3 Neon Chip
The warmth and a gentle breeze can be felt through skin, while trees swaying softly while some people walking around. Some are talking happily, laughing and doing something they needed to do.
While somewhere at the 3rd wall of the city of 'HOPE', a kid at an age of 15 is training and cultivating, the confident and effort burst forth from every punch and kick he makes.
Just as Eli's about to come back at his cultivation, he heard her mother calling him for lunch.
He got up and enter the back door of the house, you can see his family is getting ready for their lunch, his father is sitting in front of the table reading a newspaper, while her mother is preparing for their lunch.
By the time Eli entered the back door towards the table, her mother noticed him and frowned.
"Hey, Eli before you sit can you go to bathe first? you're full of sweat"
When Eli heard this he himself indeed feel unconformable because of the sweat and want to bathe first before he ate his lunch, so when he heard her mother he nodded and take a bath before eating, by the time he finished, the lunch is already serve and ready at the table.
His father noticed him and looked back. He stared at Eli that just finished at bathing. Eli noticed his father look at him and ask.
"Dad, what's wrong?"
His father just looked at Eli then.
"Nothing, just notice something. "
Eli has a look of confused at his face, he did not know what his father talking about and he did not dwell a little longer and walk at the table and sit.
When the time they ate together, you can say that they had a great relationship, you can see them laughing, and talking at each other with a smile, for Eli except for diligently cultivating to protect his own life he also wants to protect what's dear to him, that's why since his father been crippled, he saw the sadness in the face of her mother when she sees his father's condition, that's stand at a tread of life and death. Lucky for them his father survive without missing a limb, but the price is overwhelming that they have shattered his meridians and cannot cultivate anymore. He can't be called 'fighter' or 'brawler' anymore.
When Eli remember what drive him today and cause him to train harder, he thought.
'I want to be strong, The Strong that everyone can look up too, and every beast and monster in every corner of this planet sees me they would shudder in fear, I want the 'POWER' of being a strong not the title of 'THE STRONGEST'.
When Eli thinking about this he heard her mother calling him.
"Hey…!! YOU STUPID BRAT…!! Oy…!! Eli what hell are you staring at the fish, don't just stare eat it, it's already dead so no need to be scared about it, not like it's gonna bite."
"Mom, it's not it. I just thinking about something."
"Thinking something? What is it?"
When Eli heard it, he almost chokes himself while eating the fish he stared at earlier.
"Nothing mom, it's just I'm already at my 3rd year high so I can already take part at 'Scouting' I just felt excited about it."
Eli says at his mother while smiling.
Her mother looked at him and the smile that Eli gave to her, she felt the ache in her heart, 'scouting' is one of the dangerous event that would happen every year, and almost 55% of the student that take part at the event either loses their life or loses something like their arm and legs.
But even though the danger can be seen, students are still eager to come and explore the world and what it has to offer. The outside world is naturally forbidden if you're not strong enough to roam and protect your own life.
When Eli sees her mother just staring at him with full of worry, Eli just stared at his mother and said confidently.
"Mom, there's no need to worry about me, their still time for me grow, and continue at cultivating and raise my stats a little, so before I go at the 'scouting' I can fully guaranty my life and comeback safely"
Her mother looked at him and a gentle smile appeared and said.
"Well, if you die out there, I would like to let you know that, I'm 100% sure to hunt you down and pull you out off the hell or heavens just to revive you and kill you myself, so you better comeback safely."
When her mother finished talking her gentle smile curled upwards, and give Eli a smile similar to a demon, Eli could feel a cold sweat running at his back, when Eli saw this he just smile back and continue eating and thought.
'If a smile could kill a person, am I already dead? I always wonder when father still has his cultivation, who is much stronger and scarier? his father or her mother?'
When Eli thought about this, he shudders when he saw her mother still staring at him. He just immediately stopped the thought he would have, and just said faintly.
"What a scary mother I have."
When her mom heard this, she frowns and looks at Eli.
"What did you just say??"
"Nothing Mom, I'm just eating my fish so-"
Before he could finish talking, his father interrupted him and said calmly.
"Stop, you two are always like this, we're still eating right now so continue that next time"
When Eli heard this, he sighs of relief and his father look at Eli said.
"Eli, I can feel you grow much faster than the other kids, what level you are now?"
When Eli heard this, he thought his father was mocking him; he had a bitter face and said.
"Growing faster than other kids? For all I know I'm much slower than all of them."
"What's your level then?"
"Level 5" when Eli said this he had a bitter face.
When her father heard this, he feels like he had a problem at both of his ear, as for her mother she stops eating and just stare at Eli and had a look of shock.
"What's that again?"
"Hmm? Level 5, why?"
When his father heard this, he just fell silence and murmured at a low voice.
"That's unbelievable, level 5? At an age of 15? His stats is already comparable to an adult stats if it's true."
He looked at Eli like looking at a monster then silently thought.
'And this prick dare to say that 'he's much slower than all of them'?, compare to him when I'm 15 I'm only level 3 so much lower than this prick what the f*ck!'
Leveling your stats is not easy as walking around the park; your stats means everything about you. Your 'Bone Foundation', your 'Muscle Strength', 'Mana Point', your Soul and everything in it. Level 1 to 3 is normal for age of 5 to 17, if you have the stats or the level of 4 at an age of 17 you will have a bright future a head of you because of how fast your stats improve, and level 5 for an age of 18 is also very good, but improving your stats is not easy as everyone's thought.
It's like you need to go at 'gym' to get a 'good body', and human body naturally improve overtime they age but that's only the minor part of the stats, so your level would not improve at all, when people age some become stronger, smarter, faster, some became blind, slower, fatter. That's why stats will increase and sometimes your stats decrease.
When his father still at his though he heard a voice.
"Ah yeah, dad I think I would make a breakthrough at my level soon though, I can say at least before the event at school this year"
While saying that Eli smile widely while telling her mother and his father the 'good news' he had.
His father is still at his thought, but when he heard this, he thought he would just spurt some blood on the table; and just die instantly, he seriously looks at him while he thought.
'Level 6! ' At the age of 15?I don't know if this prick can still be called genius or not, but is he really my son? Maybe he's a beast that took a form of my son!?'
When he thought about this, he looked meaningly at Eli. When Eli saw this, he felt weird and thought.
'What's wrong with this family? Why are they staring me like this? Wait did I ate their fish!?'
He then said.
"Hey Mom, Dad. What's wrong? why do you look at me like that?"
By time he said this his father just stared at him, then stand up and left at his seat, when Eli saw this he felt confused and don't understand why did his father left, so as his mother. A minute later his father came back and put a silvered box in the table and with a finger print code to open it, then his father put his finger then a system voice can be heard.
Beep~
While his father putting his finger at the silvered box, a mechanical voice and a whirring sound can be heard.
[SYSTEM ANYLYSING…]

[WELCOME KADE FADDEY]
The system voice ended then the silvered box open slightly and a bit of white smoke coming out of it, then his father open and the reach at the small bright red chip inside then he gave it to Eli.
"Eli, you need this. Use it before going at the school tomorrow. "
Eli looked at it and couldn't help to ask.
"What is that thing, Dad?"
His father slightly smiled and said.
"This is a 'Neon Chip' it's a chip that can help you as long as you do not disclose it and did not talk about it by anyone."
His father just sigh a little and continues saying.
"Neon Chip can help you conceal your level by any number, and by any preference you like, but you cannot change your current level at a higher level, it's just a concealment, even if you change to a lower level it will not change your stats, well I just found it while I'm on my mission outside the 'HOPE' and keep it myself and use it. Well this thing is a little weird when I use it though, but it's safe, and with the condition I have it's useless so I pass it to you to help you with it."
When Eli heard about this 'Neon Chip' he couldn't help but be surprise, he then though.
'I didn't think that such a thing is existed.'
Then his father suddenly said.
"Don't just think that everyone know this, this thing is rare as magic cluster, but it has been ban using it, you can use it but at least tell no one about it, well it had none other uses but it's useful for a roamer, and I think this thing is already the last one."
"Wait, Roamer? What's that? And wait the last one?"
When his father heard what his son said he smack his fist at Eli's head then said.
"What the heck are you asking about, eventually you would know what it is, just take your Wrist-Tec off and put the neon chip at chip slot under it, it would still update your base info itself so there's no problem, and once it's finish updating you can change to a lower level, I suggest pick level 3 or 4 it's up to you"
Then his father finished eating so as his mother and Eli himself.
Eli immediately walk to his room, as he enters he locks the door and take off his wrist-tec and put the neon chip at chip slot then, then a system voice can be heard.

When Eli heard this he was stunned and scared at the same time.
"What the heck is this chip, this is not dangerous is it? Why did this f*cking wrist-tec scan my blood for?"
Then the wrist-tec is no longer working, because of the rapid notification Eli did not hear and catch up what the Wrist-Tec entirely said.
"Looks like it really entered at sleep mode huh, well I should cultivate while waiting the update to finish."
Then Eli got downstairs and walked toward the backyard and cultivate. He practices his cultivation for at least 2 and a half then trained the basic of martial arts, while cultivating and practicing he felt that something is wrong but he naturally ignores it, while he still practices martial arts he heard a beeping sound, he looks around but no one is at the backyard of the house, then he looks at his wrist-tec, as a little light flickered can be seen he then observe a little longer then heard a system voice, when he heard the system voice he felt happy and excited.
"Well, I'm quite excited of how's the look of my system after the update hehehe."
[UPDATE FINISHED]
[STARTING SYSTEM…]

[OVERLOADING SYSTEM…]

[FAILED!]
"WHAT!? how is this possible it can't be a bug isn't? Why did it fail?"
Eli tries restarting system many times, but the answer is the same.

While Eli continuously rebooting his wrist-tec the same message could only pop up. Then Eli snap and take off the wrist-tec then slam it at the ground.
BAMM~~
"Freaking useless, it just broke my wrist-tec. This is first, ever since A.I have been created not even a bug has been reported, what luck I have to be the first person experiencing this bug."
With the current strength of Eli when he slams the wrist-tec at the ground it makes a little crack but the wrist-tec itself did not break, then he suddenly heard a system voice.

When Eli heard this he rushed over and quickly put the wrist-tec at his hand and heard.

When Eli found that the wrist-tec is working he became excited again and became happy, but the thing that shock him is that the wrist-tec is no longer calling the chip 'NEON' it change to 'LOST ANCIENT BLOOD FORM OF ?????' he was so shock he forgot that his mouth is wide open, he then thought.
'Ancient blood form? Is this thing comes from the blood then change its form to a chip?.'
While Eli became shock and excited, he looks at the wrist-tec and not even a scratch can be seen, wrist-tec is really durable but not that durable that can withstand the power of level 5, it should be already into pieces, because of that he forgot the other notification that sounded so he immediately chose a level
"Level 3"

When Eli found out it's finished, he immediately calls his status.

When Eli saw his status, he can't believe how much has changed.
"WTF!? Human - 100%? Why? Am I gonna turn into a beast, alien or some sh*t? What is this Flowing with Energy? And I'm a Descendant? WHAT? Descendant of what? And just what the heck happened on my status? It only took 3 hours how does the points raise so much? and I'm already at soul point!!? and wait BOUND!???"
Eli did not know what bound means but when he tries to remove the wrist-tec at his hand is did not even move a little, like it's already like a part of his skin.
When Eli found about the incredible status he now has, he felt scared and worry about himself and for his family, at the same time he also felt excited and happy.
"Nothing's gonna happen to me isn't? well at least I can be much stronger at the future to protect this city and my family, now I'm more than ready going at 'scouting'."
When Eli thinking about this he smiles widely, then laugh madly.
"The 'POWER' of the strong in the future I will grasp you in my hand and experience you my self"
While saying this he clenches his hand and look at the sky with a pair of a beautiful smile and a handsome face, the image he had now can captivate any woman's heart.
But Eli didn't know that the change he had now is only the beginning.

(Author note #1: I will make a novel with a minimum of 2000 to 2500 words, so I'm sorry I don't know if that's a low number of words or not but I'll stick at it, maybe I would do 3000 or 3500 sometimes, something like this chapter it almost had a 3100+ word including this notes I did.)
