5.The first floor

Inside the Divine Splitter pagoda first floor, the one thousand participants were all separated, in this type of competition one could only relay on themselves.

A vast wilderness was infront of them, boundless mountain ranges and forests.

"The goal for all participants is to pass through this wilderness and arrive at its end to reach the security floor." The tower spirit spoke. An ancient artifact like this had gained intelligence long ago its tower spirit guaranteed the life of all the participants.

The first test was already so difficult, it could be said that even if half of the participants passed the test that would call for a celebration.

One could only imagine the level of difficulty the participants were facing.

"When you are ready to give up drop this token and you'll be transported outside the tower."The tower spirit spoke.

As Kimley faced the wilderness, he could hear roars from the ferocious beast in there. He knew that the spirit must have used space laws to separate the participants.

His blood boiled, itching for a fight. He had always wanted to fight and test his powers since he came to this world, he had decided that he'd go through this level with sheer power. He planned to plow down this forest and its denizens.

Rushing in he saw his first target a lightning panther. This beast had a beautiful white mark on its body, it was known for its agility. It pranced it him, Kimley brandished his saber and the beast was slain in half. Kimley continued on his way the beasts on the outer layer were not a threat to him and they felt an aura of ancient beast in him so they feared approaching him.

Entering the middle layer, a pack of silverback wolves attack him. The audience outside were focused on him although they could not identify as all the participants had wore masks.

This was such a dangerous situation to any participants but for Kimley this beast at the earth early layer were nothing in front of him.

Well the devil also eats insects when his hungry.

He activated the world pressure ability from his first leaf. This ability consumed no energy, it created a forcefield fifty li around him, that decreased the speed of an opponent by half while it increased his by a third.

The wolves were massacred, his saber was brandished and like a god of death. He claimed the lives if ten wolves by a single stroke. The silverback alpha kneeled in respect and Kimley was the new alpha. The wolves took him to a cave and their he saw a lake of emerald water with a golden lotus in-front him. Myriad water!!! He couldn't believe his eyes. His grandpa will probably go crazy when he sees this. He took six bottles and filled them up with the water. The plant in his dantian swayed its leaves. For the first time since it sprouted this was the first time it reached out for something. Without hesitation Kimley jumped in the lake. The little plant started absorbing the water it decreased at a fast rate visible to the naked eye. Kimley was shocked one had to know that even immortal emperors could not absorb myriad water in such a manner. It was the essence of a thousand drops of life water refined into one. This process was natural and nobody knew of it.

Seeing the level of water decrease he took a gulp of myriad water. His stomach already felt full. Strands of the heavenly laws formed a cocoon on him. He was baptized by the laws over and over again. His body was remodeled and destroyed over and over again. This increased his physical body. Occasionally lightning would be seen striking this was used to cleanse his body of impurities and strengthen his soul.

A day later the cocoon was absorbed into his body. When he woke up the first thing he did was check on his dantian the tree stood there touching the heavens at its top three more leaves had sprouted.

The first leaf had a world of lightning in it. This leaf gave him the ability to use lightning and gave him ultimate resistance against it, he was the master of lightning across all levels. This was a passive ability.

The second leaf was a world of darkness making Kimley the master of shadows. It gave him a boost of a third of his power and speed during the night.

The third leaf was a whirlpool that could swallow woulds it was spinning. This particular leaf gave him a passive boost in his speed by half at all times.

He was so fascinated that when he checked his body he found himself to be in heaven early layer in body and essence cultivation. When he wondered why he had body cultivation even when he hasn't practiced in that yet.

"I took the liberty to cultivate your body to the heaven layer, as another breakthrough would weaken your foundation." A voice was heard in his head.

"Who is it?" He asked

"Stop shouting you fool its me the nine world tree in your dantian." It said

"Well do you have a name?" Kimley asks

"Lets call you Groot okay?"

"I an Groot!" It happily said its new name, immediately taking a liking for it.

The nine world tree, it had nine golden leaves at its top that each had nine worlds in them.

Legend has it that when all the leaves combined to form one a universe could be formed. The tree gave him full control of the dao. In the heaven realm one had to comprehend the dao in order to move forward. This was a hurdle for everyone except Kimley, as the tree gave him mastery of the dao of wind, lightning, earth, darkness. He could reach peak heavenly layer whenever he wanted to but he new that he needed to accumulate a monstrous foundation as he was aiming for the perfection layer. If the geniuses outside new that he wasn't satisfied from peak layer, they'd probably slap themselves to death.

"Oh and check your soul that fellow up there has finally awoken." Groot said

"What is that thing?" Kimley screamed.
