25 Aftermath

With Captain Roggo's soul armos, the captain compelled Rovirrak to spill everything he knew. This was how the Soul Guardians were able to locate the children on the island. According to Rovirrak's information there were three people involved in the kidnapping. However, the Soul Guardians were able to find only Ayoro Basam and Rovirrak Bi. The third person, Gonza Duju was never found.

In truth, before Gonza could regain his soul energy, the whole town awoke from their slumber. He knew that it would be unwise to pick a fight with everyone and thus, fled from the town. From the intelligence he had gathered, he knew that the captain of the Soul Guardian Force in Coast Town had a weapon-type soul armos that could compel one to speak the truth. Thus, when he heard the rumor that one of them had been captured, Gonza knew it was only a matter of time until the captain extracted every last bit of information from Rovirrak.

Without waiting to see how things turned out, Gonza escaped as soon as he regained his soul energy. He had no attachment whatsoever to Ayoro. The only reason he followed him was because Ayoro might prove to be a powerful ally once he made it into the Society of the Black Mamba. But now that it seemed that was never going to happen, why should he even put his life at risk for that man? He was not stupid.

…...

It took about a week for Coast Town to return to its peaceful state. By then, all the children, including Savyrran and Ovandarrak, had been returned to their families while Rovirrak and Ayoro were sent to the famous underground prison in Ahn Bayari.

When Mayor Danjo heard about how all the children came together to fight off the evil that threatened to destroy their town, his joy knew no bounds. He was particularly impressed with the story Lokirrak had told him about Savyrran. It was about how Savyrran had brought them all together and delegated various tasks to them to bring back all the children.

Moreover, the other children who were abducted told everyone how Savyrran and Ovandarrak had saved them from the evil man and his large tiger.

But perhaps, the biggest and most shocking news of all was when Master Bufan and Mayor Danjo learned that Ovandarrak had manifested a green essence while Kasko had evolved his newly awakened soul armos.

Kasko himself did no know he had awakened an evolved soul armos. But once he told Mayor Danjo and Master Bufan that his soul armos had said her name in his head, the two yellow users knew that that was an evolved soul armos.

Seeing the child's potential and his wish to become a soul guardian in the future, Mayor Danjo decided to sponsor Kasko's education in one of the best combat schools in the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Master Bufan had taken an interest in Savyrran's unusual strength. He was the one who had personally saved Savyrran from Ayoro Basam and in the process, he had caught a glimpse of how the child bravely fought back against Ayoro. After a discussion with Savyrran's father, Fani agreed to let his former teacher train her daughter once Savyrran was fully healed of all her injuries. After all, Master Bufan would be a better teacher than he was.

Ovandarrak on the other hand began his mental training with Doctor Avor as soon as possible. Once the doctor realised how extremely intelligent the boy was, and the boy's desire to be a soul recovery doctor one day, Doctor Avor decided to teach Ovandarrak everything he knew about medicine in addition to teaching him mental training techniques.

By the time a month passed, Savyrran was back to her full strength and completely healed of all her injuries. However, unlike Ovandarrak, Savyrran had still not manifested her essence. Fani and Wikka could not possibly understand why Savyrran had still not manifested though she was two months older than her 'twin' brother. The girl should have manifested by now. But it seemed she was probably a late bloomer.

While Fani and Wikka grew worried, Savyrran rather concentrated on her training with Master Bufan. The only thing that made her sad was that Kasko was no longer around to train with her. However, knowing that Kasko had gone to the higher academy to achieve his goals, Savyrran felt even more propelled to train harder. Some day, she would like to go to the combat school too so she could properly be trained to become a soul guardian.

Seven days a week, Savyrran underwent training from Master Bufan, for several hours everyday. Master Bufan observed that even though the child had still not manifested her essence, she showed incredible strength he had never seen in a child before. Seeing that Savyrran had already mastered all of the basics and even a few complicated techniques, the master decided to introduce her to more advanced techniques.

Master Bufan was not sure why the child could not still manifest like everyone else. In spite of being the only one among her age-group who had not manifested, Savyrran never complained. All she cared about was training more and more. Hence, not only did the old master teach Savyrran about fist and leg fighting techniques, but, he also introduced her to sword fighting.

On her sixth birthday, the old man had a beautiful black sword forged for her which Savyrran named Badisk. By the time she was ten years old, her combat skills and swordsmanship had surpassed everyone in her academy.

She felt it was time for the old man to face her with his soul armos. Since Master Bufan had a sword soul armos, Savyrran had been dying for a long time to spar with the old man while he wielded his soul armos. But the old man had utterly refused, claiming that the child was not yet ready. Instead, he trained her by wielding an ordinary sword.
