65 Arms of Agnorah (2)

Master Haniki rubbed his palms together. He knew Koo was right. Though many people had no idea what an Arm of Agnorah looked like, there were some people who did. The Agnorah Clan were the only people who knew about the Ancient Mystical Art of Weaponry that is used to forge these special weapons highly coveted by very powerful people throughout the Second Dimension.

Throughout history, only twelve of these arms have been made for special people. All the twelve possessors of the Arms of Agnorah were people with beast-type soul armos. Combining the power of their powerful soul armos with another powerful legendary weapon made them some of the fiercest warriors and protectors of the Second Dimension.

There were many people who sought this kind of power for themselves, however, no matter how much money the clan was offered to make these weapons on a large scale, it was utterly refused. Thus, there were many people who would do anything to get their hands on one of those arms. Since the twelve people who wielded the Arms of Agnorah were extremely powerful people, it would take a special kind of stupid person to pick a fight with them all in the name of going after their weapons. It was even a more stupid idea to go to war with the Agnorah Clan all in the name of gaining an Arm of Agnorah.

But if people found out that there was a thirteenth arm, and it was wielded by a child who had not even manifested her essence, won't there be a target on her back? All kinds of dangerous individuals and syndicates would crawl out of their holes just so they could lay their hands on this precious weapon.

"What was Luwei thinking? No wonder he never mentioned it to me." Master Haniki muttered. It was good he had asked Koo to divert the recording to only his screen. But still, in the second phase of the trials, people were bound to see her sword. Fortunately, only a few people knew what an Arm of Agnorah looked like. Even Koo Minchii had no idea. He really need to talk to Savyrran. Was she even aware about the true power of her sword? Was that perhaps the reason why she was so confident in her strength.

No. It couldn't be. The sword's true power is only revealed when she uses her essence. And since she had no essence, it would not make any sense for Luwei to tell her about what the sword was capable. Unless Luwei had hopes that some day Savyrran would manifest her essence. But that was unheard of. The oldest anyone had been to manifest their essence was around seven years old. Savyrran was fifteen. Her situation was hopeless.

"People who are after those arms are usually indigo users, or blue users on the verge of advancing. Savyrran may be strong enough against green users or perhaps a blue user. But indigo users are in a different league of their own." As Koo Minchii said this, his eyes would not leave Master Haniki.

As someone who was personally trained by Combat Masters in the Yugaki-Haniki Clan, Master Koo Minchii knew how extremely powerful indigo users were. Though he had an evolved blue soul armos, he could never dream about going face to face with Master Haniki, an indigo user. The man would simply crush him. So how could Savyrran possibly stand a chance with such a huge target on her back?

"That sly fox." Master Haniki chuckled. Luwei Bufan had implored him to personally train Savyrran. Now he understood why. It was because Luwei knew that if Haniki took on Savyrran as his own disciple he would have no other choice than to protect her once people learned that she had one of the Arms of Agnorah.

"Koo… Can you get Savyrran to run into a legendary soul beast?"

Koo Minchii's expression never wavered. However, he had not expected such a question. He nodded nonetheless. "I can. But that would be dangerous. I didn't want the trial to be too difficult so I created only one legendary soul beast in the forest. And it would only be found by those who actively look for it. She won't find it unless she wants to."

Master Haniki looked up at the screen only to see that Savyrran had finally caught up with the two girls she saved from the boys. He smiled when he remembered how bravely she had stood up for those two girls. If nothing at all, she certainly reminded him of Yidai Bufan, Luwei's father. They were both strong, fearless and kind.

"Maybe you should let her find one. You make the rules in Naa Vah. I'm sure you can break them."

"She could get killed."

"Perhaps. She needs to learn that there are powers lurking in the dark far stronger than she is. The legendary soul beast would teach her that. Besides, the legendary soul beast is not a true legendary soul beast because Naa Vah is only an evolved blue soul armos. Don't you think it will be an excellent way to gauge her full strength?"

"Forgive me Master Haniki, but I can't do that. I don't care how strong she is but that child would be killed by the legendary soul beast. If she dies it could lead to a war we aren't prepared to have in the continent."

Master Haniki looked at Koo as though he had just grown a second head. This man and his over analytical mind. How did he even get war from something this simple? Everyone understood how dangerous the trials could be. Yet, they still go through it anyway. When applicants die, no one starts a war, after all, they fully understood what they signed up for. But of course, he should have known that there was no way Koo would break the rules in Naa Vah.

"If I break the rules and make the legendary soul beast come to her without her looking for it, that would be unfair. If she dies, it will be because we caused it and not because she chose it. And if Luwei finds that out, which he will, you are going to incur his wrath. He may only be a yellow user but he has the full backing of the Bufan Clan and Blue Dragon Sect both in Igabran Kingdom. Here in Dream Kingdom, he has the backing of Agnorah Clan. Besides, his father is a Vanquisher, with powerful allies in the Vanquisher Corps and Chi Wulu.

"You, on the other hand, are backed by the Yugaki-Haniki Clan and the Royal Family. You also have allies who are Vanquishers and Chi Wulu, and it isn't in the interest of these two kingdoms for such powerful families to be at war with each other. Don't you think? Besides, a war involving the Vanquishers and Chi Wulu could spread throughout the Second Dimension. It's too big a risk."

Master Haniki smiled bitterly. As far fetched as this sounded, he knew Koo was speaking the truth. Luwei Bufan was very protective of his disciples. And the fact that he himself had spoken very highly of Savyrran Thark meant that he he would do anything to uncover the truth if something happened to the girl. And if Luwei found out how she came to harm, it really could lead to a war in the Second Dimension.

How is it that a simple child from a small town in the south had such powerful people backing her? Maybe this was why Luwei was not worried about Savyrran wielding an Arm of Agnorah. And now that he was going to personally train her, she would be under the protection of the Yugaki-Haniki Clan too.

Still, Master Haniki believed that the best protection a person could have was the protection they offered themselves. Thus, he knew that he had to help the girl reach her highest potential if she is to protect herself.

"You are right. How about this, if indeed she is able to pass all the trials, I will train her myself. But I won't go easy on her."

"That sounds fair. I know you won't go easy on her. But at least, you won't try to kill her either."

"You think?" Master Haniki laughed heartily. "Luwei specifically told me to always try to kill her anytime I train her."

Koo Minchii only stared at the amused Master Haniki, then breathed in and out slightly. Sometimes, whenever he looked into the bright eyes of the young looking man who happened to be the Head of the Combat School, he usually forgot that the man was seven decades older than him. Most of the time Master Haniki was so indifferent and jovial about everything that it was always hard to remember that the man was over three centuries old.
