The Leader Of Legendclad (I)

Seunghyuk just waved goodbye as he exited the Battle space and when he was transmitted back to the lobby of the space of consciousness, his clothes somehow magically reappeared again. That further confirmed that whatever happens in the Battle Pod stays in it and would not inflict actual harm on the human body in real life. Seunghyuk was glad to hear that, but now he had to clear his mind again to absorb another round of stat points.

Seunghyuk nodded contentedly at the fruitful rewards he had just received from the System for completing the mission, and to think that he's 10th Battle Pod fight win would be against Jisung, he felt weirdly glad deep down.

"Okay...I have to absorb all these points first..." Seunghyuk sat down and let all the 12 total stat points fuse with his body as his overall abilities started to increase, "Great, now the levelling-up process only seemed more warming and comfortable than painful now. Next, System: Use the 2-star Mastery Upgrade Point on the skill Dancing With Fire."

"Okay...I think it's time to see the outside world..." Seunghyuk logged out mentally and slowly blinked his eyes opened, but his calmness was shortly broken into irreparable pieces when he saw not one, but two faces pressed onto the glass door of the Battle Pod, "I don't think I'll open the door, I'll rather keep my distance..."

Yumi showed Seunghyuk a face of blank pity as she motioned for Jisung standing beside her to hit the button on the side of the Battle Pod. The glass door slid open and Yumi tried to grab Seunghyuk up by his collar but Yumi only tore out a piece of Seunghyuk's shirt, now he had to walk around showing his chest to the whole world.

"Ah! Seunghyuk...you! Whatever!" Yumi seemed flushed with red again and Seunghyuk knew the exact reason why but he decided to watch how the scene would unfold, "Choi Seunghyuk! Did you just pay $125 dollars with my card? MY card? I thought I said to keep it under $100!"

Seunghyuk stared at Yumi soullessly, not wanting to exit the Battle Pod or give her a response, but Jisung seemed to help perfectly well, in terms of making her even more annoyed and mad.

"Yumi-noona, you know...The food in The Gold Hold are at least a $100, right? Isn't it a little impossible to..." Jisung started to explain but he was cut off by Yumi's swift arm pressed onto his mouth, and only muffled screams escaped while Yumi shouted, "I don't care! Now I'm broke! I'm broke, what do I do?"

"I think what we should do now is to tell the members of the company a few things," Seunghyuk exited the pod, untying the knot around his waist tied with his jacket sleeves, then he swung the jacket hard to neaten it, wearing it over his shoulders, "2 days is a little too long, and after all, the strongest man in the company is defeated by me, so they have to listen to me, right?"

Seunghyuk said and Jisung pouted immediately, and Seunghyuk gave a smart guess, which had a 99.99 per cent chance of being accurate, stating that Jisung was just a little sour that Seunghyuk did not tell him firsthand that he was the leader of Legendclad. Jisung thought about what Seunghyuk had said and cocked his head to the side.

"No, not necessarily..." Jisung replied, and Yumi.also nodded furiously in agreement which troubled Seunghyuk, "Why? Is there still something they cannot agree on? Or..."

"(Do) they only reject for the sake of rejecting..." Seunghyuk and Jisung said in unison with only a one word difference, Yumi only watched and listened on to the conversation wordlessly as Seunghyuk continued, "There should still be something I can do to control the members, and I think I have a way to do it: Proving it to those who are unhappy."

Seunghyuk said his plan, which sounded ridiculous to Yumi and Jisung, but still, they themselves were unable to think of another better idea to control the members, which was ironic. Yumi being a Secretary and Jisung being the Head of Gold-ranked Members, both being unable to wrap their heads fully around the issue.

"I guess it's work..." Yumi said with a sigh and Jisung got restless, walking up to the Battle Pod and hitting the side button again to close the glass door, then Yumi expressed her worries," But if there is a huge number of members being unhappy with you being the leader and the change of the Company name, it's going to be risky and dangerous..."

"Life is about taking risks anyways..." Seunghyuk said dismissively and walked out of the room, signalling with his hand that they should go with Yumi suddenly panicking as she frantically tapped some buttons on her mobile phone then sighed as she said, "Yeah, now all of the members should have been waiting in Level 1 now. Just wing it, there's nothing I can do to help anymore honestly. Do you want a kiss?"

"No," Seunghyuk immediately rejected her and she dropped her brows with a "tch" escaping her mouth, but Jisung decided to take the time to say, "Yumi-noona, so you're really not Seunghyuk-hyung's girlfriend?"

Seunghyuk sighed in exasperation as he walked out quickly to the lift and both of them followed behind, then they took a deadly silent trip down to Level 1. Seunghyuk breathed regularly in and out to stabilize his fast-beating heart, and when the doors open to Level 1, Seunghyuk was the first to come out as many members turned their heads around to look at the commotion. Seunghyuk headed through the crowd slowly as he merely walked forward, waiting for the members to shift to the side before he continued to proceed forward until he reached the end of Level 1, near the back of the canteen.

"Can everyone hear me?" Seunghyuk shouted, and his voice was amplified 4 to 5 times louder by chewing a special gum Yumi gave to him, "Since no one showed that they can't, I'll continue. But first things first, before anything is said, I hope every single one of you here will maintain an opened mind, be accepting of new terms and happenings, because things might get a little rowdy later on. Also, yes, the rowdiness would spread starting from all of you, so I hope we can finish this civily without needing to create unnecessary chaos, got it?"

"Who are you to talk to us like that?" A random voice from the silver-ranked members' area sounded out and made Seunghyuk go berserk internally but he only shook his head slightly, using his Eye of Detection properly, and replied, "Well to answer Mr. Han Baekgu's really respectful question phrased politely, I am your next Leader after Kim Seongwon."

The whole crowd of member were initially silent, because some were shocked by how Seunghyuk knew exactly who spoke, some were surprised by the heavy sarcasm in his voice when he replied, but most were practically dumbfounded when they found out that Seunghyuk was going to be steeping us as the next leader.

"I object to this!"

"I object too! Why should we follow an inexperienced young man!"

"Go home! You're not needed here! You're of no help to us!"

The whole crowd became loose and rowdy, throwing objections and insulting comments towards Seunghyuk but he just pulled out a chair from the canteen tables and sat there looking at the commotion poisely. Seunghyuk looked at his fingers as his eyes scanned briefly across the clamorous members and breathed in painfully closing his eyes, then opening it slowly. Yumi was only seen choked up in the corner, being unable to walk up ahead to help, Jisung himself was trying to surf through the crowd waves in order to get to me and the whole situation was going slowly out of hand

"Okay, I'm done being civil," Seunghyuk said menacingly and his eyes flashed petrifyingly with a shade of red in his pupils, that was not any skill that he had possessed, but out of the frustration built up deep inside him, he developed a new skill of Petrification, "No one wants to settle this the peaceful way..."

There was a thick slice of pressure hanging in the air as the. crowd went silent, some with concentration but most out of fear.

"Legendclad, which will be the new Company name from now on, will not accept prideful members who find fault in everything and are unaccepting to new things, that makes you inflexible and you can very possibly lose even your lives. Anybody wants prove? Ask some of your bronze and silver members, did any of them realise some of their rankmates are still not back from the Obelisks? Yes, they died when they tried to conquer the Obelisk under Kim Seongwon," Seunghyuk said sternly, the red glow still flashed threateningly in his eyes, so he stood up from his chair and stepped forward, the front few members squirmed back in fright as Seunghyuk continued, "So let's play a simple game of one on one..."

"Which whoever loses can simply pack up and leave Legendclad, and I don't mind sending anybody who still wants to work under Kim Seongwon, under ConcCube to be buried next to Kim Seongwon. Who's first?" Seunghyuk said with a tone so frightening that almost the whole crowd was shaking physically.
