9 Chapter 9 Past

Lan Yunxiao scanned the general dining hall as if looking for someone. After a while, he spotted Lim Su Ren who was casually sitting on one of the tables with her head leaning on the window.

Lim Su Ren who was lazily leaning her head against the window slightly tilted her head up after sensing that someone was watching her. Looking up, she saw a handsome young man dressed in blue robes who currently looking at her from one of the private dining rooms.

Their eyes met for a moment.

'Is he an envoy from the heavenly realm! what a handsome guy!' thought Lim Su Ren shifting her gaze away from Lan Yunxiao calmly.

Lan Yunxiao was quite surprised seeing Lim Su Ren's calm demeanor because many young ladies would often be stunned after looking at his countenance but Lim Su Ren was so calm and didn't display any kind of interest towards him.

"Interesting... as expected, she is not a simple character," said Lan Yunxiao leaning on the chair while putting a piece of meat on his mouth.

Lim Su Ren didn't pay heed to Lan Yunxiao after that, he just thought of him as a spoiled son of some rich household who goes on seducing all the girls he came across. Currently, she was fully immersed in the joy the food is bringing to her tastebuds.

One after another, different kinds of signature dishes went inside Lim Su Ren's tiny stomach.

Lan Yunxiao was still looking at her with a slight smile hanging on his lips. He seems to enjoy looking at Lim Su Ren who was trying out different kinds of dishes.

'knock, knock'

There was a knock on the private dining room of Lan Yunxiao. Without turning away his gaze, he said "Come in"

Shadow came in and immediately half kneeled in front of Lan Yunxiao.

"Master, after investigating, I found out that, the daughter of Marquis went to the Frost mountain to train"

"She is called Lim Su Ren"

Lan Yunxiao turned around and said to Shadow, " Get up and look down"

Shadow immediately got up and look at the general dining hall. Noticing Lim Su Ren, shadow immediately turned towards Lan Yunxiao and said, "Master, that's her, but how did you..."

Shadow had seen the portrait of Lim Su Ren and had investigated it but he was surprised as to how did his master found out just by staying at the inn. He felt that all his hard work was now gone in vain.

Lan Yunxiao also didn't think he would see Lim Su Ren here at Phoenix inn. Before when he was eating his dinner, he felt the cold energy coming from the general dining hall. It was the same cold energy that he felt back at the Frost mountain.

Turning his attention towards Lim Su Ren who was currently munching on the drumstick of some spiritual bird, he smiled and said, "Tell me more about her"

Executing the Deviant Flame sword art, Lim Su Ren jumped up the roof while quickly taking out her hairpin with one hand and swiftly threw it towards the direction of the Gingko tree in her courtyard.

The hairpin disappeared inside the leaves and at the same time, a man in black jumped down from the tree holding the hairpin and said, "Impressive, it almost hit me"
