4 chapter 3 :- Realisation: we are just pawns

On truck she realised that not all her companions from her battalion were present there. But what could she ask when everyone was weeping or sitting like someone took like the soul out of there bodies.

Oh no, not exactly all, there were exceptions , like sophia herself and two others who were sitting in extreme end corners of truck.

One Sitting with closed eyes and folded arms, as calm as water and other who was directly looking at sophia with no fear of her circumstances what so ever as if all of this was normal for her , were the two people most trusted by sophia . NOVA ARCHER and BELLA WES CASSIDY.

Bella stood up from her seat and sat next to sophia. She whispered in her ear.

"Why do you think that captain and vice- captain are both not here with us"

Sophia shook her head in the gesture of no, sadly she said

"I wish I did , but I don't know any better than you do ", " it's so dark here how did you even notice exactly which person is present and which is not"  she added .

Bella replied " it's really strange, although I live so near your house, they picked me first and everybody came after me and it seems like you are the last one since they have not stopped for a while now. They are picking us up in a really strange order "

"I can't put my finger on it but something isn't right , something strange is going on here , I mean look at these costumes, we are suppose to go for war so why are we wearing dresses of assassins , instead of military uniforms"  sophia exclaimed

"I know, have you realised that despite having our military dresses already with us , we were strictly ordered to wear these and not even instructed to bring our military dresses with us , isn't this strange"said Bella with a very confused expression.

"I realised something too, If you see closely, there is alot of space still left but we were designated our places by these numbers and there are no more numbered seats left , we are a battalion of 49 cedits and only 28 are present by my count."added nova who was surprisingly very tall, she looked like a grimreaper in that uniform .

They talked and talked trying to figure things out due to that they lost the track of time, when the truck suddenly stopped and out of nowhere, a gas started leaking in the truck , every one was panicking. Well , it was not totally unexpected but it was so out of no where that no one got anytime to react or save there conciousness and one by one everyone got knocked out.

After that the whole journey was a question mark and a blank part of there story.

When they gained conciousness, they were wearing big bulky black clocks lined with fur to keep they warm .

Finally the door opened and in bewilderness and half conciousness they looked out side .....there was snow everywhere, huge mountains , frozen trees and sheets of snow everywhere.

Standing in front of door , a man almost like a giant, wearing strange white cloak. He gave them the signal to come out with his hand . There was definitely hesitation in group but no resistance.

They came down silently like some dead bodies were walking in a straight line. Sophia , Bella and Nova came out in the end and the truck moved out.

Without saying a word that man disappeared leaving them in wilderness.

After walking for a while in straight direction, they found a big door , giant one , there was tight camera security around it and boards were made to be seen from miles to stop.

It looked like a highly secretive government grounds.

Most of there squad was not able to understand what was going on. They were told that they will be taken to training grounds near their city but they were standing in the middle of nowhere.... hopelessly.

But some people did understand what was going on including Sophia, Bella and Nova.

They were not here for training but to become lab rats aka test subjects of government superiors on human experimentation to play with them as there battle dolls.

Surprisingly Sophia's grandfather was a politician who had gone missing a few years ago. She remembered that once she was randomly taking a stroll in his office when she was still young, she saw a file  about Human Experimentation Lab Grounds (HELG).

But despite her small age Sophia understood politics better than any other person and she was always interested in her grandfather's work.

Looking st the way her grandpa was collecting documents it looked like he was trying to stop this from opening. But she never had the allowance to go through secret files that her grandfather held and seeing how this was marked top secret file , she avoided getting in trouble. It was around that time only when her grandpa disappeared without a trace and never came back.

Everything was starting to make sense now to her. But what could they do they had no idea of there location. The last time she had her conciousness she was in or around her city and now she is in the middle of these frozen mountains. They could be out of Esmond but seeing the situation of war was it was a hard pass. But even if they were Esmond Empire , these were two opposite directions. Far East and far west .

How did they even kept them alive without food or water seeing there were no signs of glucose Intravenous Infusion in there hands or feet and how many days and it even been since she left house.

There were so many questions but no one ....anyone that could help her.

This time....this girl who always had a solution to every situation, who had her aids always by her side was all by herself.....and now she had to make her own path to walk on.

This where the journey of WAR DOLLS and THE DOLL OF DEATH begin.
