3 Chapter 2

"Uwaa, this is awesome, but where are we going? You basically kidnapped me," said Daesin, as he got pulled by Eli.

"We're going to the Unknown's High. You must be able to control your magic power. It is an incredible one," she replied.

"Daesin, we've reached your destination. Do you see that big castle? That's the school," said Eli. "There is a levitating statue in the middle of the schoolyard. Look on the grass."

There was a big, golden statue levitating on the schoolyard. There were also weird trees and plants. Oddly, the trees still had their leaves on it, and they even had petals with the colors of the rainbow.

The schoolyard was empty as everyone still had classes.

"Wait a second, Daesin. I'll create another slide so we can land safely on that flowerbed," said Eli.

""Aaaahhh!"" They screamed as they landed on the flowerbed made of beautiful sunflowers. Daesin landed on his butt, but it didn't even hurt him a bit.

"Nooo!" Screamed Daesin. "My uniform is completely ruined. Cuts and dirt."

Daesin looked around him.

"Wait, Eli, where are you?" Asked Daesin.

He couldn't find Eli anywhere. "I'm already going inside then."

When he got inside, an old and short man was standing in the hallway. Supposedly, Daesin had to register at the desk. He had to show his ID, which he luckily still had, to the secretary behind the desk.

"Great, Daesin. You can follow that man. Your class will be 2F."

"Oh, thanks." Daesin nodded his head and went to the man.

"Follow me and don't wander. This school sometimes has its own will."

"Hey, old man. Can we skip this part? I want to meet my new class," said the excited Daesin.

"Are you sure, Daesin? And don't call me old. I'm forty years old!" The old man replied.

"Yeah, yeah. Just bring me to my class please, mister?"

They walked to the other side of the school building and Daesin noticed the change in atmosphere. The old man suddenly started to talk with a broad smile on his face.

"Young man. It is astounding to have the nephew of Carter in my class. He one of my best friends, Daesin, I will teach you well."

"Also nice to meet you, sir. I've heard from uncle Carter that there was a teacher who is his best friend. Never knew that it would be you and on top of that, my teacher," said Daesin.

"This conversation can wait for a little. We have arrived. Welcome to your new class and your new family from now on. You will learn everything about the school and the dorms at the end of the day." They stopped in front of a beautifully carved door, made out of stone.

"We've arrived."

"Watch now, there is a trick to open this door," said the teacher as he touched the door. "Pour some of your mana into it, and it opens directly."

"Does it work for everyone?" Daesin asked.

"Well, right now it won't work for you. You've got to go to the Mana Room so you can register your mana."

"Register?"

"Yeah, you have to pour some of your mana into the Mana Pot, so the school will eventually recognize your mana. And don't think you can enter every room. The school knows if you are a student or teacher," said the teacher.

"Are there any rooms you can't enter as a teacher?"

"Depends. A male can't enter the female dorm and the opposite. Oh, and the principal's office can only be opened by the principal himself," explained the teacher. "Now, let me continue."

After the teacher touched the door, it opened itself. Daesin walked in and 16 other heads could be count. They were all sitting in small groups of four. The one he noticed first was a boy with blond hair, that hung over his neck. He was about 1.55 meters tall. Had big eyes and a scar on the left side of his mouth, as if someone had tried to rip his mouth open, but failed.

"Goodmorning class. The person I have got with me today is Daesin, the new student," said the teacher. "Introduce yourself, Daesin. Oh and class, ask some questions."

"Hello, I am Daesin. I am fifteen years old, so about the same age as you guys."

"..."

The teacher complained: "Why are you all so quiet. Let's see, who? Yes, Quinn ask something, right now! I know you've got a question, so don't hold back."

The small guy, with blond hair, big eyes and the scar on the left of his mouth, stood up.

"Daesin, if I say it correct, what is your goal right now? Why did you join this school?

"Well, I decided to join this school, because I just awakened my power. I tried to control it, but it is just too much. And I'm not trying to be rude, but my goal is something personal."

"Okaaay, but what is your power?" Asked Quinn.

"Crimson fire."

"..."

"Daesin, you've got quite a rare power there," said the teacher. "It is really powerful and the flames are wild. I think you've chosen the right school. We will teach you how to control such a dangerous power."

"What is your power, Quinn?" Asked Daesin.

Quinn didn't say anything. He thought back to a terrifying time. Crimson flames had spread to the edge of the village. Hollow screams and crying children endlessly could be heard.

"Uh-um, Quinn?" Asked the teacher.

"Sorry. My power is controlling nature, well, to a certain extent," Quinn sat down and looked the other way.

Daesin ignored his behavior and asked: "Teacher, where is my seat?"

"You can sit in Quinns group. There is one empty seat next to him."

"Okay, class. We will start with mathematics, get your books ready and let me see your homework," said the teacher. "Oh, yeah. Daesin, my name is Theodore."

By the end of the lesson, Daesin had, in contrary to what the teacher and the other students thought, made all the mathematics homework and everything was utterly well.

'Ding, dong, ting, tong.' The school bell rang.

"Well done, Daesin. Now class. It's 1 PM, now we have a break. I expect you all back at 1:30 PM on the sports field. Everyone who's late will run twenty rounds around the running track. Dismissed."

Everyone left the room except for Theodore. He would have his break in the classroom. There was quite a good view from the first floor on the schoolyard.
