25 Worlds beyond comprehension

The tunnel was kaleidoscopic. Other tunnels branched off left, right, above, and below as James hurtled through without any sense of direction. Thoughts flashed through his mind like:

What had happened to Noa?

What was going on with her eyes?

Why do I recognise that demonic, distorted voice?

James continued flying until he saw a ring appear on one side of the tunnel. Another appeared on the other side and a group of six or seven people shot from one into the other. As James past the ring, he saw it was solid blue with no changes in texture or shade whatsoever. The two rings disappeared from sight and James continued his destinationless journey. Suddenly another ring appeared below James.

He was drawn into it. Everything went dark.

James could feel wind abruptly begin flowing past him and he opened his eyes. All he could see was the sky and the ring that then shrunk and disappeared without a trace. James stretched his arms out and twisted his body to look down. The earth below was charging at him like a stampede as far as the eye could see. The gravity of the situation hit James quickly. He began flailing his arms about wildly and screamed as the ground got closer. His knowledge of movies told him to spread his body out to stabilise and as he did so he felt the wind around him slow very slightly. Quickly, James scanned for a place to land safely and he found a largish body of water surrounded by a forest. He started firing pulses of energy to steer over it before imitating iron-man and fired jet like flames to slow himself. Hopefully his heightened healing would solve any injuries on landing. It was when James realised that it wasn't water below him but instead leaves that he realised his calculation were incorrect.

Snap snap snap, CRACK CRACK, snap snap, THUD THUD THUD.

James fell through branch after branch after branch until he reached the ground with a leg snapping 'CRANCH'. He stood up by supporting his right side with one of the many branches that had snapped off on his landing and looked around. There wasn't much to the forest. There was just ... green and brown. Lots and lots of green and brown. A few eyes watching him here and there and small ripples in the water. He wasn't alone.

James went to get his sword but he couldn't. Suddenly, a large, red wolf leaped out and skidded to a stop behind James while seven others followed from the water and behind trees to form an almost perfect circle around James and the red one. James raised his left fist while holding the makeshift crutch with his right. This placed seemed to not be connected to the Omni-crystal network so he would have to rely on his own energy storage. The only problem was that there was only a little energy left. Enough to use blitz for a short amount of time but the whole forest would burn to the ground and possibly kill other people or animals. Three of the wolves bent their hind legs, getting ready to launch themselves at their prey. In few seconds, it was over.

Two wolves jumped and grabbed James' arms in their jaws and he toppled to the ground. The third grabbed James' healthy leg and they all pinned him down. The red wolf trotted over and it's head looked down on James. It's eyes were full to the brim with murderous intent while it's breath stunk of rotting flesh. James blew a cloud of fire at the wolf and it receded in pain and shock. It then returned the favour and kicked James in the head with it's back legs; James was knocked out.

There was high-pitched whistle and the wolves retreated into the woods from whence they came and out came a hooded figure who knelt down and inspected James' injuries.

"So, my friend," began the figure in a low voice, "What brings you here?" They picked James up and carried him away into the woods in the direction he had come from.
