36 Chapter 36: The More the Merrier (2)

3rd POV:

The next day after Team One returned to the village, Kakashi, Sakumo, and Shiro went to the place where the summoned dogs of the Hatake Clan reside. When they got there, they saw a land full of grass and some dogs running around. There is also a large shed where some dogs are resting.

"Kakashi, we are here. Well, let me explain to you how to make a contract with the dogs. But before that, do you know how the Sannin make their contract?" Sakumo asked Kakashi.

"Jiraiya-san and Tsunade-sensei told me that the three sage beasts, the slug, toad, and the snake, have different ways on how to get a summon. But they told me that if you are acknowledged by the Great Sage of each beast, you can summon any beasts within their place." Kakashi answered.

"That is correct. The summoning for the dogs on the other hand is not the same because they have no leader or Great Sage. And so, you must make the contract to each and every dog you wanted to have. Originally, each dog must give a trial to the one who wishes to contract with them but members of the Hatake Clan are exempted from this rule. But then we have a limitation on how many contracts we must have and the limit is up to eight dogs." Sakumo explained to Kakashi.

"Does that mean I can just pick eight dogs and they will make a contract with me?" Kakashi asked. Sakumo then nodded as an answer.

After their conversation, Kakashi and Shiro set off to find his original summons from his past life. It didn't take long to find who he was looking for because the number of dogs in the area is quite small and Shiro can smell if there is a dog nearby. All in all, he managed to find all of his original summon. It took them more or less an hour to finish the contract.

Kakashi then went to an open space with the dogs he just contracted with.

"As I said earlier before I contracted with you all, I am Hatake Kakashi and this is Shiro. I know this may be sudden to some of you but I am your new contractor. I hope we can get along nicely." Kakashi then bowed down as a sign of respect to them. Shiro on the other hand barked once to show her respect.

"WE ALSO HOPE TO GET ALONG WITH YOU, KAKASHI-SAMA!" all the dogs said in unison.

"Please drop the honorifics. It makes me kinda uncomfortable." Kakashi then said with a smile under his mask.

"Oh, and by the way, can you leave this place and tag along with me during missions? I am just curious." Kakashi suddenly asked.

"Yes we can but we prefer not to. We wanted to train more here and well, the amount of chakra you will consume to summon us is not that much because we are kinda small to begin with." A cute brown pug answered Kakashi.

"Is that so? Then I will come to summon you when I need help and visit you regularly."

"Thank you, Kakashi."

Kakashi and Shiro went to a near training ground to train. Sakumo on the other hand left to do his duties as the Jonin Commander of the Leaf. This day is a free day for Team One after their first "C-rank" mission.

When Kakashi and Shiro arrived at the training ground, they saw a yellow-haired boy staring at his hand and is sweating a lot.

"Minato-san, what are you doing here?" Kakashi asked.

"Ah, Kakashi-kun and Shiro-chan. Well, I am inventing a new technique. Remember that time when the Sanbi used a Tailed Beast Bomb? I plan to recreate it but on a smaller scale. If I succeed, this will be the highest form of shape transformation. I shall call it "Super Spiralling Ball of Chakra Spear."

Kakashi and Shiro just stared at Minato for a while before they can take in what he just said. First, they are amazed at how much of a genius Minato is. Second is his horrible sensing name.

"What is wrong with you, Minato-san. YOUR NAMING SUCKS!!! And what is the spear at the end? It doesn't fit at all!!!" Kakashi can't stop laughing while talking.

"Then what do you suggest?" Minato asked Kakashi.

"Well, first of all, the jutsu is not yet finished so it is hard to picture it and give it a name. I suggest naming it after completing the jutsu. By the way, do you want our help? I was gonna train today but inventing a new jutsu is way more exciting."

'If Minato-san completed the Rasengan earlier than my past life, he will become more powerful and maybe complete it with his Lightning Nature like what Naruto did with his Rasenshuriken. And, I know how to do it so I can just give him some tips. I'm pretty sure he Minato-san will get it later on' Kakashi thought to himself.

"Well, I will take you on that offer." Minato agreed without hesitation.

'I should probably just guide him on how to make a Rasengan. The situation is different when I made the Chidori because I just said that it is based on the Lightning jutsu the Hatake Clan is using. It will be weird if I suddenly know how to do a jutsu from scratch by just looking at it.'

"So Minato-san, what is the principle behind your jutsu?" Kakashi asked.

"Well, first of all, you must focus your chakra at one point, in this situation, the center of your palm. And then compress it into a sphere-like thing until it became larger like a football. The problem is that it explodes quickly just after I compress it into a marble-size thing... I have been training this for five months now but... it seems I hit a bottleneck." Minato said while demonstrating how to do it.

"Then maybe you can change the way you compress it and make it easier? For example, let's say... instead of forcefully compressing it, why not use rotation the compress it."

Minato just stared at Kakashi for a while and suddenly became excited. He is so focused on compressing it at one point and forgot to think of an easier way to compress it.

"Let me try."

Minato again stretches his hand but unlike what he demonstrated earlier where the chakra just went straight at the center, now the chakra is rotating around the center of the palm before being compress. The chakra took shape into a sphere and later on became as large as a football.

Then Minato faced a large boulder at the side of the training ground and smashed the ball of chakra into it. The result was a crater with two feet as a diameter.

"Now we just need to train it and well, I can't still sustain its consistency so it is much powerful than that. I think this jutsu alone is an A-rank jutsu without the Chakra Nature if we mastered it." Minato said happily as he ruffles Kakashi's hair due to his excitement.

'To think he did it in just a couple of minutes. Though he is yet to master it, it will only take at least a week before that. I guess Minato-san's main problem with this jutsu is the concept of rotation so it took him three years to master it. And maybe the war ended earlier than in my past life so he can focus on his training.' Kakashi thought to himself.

"So Kakashi-kun, can you give it a name? You help me develop it so it is only right that you name it. And well, my naming sense is bad, at least, that's what everyone says." Minato said at Kakashi.

"Then, let's call it "Rasengan". It's short and easy to say." Kakashi answered. He did not want Minato to choose the name and well, it is the signature move of the Father and Son that shook the Shinobi world by storm.

"Then from now on, this jutsu is called Rasengan. Let's go to the Hokage and register this jutsu after we master it. We can exchange it for a few jutsu with the same rank or, we can exchange it for money."
