Know your place!

Something Xing always believed is that one should do what they must do. If you are a horse, carry people. If you are a dog, guard the home. If you are a tiger, rule your territory.

Lying on the ground, Xing laughed at herself. What is her place? She'd always thought that being with her prince was her destiny. But why is everything different?

Also, In the short amount of time, she had broken two of her own vows, she'd killed unnecessarily and made a deal with a God.

Xing knew she cannot fight destiny head on. It is unwise to swim against the current when you are stuck in a flooding river. That doesn't mean she should just flow through the current and end up in a place she does not like. She has to find a way to swim diagonally to reach the shore. It may be hard and take a long time but if she wants to be in the shore, that's her only way.
