird but let it go, "Since the first part is done successfully on time, we are officially behind the second task in terms of time, Considering we had to take a rest here"

"So, we will speed up the process, Kakashi, Rin, you will complete the mission as planned earlier"
Kakashi and Rin nodded.
"Mikoto san, I need your team to protect Kakashi and Rin. Do you have any objections?"
"No", Uchiha Mikoto said
Kan almost toppled and looked at her; shaking his head in denial. They can not accept this mission.
If she wants to do these kinds of missions, do it at her own accord and let him go.
"Do you have any objection?", Minato asked Kan
But before he can say anything, she intercepted, "He does not. Do you Kan?"
Kan trembles at this, She came out on a mission with him, and the worst thing is, Uchiha Clan knows that. She can not die or get hurt before him.
Considering his status as fodder Genin, no one will protect him when he becomes the scapegoat.
'Maybe the village? No what am I thinking, No one protected Hatake Sakumo, and he was a freaking Legend. Why would anybody protect me'
"I do not have any objection"
"Very good" Minato nodded, then his expression became serious, "Mikoto san, I will leave Kakashi and Rin under your care, You will be the leader of this entire mission"
Mikoto nodded

After Minato left to the front line using his Flying Thunder god technique.
Mikoto chuckled a bit, "Alright, the first order from me is that I am passing the leadership to Kan"
Kakashi and Rin look at Kan with their big eyes.
Kan's eyes twitch, "We need to talk. Kids, please wait here", He angrily went away.
Mikoto calmly followed.
"I am not a kid", Kakashi almost pouted at that
Rin look at Kakashi with a surprised face and giggled.

He went inside without even listening to her answer.
Once inside he looks at her, "Is life and death amusing to you? You want to take these types of missions; Be my guest, why drag me in"
"I gave you an option, You joined at your own will"
"No, I did not, You know full well that I can't go back leaving you out here. Your entire clan can not blame Minato even if anything happens to you. What about me though. Why should I become your scapegoat"

"Listen, I don't want to be famous, I don't want to become an Influential figure either, I am happy where I am, I don't have the passion, I don't have the drive to be like you guys. So, do not drag me into unnecessary plots"
"Sigh, Kan listen"
"Stop calling me Kan... We are not close enough to be on a first-name basis"
"You call me by my first name", She asked surprised
"I call everyone by their first name. It's a habit"
"Whatever, You are not going anywhere till I complete my mission"

"Captain, I think we can try to move towards a place with few people", Kakashi said at this moment
Kan shook his head, "No, This might be a trap"
Kakashi's expression was very calm, and he directly said: "Of course I know that this may be a trap, and even other Iwa shinobis may be on guard and send reinforcements when we show up"
