5 The Test II-Dual Elements

Argo was naturally very happy for his friend. The same couldn't be said for Kenny lee whose face was bunched up like someone forced to swallow a pile of cow dung. Jealousy and envy could be seen in his eyes. When he realized that he had mistakenly shown an unhappy expression, he immediately forced a smile and clapped his hands; trying to show that he was happy for Jared.

"You my dear, you have great future prospects. The skies will not be your limit" The principal congratulated Jared who was still shocked at the result of his elemental affinity test.

Jared beamed as he walked down the podium towards Argo. He immediately went forward and embraced Argo. He still couldn't believe that he had the legendary Thunder Element.

"Congratulations bro… Now you will definitely become a badass in the future. Just don't forget your brother…Ha-ha" Argo laughed as he patted Jared on the back.

Though Jared felt there was something wrong with Argo's manner of speech, he just chalked it up to excitement.

"Hah… thank you, thank you. I believe Brother Argo's result will not be any less than mine is, haha" They laughed as the made some small talk.

Soon, the Testing was almost finished. There were people laughing, there were people crying. There were also a number of people who didn't know whether they should cry or laugh. But finally, it was time for our protagonist to take his test.

"ARGO TALEAN!"

The hall fell silent.

Everyone stopped talking and stared at Argo as he walked up to the podium.

As he walked by them to get to the podium, some people started whispering…

"What a pity, The Tiger general's son turned out to be a waste." One boy sighed as he shook his head.

"It's not his fault; it's those guys that took everything from him once his father went missing."

"Pueh… What a pussy. Just cause his father went missing, he gave up hope in life. I dislike people like this the most." Another spoke with disdain.

Up above the sky, an old man with white hair wearing a white suit was flying towards Hitachi high school.

"Ahh… I hope I'll make it in time. It's those old bastards fault for making me this late. I swear if I miss that boy's testing ceremony, Ill strangle them with my hands" The old man grumbled as he further increased his flying speed. He was now flying at a speed that the eye could barely follow.

Moments later, the old man came to a stop at the gates of Hitachi high school. The strange thing was that none seemed to notice him as he swaggered his way into the school and subsequently into the testing hall. He was just in time to hear the principal call the principal call Argo's name. He watched as the students whispered and pointed at Argo and called him names. He just watched all this with a cold expression, but he made sure to remember the face of each and every one of them.

The Principal nodded at Argo as he reached the podium. This was the boy he once had the most hope for in the school. He knew it was wrong, but he was very happy when he learnt that Argo was going to attend his school. Thus, he was among the people most disappointed when he started with his sulking and lackadaisical attitude. Nonetheless, he was still hoping for a miracle. And the best miracle he could ever hope for right then was Argo having at least half the elemental affinity his father had.

The Old man in White watched as Argo placed his hands on the Awakening stone. The whole hall watched with bated breath as they waited to see what Argo's Elemental affinity would be, or whether he would join the squad of crying students.

The whole hall was now getting a bit restless; Argo had had his hands placed on the stone for close to three minutes now and some of the crying students were now watching with glee in their eyes. Nothing would console them more than knowing that even The Tiger General's son had no Elemental affinity. At least they wouldn't feel like complete losers anymore.

The Old man shook his head with disappointment, the apple really fell far from the tree (1). He turned around and was getting ready to leave, when a sudden burst of bright red light assaulted the hall. The light was so bright that even someone as obviously powerful as the old man was forced to squint a little. The old man was shocked at what he saw when he turned around. A sudden fiery air curled itself around the Awakening stone, the air was becoming more and more dense. It actually turned into real fire and started burning the stone.

"P…Per…Perfect affinity! It's the Legendary Perfect affinity!" The old man stammered in shock. The Legendary perfect affinity was something that had only been heard in rumors. It was said that when ones elemental affinity reached the peak of what was possible, it manifested physically during the testing stage. That was obviously what happened just now; Argo's affinity with fire element was so high, that it reached the perfect stage and manifested during testing.

The whole hall was shocked!

But before anyone could say anything about the Perfect level Fire Element affinity, Sounds of thunder could be heard and faint purple light could be seen flickering around Argo's body in the form of lightning arcs.

It was yet another Perfect affinity. This one was of the Legendary Thunder Element!

Argo turned out to have dual element affinity.
